TRAUB - On Thursday, April 8, 2004 Rose Traub passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 87 years. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne (Kathy), Marvin and Colin (Val); daughter, Karen (Jim) Good; brother, Howard Boulding; sister Edith Germscheid; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Alvin; brothers, George, Maxwell, Charles, William and Albert; sisters, Annie, Estella and Ruby. Rose was born in Duncan B.C. The family then moved to Jameson, SK, where Rose grew up. In 1944 she married Alvin Traub of McLean SK and together they farmed until 1967 when they retired to town. In 1993, Rose moved to Regina, where she resided until her passing. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at McLean Cemetery, McLean, SK, with Rev. Ron Clark officiating. Paragon Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements 359-7776

BAGAN, MICHAEL - May 21, 1921-April 10, 2004. Born in Poland, Michael immigrated to Canada in 1930. He farmed at Erwood, SK., (near Hudson Bay) for many years. He served in the Canadian Army as a marksman for 4 years during WWII. Michael also worked for the Department of Agriculture for a few years and also at Kitimat for one winter. Predeceased by his parents, stepmother, first wife, 2 infant brothers and a great granddaughter, Michael is survived by his wife Mary of 46 years, son Larry; daughter Gladys (Lloyd Gerun); son Leslie (Dorthy), and grandchildren Celeste (Shjown Darwel), Michelle (Daren Roberts), Jayme and Jessica Bagan, as well as 6 great grandchildren. Service of Remembrance will be held at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Dr., on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. David Simpson officiating. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Regina & District Branch, 4420 Albert St., Regina, SK., S4S 6B4, or to a charity of your choice. Marion is survived by her loving husband Tom of Carnduff; daughter Betty (Larry) Mills of Rocanville, SK; granddaughter Sherri (Kirby) Fowler and their daughter Avery all of Regina; also grandson Neil Mills of Toronto. Formerly of Chamberlain, SK, but recently residing in Regina and Mill Bay, BC, Mary is predeceased by her husband Philip Ackerman in 1993, grandson Philip Polard, brother Peter Kohler; sisters: Agnes Huber, Susan Ackerman, Matilda (Tillie) Ackerman. She is survived by a brother William (Bill) Kohler; sons: Wilfred (Vivian), Orville (Ellie), Joseph (Arlene), Edward (Mary Lou); daughters: Eileen Batza (Garnet Harmon), Jeanette Polard (Jacques); and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren: Lori Gottselig (Colin), Lyle Ackerman, Leland Ackerman (Shelley), Bradley Batza (Carmen), Leanne Thompson (Paul), Charleen Caumanns (Nick), Loreleen La Porta (Cosimo), Jeremiah Polard; Jeffrey Ackerman (Andrea), Brent Ackerman (Monique), Philip Ackerman (Tammy), Jason Ackerman (Colleen Burke); Trevor Ackerman, Jennifer Ackerman, Christopher Ackerman; Amber Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman; great grandchildren: Ashley Gottselig, Derrick Gottselig; Baylee Batza; Jake Thompson, Ally Thompson; Katherine Caumanns, Isabelle Caumanns, Alexandra Caumanns; Matteo La Porta; Josh Ackerman; Jenna Ackerman, Devan Ackerman; Amy Evans, Kevin Evans, Justin Evans. Mary was born and raised in the Holdfast area until she married, and lived, farmed and raised her family in the Chamberlain area until retiring in 1977 in Regina. Jack had been a chartered accountant since 1956 and a long time partner in the accounting firm of ParkerQuine LLP, Yorkton. Survived by his wife Nancy, sons: Ian of Ottawa and Doug of Yorkton, a brother Mac (Rena) Ferguson of Yorkton, and niece Wendy (Mike) Maze and family. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at St. Andrew's United Church in Yorkton. POLSOM - On Sunday, August 8, 2004, Sylvia Kathleen Polsom, late of Regina, Sask, passed away at the age of 56 years. She was predeceased by her father Albert Lorencz; brother Leonard Lorencz; brothers-in-law Delbert Polsom, George Polsom, Gordon Polsom, Clarence Keil, John Jahn, Wilfred Leduc, John Whitmore, Herman Barkman and George Kehler; sisters-in-law Opal Kehler and Jean Keil. She is survived by her husband Victor William (Bill); sons Victor William, Jr. (Bonnie) and James Allen (Christina); grandchildren Shawna (James) Geisinger, Ashley, Sarah, Andrew, Cristen, Jaimie, Austin and Carly Polsom; mother Agatha Lorencz (Sam Walters); sisters Tillie (Arnie) Radons, Eleanor Lorencz (Bob), Rosemarie (Leonard) Chibi, Shirley (Ben) Popadynec, Delores Butz (Dennis), Linda (Ray) Brandt and Dorothy (Allan) Horvath; brothers George (Louise) Lorencz, Jim (Tracy) Lorencz, John (Bev) Lorencz, Ricky (Debra) Lorencz and Melvin Lorencz; sisters-in-law Doreen (John) Polowyk, Edith Jahn, Josephine (Bob) MacLean, Arnice Polsom and Roseanne Polsom; brothers-in-law Ernest (Betty) Polsom, Stan (Donna) Polsom, Wally (Sharon) Polsom and Bob (Carol) Polsom; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Carson and Ida Janes, Keith and Dorothy Hall, Jeanette Churchill, Alva Coley, Daisy West, Jo Simmons, Ruby Salter and Anne Kayter. A lifetime committed to love and concern for others ended when Sylvia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 8, 2004 at 12:08 A.M. after a battle with a particularly aggressive form of breast cancer. Sylvia was a true Christian who loved and was loved by many people. She particularly loved her grandchildren who often spent time with her at her home, or by daily telephone conversations. She had friends from the higher echelons of the community, as well as those of lesser circumstance. Sylvia began her working life at a young age as a full time babysitter. She became a waitress, then through the vision of Carson and Ida Janes, she was coached by them into becoming a secretary, office manager and bookkeeper for the Salvation Army Public Relations Department. Sylvia was the heartbeat and hub of her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bill, her sons Victor and James and their families. Sylvia was a shining example of Christ's love and compassion. She will be a bright star and welcome addition to the host of Heaven. Everybody who knew her, loved her. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. in the Salvation Army Citadel, 2012 McIntyre St., Regina, SK, with Col. Robert Chapman, officiating. Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens.
