MAHER, Thomas. Passed away peacefully at the York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, Ontario on April 8, 2004. He leaves to mourn his sisters Catherine and Mary, his sister-in-law Ann (the late John) and the late Bill (Marion), niece Debbie (Ken), nephew John (Mary Ellen) as well as grandnephews and friends. Funeral Mass May 1 at 11 a.m. in St. Richards Church, 7070 Guelph blvd, Cote St. Luc. Donations may be made to the Quebec Lung Association.

Loving grandmother to Melissa, Mark, Erik, Jeremie, Audrey, Stephen, and Kerrin. Dearest sister to Jeanne D'Arc and Leonid. Funeral at Funerairium Gibeau, 107 Rue Vincent, St. Chrysostome at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

NOVY, Vilma (nee Marusiak). Born in Okolicne, Slovakia, passed away in Pointe Claire on April 28, 2004. She will be missed by her children Jana, Peter, Suzie, Eva and family in Slovakia. A memorial gathering will be held this summer in the Laurentians. The date will be announced.

Adored by her grandchildren Jason, Ryan, Jennifer, Michael and Sara. Will be deeply missed by sisters Joan, Maureen and Judy and by Maggie, her special friend. Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (Cartier exit 49), on Friday, April 30, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, Beaconsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. "I have come to the end of my journey."

PARNELL, Joan (nee Ward). In her seventy-third year of a rich and loving life, passed away on April 27, 2004, Joan Ward Parnell. She leaves to mourn with precious memories, loving husband of forty-five years, Francis, and devoted children Janice (John), Darlene (Colin) and Frank. She will be profoundly missed by grandchildren Chad, Matthew, Chase, Andrew and Evelyn, all of whom loved their Nana with endless joy - a love she returned a hundredfold each and every day of their young lives. She will be sadly missed and deeply cherished by brother Garth (Leila), sisters Viola (Ted), Regina and Donalda, sister-in-law Jackie and a host of close friends. Family and friends can visit Sunday, May 2 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be celebrated on Monday, May 3 at 11 a.m. Both the visitation and service will be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont (514) 279-6540. REGGLER, John Thomas. World War II Veteran; Canadian Grenadier Guards and Lord Strathcona Horse; Member Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 96, Brockville, Retired Bank of Montreal. At the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday April 29, 2004 at the age of eighty years. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Wilkinson) Reggler. Loving father of William Reggler (June) of Ottawa, Maureen Reggler of London, John Reggler (Tina) of Connecticut, and James Reggler (Rebecca) of Niagra Falls. Fondly remembered by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild. Family and friends are invited to a service in celebration of Jack's life on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Family will receive friends after 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Grenadier Guards, 4171 Esplanade Ave., Montreal Quebec H2W 1S9 will be gratefully acknowledged. Predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Robert and Harry and by her sisters Sadie Elder, Bessie Levinson, Irene Silverstein, and Lilian Silverstone. Dear sister-in-law of Nickie Salomon. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her 3 "Angels" Belly Gaverza, Betty Cernat, and Oditha Almanon for their devotion and compassionate care.
