NICHOLSON, ROBERTA - On Saturday, September 2, 2006 Roberta Nicholson passed away at the age of 73 years. Predeceased by her husband, Alistair; parents: Robert and Margaret Cameron; her sister, Margaret Ellen Harley. Roberta will be sadly missed by her two sons: Stewart (Laverne) Nicholson, Regina, SK and Kirk Nicholson, Edson, AB; daughter, Marnie (Allan) Franks, Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Duncan, Donovan, Chelesea and Charlotte; aunt Phyllis Tower, Hamilton, ON; and numerous nieces and nephews; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roberta's memory to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 8, 2006 in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. PATRON - On Saturday, September 2, 2006, Donald Peter Patron, Grenfell, Sask., died at the age of 54 years. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held in St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Grenfell, Sask., on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrei Kachur. Interment in the Grenfell Cemetery. Prayers in the church on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Predeceased by his parents, Demetrius and Mary Patron. Donald is survived by his two brothers and two sisters, Walter Patron, Regina, Sask.; and Willie Patron, Grenfell, Sask.; Marjory (Wayne) Duesterbeck, Regina, Sask.; and Angeline (John) Panio, Kuroki, Sask., as well as his nieces and nephews and cousins. If friends so desire contributions to St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Grenfell, Sask., S0G 2B0 may be tokens of remembrance

SCHATZ - Gloria Elizabeth, of Lanigan, passed away with her family at her side on September 2nd at the age of 68 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Elizabeth (Wolfe) Schlamp and brother-inlaw Norman Armbruster. Gloria will be forever loved and sadly missed by her family: LEANNE (Jason) Ulmer, Neudorf and family Braden Schatz and Layne Schatz, Yorkton; RANDY (Shelley) Schatz, Grenfell and family Levi, Benjamin, Ashley and Spencer; WESLEY (Wendy) Schatz, Lucky Lake and family Alicia, Danae, Shaelyn and Joelle; sisters, Connie Armbruster and Karen (Allan) Yule, Grenfell; numerous nieces and nephews and by members of the Schatz family. A celebration of her life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanigan on September 8th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Scott Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lanigan. Donations in Gloria's memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lanigan or Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit. PERRA, ANNE MARIE

PERRA, ANNE MARIE - Anne Perra of Wolseley passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the age of 84. Anne was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anna Wihlidal; by her husband Leo Perra; by her brothers Frank, Mike, Pete and Johnny; and, by her sisters Mary and Eva. She is survived by her daughter Audrey (Bob Loewen), Regina; her sons Lyle (Lynda St. Arnault), Kelowna, and Darcy (Lori), Wolseley; two grandsons Chans Perra, Wolseley and Chad Blenkin (Michelle), Regina; brothers: Tony, George, Karl, Eddie, Philip, Joe and sisters: Minnie, Katie, Sylvie, Valerie. A special thank you is extended to the staff and caregivers at the Wolseley Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private service and interment will be scheduled later. Friends so wishing may make donations in memoriam to St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Wolseley.

SAMUEL - Alice Malathi, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her husband James Samuel, and son-in law Prosper Fernando. She will be missed by her children Frank (Ruth) Samuel and grandson Jonathan Samuel, Hawaii, Beulah Fernando, Regina, grandson Surendra (Anita) Fernando, and faithful adopted son Mani Sebastian. She also leaves to mourn many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 19 at 1:30.p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Jim Atcheson and Lloyd Kneesch officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Nair, and the caring staff and volunteers at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. SHEPPARD - with great sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of GENE WAYNE LYNN SHEPPARD, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on Tuesday, December 13, 2005. He was predeceased by his parents Clinton and Olive and his youngest brother Laverne. Gene is survived by his devoted wife Irene; sons Keith of Toronto, ON and Ken (Marguerite) of Regina, SK; special granddaughters Kristen (Jeremy) and Jenna; brothers Malcolm (Fae) of Saskatoon, SK and Lowell (Judy) of Medicine Hat, AB as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Gene retired in 1998 from the Department of Veteran Affairs after 40 years spent in service to veterans and their families. In retirement Gene enjoyed doing challenging jig saw puzzles and collecting miniature farm equipment. Most evenings from April to October if the Toronto Blue Jays were playing you could find Gene glued to the television. During football season Gene avidly followed the Saskatchewan Roughriders and enjoyed their televised games. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to emergency staff at the Pasqua Hospital, the staff of unit 3-B as well as Dr. Abdalla Muftah, Dr. H. A. Mohamed and Dr. W. Lok. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar St., Regina, SK at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2005 in St. George Orthodox Cathedral at 10:00 AM with Fr. Cosmin Sicoe Officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined however donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, SK S4R 1A6 or St. George Church Memorial Fund, 2005 Edgar St. Regina, SK S4N 3K5.

