At St-Mary's Hospital on November 26, 2003 aged 84 years. Beloved husband of Vera. Loving father of Loussik, father-in-law of Jorge. Cherished grandfather of Areg and Ani. Visitation will be held at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Friday, November 28 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Thence to Pointe-Claire Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Armenian Relief Society '' Sosse'' 514/335-2222 would be appreciated.

BETTS, Louisa (nee Poole)
At Notre Dame Hospital, Montreal, on Thursday, November 27th, 2003 in her 89th year. Survived by her husband Paul Van Vliet Betts, her sister Shareen (Connie) Van der Schyffe, her children, Daphne Topass, Ivan Everts, Clarence Everts, Moira Bristow, Eleanor Ryan, Owen Everts and Anthony (Tony) Everts, her daughters-in-law, Brenda, Joan, Sandra and Beulah, her son-in-law Nicholas, her 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her late husband Walter Everts, her late children, Lorraine and Valerie Everts, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 137 President-Kennedy, on Monday, December 1st at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive condolences at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.

DUCAS, Johanna Louise
Le 11 novembre 2003, à l'âge de 52 ans, au terme d'une longue maladie combattue dans le courage et la dignité est décédée Joanna Louise Ducas, fill adorée de Madelaine Ducas (Dupré) et de feu Harry John Ducas, soeur bien-aimée de Pierre. Elle laisse dans la tristesse de nombreux parents et amis au Canada et aux États-Unis, tout patriculièrement sa tante Lorraine Dupré , Mrs. Loula D'Jimas de Scotia (N.Y.), son oncle Gus Ducas (Vicky), ses cousines Eliana et Thanasi de Floride, le Commandant Charles Rocheleau de West Virginia, Dr. André Dupré de Montmagny (Qc), Dr. John Ducas et Dr. Diane Ducas de Winnipeg et Dr. Dean Ducas de Cornwall (On). Née et élevée à VMR, elle laisse dans le deuil de nombreux amis dans le milieu du design de meubles. Un service funèbre à sa mémoire sera célébré à l'Église St-Joseph de Mont-Royal, VMR, le samedi 6 décembre à 14 h. Les dons à la mémoire de Joanna peuventêtre adressés à la Société de la sclérose en plaques ou au Bon Dieu dans la Rue.

HOWARD nee Whittingham, Ernestine Winnifred
On the 30th of November 2003 at the Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal. Predeceased by her loving husband Albert, sisters Kathleen (late Bob Murray), Marjorie (Jim Pearmain), Adelaide and brothers Hurst (late May Wynn). Survived by sister Thelma (late Gerald McElheron), brothers Edward (late Rita McIntee) and Arthur (Monique Sauvé) and brother-in-law Jim Pearmain (Barbara). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visiation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9. Funeral Mass at St. Malachy's Church on Friday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of the Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal, for their kindness and tender care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Suddenly on November 28, 2003. Loving wife of the late Janos. Dearest aunt of Elizabeth (Tim) of California and Sandi (Emilio)os Spain. Sister-in-law of Livia Lukcas of Spain. Also survived by many friends. Complete Funeral Service from the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home Chapel, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Monday, December 1st at 11:00 am.

Suddenly at home on Friday November 28, 2003. Beloved mother of Colin J. McCorriston of Ottawa (Marianne), beloved "Granny Lila" to Jamie and Anna. Lila Redmond, dermatologist and physician, carried on her medical practice in Montreal with great passion for over fifty years, until he last day. Sincere appreciation and special thanks are extended to Claire Brouillette, Brenda Cote, Sophie Papaconstantinou, the Morgan family and Annette Lefebvre for all their care and support. A memorial service will be held at Kane & Fetterly funeral home chapel on Saturday December 6, 2003 at 3 pm. Family will receive condolences one hour prior to service. For those who wish to do so, a donation to the Montreal Children's Hospital or the Reddy Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

LEE, John Francis
Peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on November 24, 2003 aged 65 years. Loving husband of Laureen Thompson-Lee. Dear brother of Carol Lee. Uncle of William and Lynda. Brother-in-law of Kathleen Thompson-Patterson and family. A Memorial Mass. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Kevin's Church Chapel (entrance by St-Kevin St.). Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the 8th floor of St. Mary's Hospital.

HALMINEN Phyllis (nee Presley)
At the Montreal Chest Institute on December 15, 2003 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Daughter of the late Gertrude and Joseph Presley of Curran, Ontario. Predeceased by her brother John and her sisters Alice, Ilene and Ruth. Dear friend of Leonard and Allan Karasek of Boston. Funeral Service from the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home Chapel, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Friday, December 19 at 2:30 pm. Visitation two hours prior to service. GREENWALD Constance (nee Brown)
Left us on January 27th, 2004. Survived by her husband Jack Greenwald, sisters Norma Brown and Marie Gilbeau, niece Lynette and nephew Terry. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A memorial reception will be held at the Ritz Carlton, Vice-Royal Room, 2nd floor, on January 30th 2004 from 4 to 6 pm.

En sa résidence, le 27 juillet 2004, est décédé Jacques Brillant à l'âge de 79 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Louise, ses trois fils Jules (Claire), Jean (Véronique) et Stéphane (Marion) ainsi que ses sept petits-enfants. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses soeurs Madeleine (Claude) et Suzanne (Hans), son frère Aubert (Debby), sa belle-soeur Suzanne de Rimouski ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis. La famille recevra parents et amis de 15:00 hres à 18:00 hres. Remerciements spéciaux à Pauline et Lucie pour leurs bons soins. At the age of 78 at St. Mary's Hospital on August 4, 2004. Beloved father of Anastasia (Michele), Antonietta (Giovanni) and Antonio (Isabella). He will be sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Friday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 10 pm. Funeral Mass from Ste. Catherine de Sienne Church, 7070 Somerled on Saturday, August 7 at 1:00 pm, thence to Le Repos St-Francois d'Assise. DESORMEAUX Eleanor Jessie (nee Piscopo)
Passed away in Montreal on July 28, 2004 aged 74 years. Devoted and most loved mother of Diane (Andy) and Gary. Grandmother of Alessa. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Sarah, her brothers Frank (Lucille) and John (Geraldine). She will be dearly remembered by her family and many of her dear friends. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Notre Dame de Pompei Church (2875 Sauvé East) on Monday, August 2nd at 12:00 noon, thence to Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.

MORELLI, Florian (Flor)
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing, on October 13th, of Florian (Flor) at his home in Montreal surrounded by his family. He will be terribly missed by his wife Janis (Gervais), his son Julian, daughter Celia, brother Frank (Diane Charbonneau) and his nephew Didier. He leaves to mourn his in-laws Roger and Joyce Gervais, sisters-in-law Nicole (Jacques), Jo (Bernie), Karen (Bill), brother-in-law Barry (Randie), his many nephews and nieces, friends, colleagues and the numerous students he touched over the years. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Harvey Kreisman, Tara Jesion, Dr. Victor Cohen, Dr. Nathanial Sheiner, Naomi Cogan, Erin and all the nurses in the oncology clinic as well as the staff on the 7 north west at the Jewish General Hospital in helping Flor in his year long fight with cancer.
A memorial gathering will be held at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella), on Saturday, October 16th between 4 and 9 pm. Donations may be made to the Florian Morealli memorial fund for oncology (340-8251_ at the Jewish General Hospital.
