BIEGLER - Mr. Anthony "Tony" B. Biegler of Moose Jaw passed away on Friday, September 26, 1997 at the age of 72 years. Tony is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons: Bruce (Myrna) - Toronto and their children: Angie and Anthony, Christopher - California and mother-in-law, Josephine Beltramini - Moose Jaw. Following cremation at Prairie Memorial Crematorium, A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1997 AT 1:30PM AT W.J. JONES & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL. Reverend Ruth Taylor will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials for the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High St. W., Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 1S8 or to a charity of choice would be appreciated. ELLIOTT - WILFRID LORNE, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 3, 1997, the result of an aneurysm at age 81. Predeceased by parents Albert and Annie Elliott, survived by wife of 56 years, Isabel A. Elliott, two sons, Blake W. (Darlene), Edmonton, Clifford L. (Karen), Lumsden, Saskatchewan, granddaughters Chelsea (Kevin) Robbie, Edmonton, and Heather Elliott, grandson Devton Elliott, Saskatoon. Wilf was born on a farm at Axford, near Yellowgrass, SK. He attended school at Reynoldton School, taking his exams at Lumsden. He continued farming at Lumsden and later at Brora, SK., and then at Stony Beach, SK. He was interested in purebred cattle and raised Shorthorns - showing bulls at Regina and Saskatoon. He was a member of the Sask. Shorthorn Association and Canadian Cattle Breeders, making many friends in the business. He was leader of Stony Beach 4H Beef Club for nine years. He was on the school board for the Broadway S.D. in Stony Beach and was an elder of the Stony Beach United Church, assisting in the relocation of the church to the village of Stony Beach. Wilf operated and subsequently advised on operation of the Kalium land at Belle Plaine, Sask. from 1964 until the present. Wilf and Isabel have spent the last 15 winters in Mesa, AZ., enjoying the warm weather and lack of snow and ice. GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 1997, at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. John T. Bray officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the Regina Funeral Home where the Service will commence. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to St. Andrew's United Church, Pense, SK., care of Mrs. Phyllis Alexander, Pense, SK, S0G 3W0. Arrangements are in care of REGINA FUNERAL HOME (Phone 789-8850).

GALL - Robert (Bob) Joseph Gall, late of Regina, Sask., passed away suddenly at the age of 48 years. Funeral Service details will appear in a future edition.

HILL - Rose C. born March 18, 1930, a long time resident of Regina, SK and recently moved to Kelowna, BC. She left us quickly and tragically in a car accident October 2, 1997. She was very much loved by all. Survived by her loving husband Darl and daughter Norma Jean. She leaves behind sisters Margaret, Clare, Katherine, Isabelle and Irene and brother Delbert. Rose was a dedicated employee of the Sask. Wheat Pool for over 30 years. Always one to do for others, she was actively involved with neighbours and friends and always made time to help those in need.
Mom - I thank you for your undying love, your support, encouragement and friendship, but most of all I thank you for being my mother.

A Memorial Service to be held and announced at a later date. Flowers graciously declined.

KATCHUCK - Raymond, late of Southey, Sask., passed away on Sunday, October 5, 1997 at the age of 74 years. Raymond was predeceased by his father, Steve in 1966; his mother, Marie in 1973; brother, Julius in 1946; sister, Evelyn in 1988 and brother, Elmer in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frieda; one son, Garvin (Irene); two daughters, Lillian (Ken) and Connie (Doug); five grandchildren, Pamela, Colin, Jesse, Shelby and Taylor; three sisters, Delilah Runyon of Regina, Luella (John) Fraser of Galt, Ontario, Marjorie (George) Wagner of Southey. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. in the North Southey Lutheran Church with Pastor F. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the North Southey Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Unser-Rist Funeral Home Services. (761-2727)