WOODROFFE, FRANCES HETHERINGTON (HEATHER) - Of Irvine, California, beloved sister of Gladys Huget of Regina passed away Sunday, December 11, 2005. A private burial will take place in Montreal. A memorial celebration of Heather's life will be held in Irvine, CA at a later date to be determined, in January, 2006.

An interment of Vic's ashes will occur at a future date. Vic was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Annie Young. He is survived by his wife Kay, his brother Robert (Eleanor) Young, his sons John (Karen) Young and Greg (Mary) Young, as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. FREY, CATHERINE ROSE CATHY/ KATIE - passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005 after a brief illness at the age of 92 years. Catherine was predeceased by her parents Anna and Albert Ecker; six brothers; four sisters; daughter Dolores; grandson Patrick and great grandson Michael. Left to cherish her memory is her sons Irwin, Allan (Liane), Fred (Marlene); eight grandsons: David, Donald, Wayne, Bobby, Don, Danny, Jim, Jerry; eleven granddaughters: Heather, Brenda, Glenda, Wendy, Gwen, Sherry, Debbie, Marie, Susan, Jeannette, Michelle and their significant others. She also leaves to mourn 37 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother-in-law Albert Duchesne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Catherine was born September 10, 1913 to Albert and Anna Ecker, one of the first homesteading families in Humbold, SK. There she met her husband Oscar, and together they settled in Pilot Butte, SK, where she resided until her passing. Catherine worked at Coop Creamery for many years, but her true passion was found in nature. Until recently, she was often found in her garden, house and greenhouse tending to her vegetables, plants, flowers and special canary Tweety. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, arts and crafts and upon retirement in 1978 her favourite pastimes included bowling, playing cards and spending time out at the Sunset Club which she helped co-found. A short time ago when Catherine was asked, What in your 92 years has amazed you the most? She replied, It is all amazing! Catherine, in your time here with us, you were amazing. We will all miss your uncanny wit, strength, courage and determination; but most of all we will miss your love. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Balgonie, SK on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Humboldt, SK. Hood, John,

HOOD - John McGillivray Hood passed away peacefully in the Pasqua Hospital at 95 years young with family by his side. John was born in Scotland on March 1, 1909 to Gordon and Margaret Hood. At age 6 John and his parents came to Canada and lived in the Minnihaha area in Saskatchewan where they farmed for a number of years. John served with the Saskatoon Infantry in the 1939 war in Europe where he fought unharmed and found his beautiful English war bride, Irene. Together John and Irene were married for 51 years and resided in Regina. John worked a number of years on the railroad until retirement when he then went to work as a custodian at the YMCA. John is survived by his three sisters, Catherine Day, Marguerite Tuer, Jessie Bergeron and his "special" daughter, Diane Neale, who touched his heart in so many ways. John is predeceased by his wife, Irene in 2000. John was an open honest man who we all felt the pleasure to be around. In the manor where he lived John had many special friends who will miss him dearly. A special thank you to Lorraine Twardy for all of the Sunday drives and sharing food together and to Elaine Hopfrier for all the great visits. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from 7:00 9:00 p.m. A celebration of John's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2nd, 2004 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Don Wells officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Royal Canadian Legion War Memorial Trust Fund, 1820 Cornwall Street, Regina or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3. Keller, Michael,

KELLER - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Keller on Friday, November 26, 2004, in Mission, B.C. at the age of 46 years. Michael was predeceased by his father Lambert Keller in 1964; grandparents John and Magdalena Fink in 1979 and step-father Peter Fisher in 1998. He is survived by Darla, his life long companion, soulmate and best friend; mother Mary Fisher; sister Marian (Don) Blondeau; brother Kenneth Keller of Calgary; son Shawn; grandson Donavon; Darla's mother, father, sisters and brother and step-brother Rick Fisher and his sisters Adeline DeDecker, Jeri Vertefuelle and Diane Bodnaruck. Michael was born in Craik, SK in 1958. He began his formal education at Sacred Heart School in Regina ending up at Miller High School. He spent most of his adult life in the construction business, working in Alberta and British Columbia. Generosity was one of his attributes and he was always ready to help anyone in need. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK with Rev. Leonard Albers, officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Vibank, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
