DILLMAN - On Monday, December 8th, 2003, John Dillman, late of Estevan, SK, passed away at Estevan, Saskatchewan at the age of 82 years. Prayer Service will be held Thursday, December 11th, 2003, 7:30 p.m. at Boire Funeral Home Chapel, Estevan. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 12th, 2003 from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, with Rev. Fr. L. Crozon the celebrant. Interment will follow at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxilary, Estevan, in memory of John Dillman. Arrangements are in the care of Borie Funeral Home, Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Doig, Daisy,

DOIG - Daisy Priscilla Doig of Moose Jaw passed away on December 7, 2003 at the age of 81 years after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 11, 1921 to Daisy and Phil Smith of Parkbeg where she grew up and received her education in Remount and Parkbeg districts. In 1943 she married Archie Doig and they enjoyed 58 years together. They resided in Regina until 1945 at which time they moved to the Doig family farm in the Holyrood district. In 1958 they moved to Mortlach but still farmed until 2002. During these years Daisy was a member of the Gloom Chasers, Mortlach United Church, Mortlach Seniors and Tops Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie in 2000, her parents, Daisy and Phil Smith, mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Jim Doig; brothers and sisters-in-law: Veron Bickford, David and Dorothy Doig and May Lawson. Daisy is survived by five children: Phyllis (Alvin) Wolf, Bonnie (Russel) Ward, Dan Doig, Beverly (Eugene) Cossette, Susan (Dale) Newsham; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sistersin-law: Gordon and Marg Smith, Grace Bickford and Jim Lawson. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in the W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will take place at Mortlach Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening 7-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials for the Mortlach United Church would be gratefully accepted. In living memory of Daisy, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. FIDLAR - Patricia Elizabeth, of Regina passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at the age of 77 years. She is predeceased by her father, David Gilbert and her mother, Kathleen Lyn. Beloved sister of Mary Fidlar of Regina; Wendy Cassamassima of New York and David Fidlar of Calgary; sister-inlaw of Frank Cassamassima and Lillian Fidlar, she will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She graduated from Central Collegiate as a youth. She enjoyed piano, dance, gymnastics, swimming and sports in general. In later years she enjoyed reading, music and the company of her friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 12, 2003 at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 3233 Argyle Rd., Regina, SK, with Rev. Willie Lourens officiating. BAGAN, MICHAEL - May 21, 1921-April 10, 2004. Born in Poland, Michael immigrated to Canada in 1930. He farmed at Erwood, SK., (near Hudson Bay) for many years. He served in the Canadian Army as a marksman for 4 years during WWII. Michael also worked for the Department of Agriculture for a few years and also at Kitimat for one winter. Predeceased by his parents, stepmother, first wife, 2 infant brothers and a great granddaughter, Michael is survived by his wife Mary of 46 years, son Larry; daughter Gladys (Lloyd Gerun); son Leslie (Dorthy), and grandchildren Celeste (Shjown Darwel), Michelle (Daren Roberts), Jayme and Jessica Bagan, as well as 6 great grandchildren. Service of Remembrance will be held at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Dr., on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Simpson officiating. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Regina & District Branch, 4420 Albert St., Regina, SK., S4S 6B4, or to a charity of your choice. MORCOM - Ernest (Roy) passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2004 at the age of 83. Roy is survived by Dora, his loving wife of 56 years, his son Doug (Judy), daughters Lynda Stefiuk, Diane Gerrard, and Susan (Robert) Morgan, his brother Allan, and sisters Jessie French, Alice Foster, and Nellie Ritchie; seven grandchildren, Dawn, David, Lori, DeAnna, Adam, Eric, and Jessica. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary, brothers Walter and Mark, sisters Dorothy and Eileen. Roy served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, and spent many years in Regina as a service station operator and mechanic before joining the City of Regina Water Department. During his retirement he enjoyed his garden, woodwork projects, and camping. Roy was a loving father and grandfather whose sense of fun and playfulness leaves treasured memories to those fortunate enough to grow up around him. The family sincerely thanks Dr. Newton as well as all of the staff of the DVA Ward at Wascana Hospital; Drs. Kurtz, Jarikre and Abdulhadi and the staff of Unit 4D; Dr. Klein and the staff of Palliative Care Unit 3A at the Pasqua Hospital. In honor of Roy's wishes no funeral service will be held. If friends so desire, memoriam contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada, Southern Office, 4420 Albert Street, S4S 6B4.

A private family interment will follow at a later date. SCOTT - Safe in the arms of God, Mary Elizabeth Scott (Welch) of Assiniboia was freed from her long courageous battle with cancer on April 8 at the age of 87 years. Mary was born November 28, 1916 on a farm south of Willow Bunch and attended Dutch Hollow School into her early teens. She married Alex Scott in 1938 and started their life together farming near Willow Bunch during the difficult "dirty thirties". They retired from the farm and moved into Assiniboia in 1973 where Mary worked at the Co-op cafe

ACKERMAN - Mary Katherine (Kohler) passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Formerly of Chamberlain, SK, but recently residing in Regina and Mill Bay, BC, Mary is predeceased by her husband Philip Ackerman in 1993, grandson Philip Polard, brother Peter Kohler; sisters: Agnes Huber, Susan Ackerman, Matilda (Tillie) Ackerman. She is survived by a brother William (Bill) Kohler; sons: Wilfred (Vivian), Orville (Ellie), Joseph (Arlene), Edward (Mary Lou); daughters: Eileen Batza (Garnet Harmon), Jeanette Polard (Jacques); and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren: Lori Gottselig (Colin), Lyle Ackerman, Leland Ackerman (Shelley), Bradley Batza (Carmen), Leanne Thompson (Paul), Charleen Caumanns (Nick), Loreleen La Porta (Cosimo), Jeremiah Polard; Jeffrey Ackerman (Andrea), Brent Ackerman (Monique), Philip Ackerman (Tammy), Jason Ackerman (Colleen Burke); Trevor Ackerman, Jennifer Ackerman, Christopher Ackerman; Amber Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman; great grandchildren: Ashley Gottselig, Derrick Gottselig; Baylee Batza; Jake Thompson, Ally Thompson; Katherine Caumanns, Isabelle Caumanns, Alexandra Caumanns; Matteo La Porta; Josh Ackerman; Jenna Ackerman, Devan Ackerman; Amy Evans, Kevin Evans, Justin Evans. Mary was born and raised in the Holdfast area until she married, and lived, farmed and raised her family in the Chamberlain area until retiring in 1977 in Regina. Visitation for all will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2004 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Funeral Service Mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Parish Centre, 425 Broad Street North, Regina. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Eugenia (Schafer); her husband Frederick; brothers Gordon, Alex, Wilbert (Bernice), William; sister Annie (John) Laturnas; in-laws Anne (Norbert) Rasmussen, Mike, Bill, John (Phyllis), Ed, Peter, Velma, Lillian, Ted Safford and Ralph Gibson; sons-in-law Bob Stone, Mark Dorf; great grandson Keith Stone.