LANGLOIS - Mr. Robert "Bob" Joseph Langlois of Moose Jaw passed away Saturday, October 4, 1997 at the age of 68 years. Born in Willow Bunch, January 24, 1929, Bob attended school in Willow Bunch and worked as a Carpenter with his father. In 1950, he married Solange Therrien, they would go on to have 6 children. They took over the Willow Bunch Telephone Office in 1951, moving to Moose Jaw in 1960 where he ran his own Construction Business for a time. He continued to work as a Carpenter until his retirement. For many years he was lovingly cared for by his sister and brother-in-law, Vic and Germaine Rondeau. During the later stages of his illness, he was kept in their home where he died peacefully. Predeceased by his father, Adelard and mother, Florence; his wife, Solange; brothers: Ernest and Guilbert; and a sister, Valerie. Bob is survived by six children: Lorette - Moose Jaw, Danny (Jackie) - Moose Jaw, Paul - Moose Jaw, Mike (Kim) - Victoria, Larry - Moose Jaw, Claude - Lethbridge; brothers: Maurice (Armande) - Pontiex, Dick - Calgary, John (Denise) - London, Ont., George (Cecile) Orleans, Ont.; sisters: Jeanette Savoie - Regina, Germaine (Vic) Rondeau - Moose Jaw, Georgette Rose - St. Thomas; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Following cremation at Prairie Memorial Crematorium, A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1997 AT 3:30 PM AT W.J. JONES & SON CHAPEL, 106 ATHABASCA ST. E., MOOSE JAW. LEESON (nee BROOKS) MARGET RUTH - On Sunday, September 28th, 1997, Marget Ruth Leeson of Edmonton, Alberta Born August 15th, 1908, Craik, Saskatchewan, passed away at the age of 89 years. Marget is survived by her husband, Wallace of Edmonton; four sons: Delmar (Barb) of Vancouver, Glen (Inez) and Ron both of Regina and Cam of Edmonton; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Perry of Edmonton and one sister, Gladys of Estevan. Funeral Service was held on October 3rd, 1997, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, Edmonton, Alberta.

MULVENNA - MR. JOHN MULVENNA, formerly of Cabri, passed away on Monday, October 6, 1997 at the age of 91. John is survived by his wife Molly, his children: Joy (Harry) Chong; Jeanne (Len) Renwick; John (Pat) Mulvenna; Donna Mulvenna; Rick (Phyllis) Mulvenna and Sandy (Jim) Caffrey; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Sadie Lindsey; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. John will be remembered for his love of the land, the freedom of flying, his involvement in his community and his commitment to true principles of honesty and courtesy. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Pioneer Village, 430 Pioneer Drive, on Friday, October 10, 1997 at 10:30 p.m. with Rev. M. Hogan, officiating. Reception will immediately follow at Pioneer Village. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Regina Pioneer Village, 430 Pioneer Drive, Regina, SK, S4T 6L8. NYGREN - Annie Marie (Mary) of Royston, B.C., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 5th, 1997 at age 64. She is survived by her loving husband Lyle and her family, daughter Kathleen (Robert) Smith and son Robert (Annie) Nygren, both of Courtenay, B.C. daughters Shawn Nygren of Vancouver, Dawn (Jim) Estlin and Vanessa (John) Schreurs, both of Courtenay; grandchildren Melissa, Jessica, Marie, Lyle, Jordan, Katie-Lee and Samantha; great-grandchildren Skylar and Kalem; her sisters Phillipine, Lena, Frances, Kathy and Annie and brothers Roy and Frank. Mary was predeceased by her son Michael Edward Nygren in 1976. She loved nature and could often be found working among the flowers in her garden watching the wide variety of birds that would visit. Her other passion was the precious time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private family visitation will be held from the chapel of Comox Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, B.C. on Thursday, October 9th, followed by interment at 11am on Friday, October 10th in Cumberland Municipal Cemetery. PAUL - On Sunday, October 5, 1997, MRS. HELEN VIOLET PAUL, beloved wife of George, passed away at the age of 61 years. Predeceased by her father, James Pirsak and twin grandsons, Christopher and Charles. Helen will be sadly missed by her husband George of 42 years; daughter Gail (Larry) Smith; son Kelly (Roxanne); four grandchildren: Kristal, Breanna, Michael, and Megan all of Regina. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Pirsak; sister Marion (Tony) Chobot and brother Jim (Muriel) Pirsak as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy#1 East, on Thursday, October 9, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with Brad Fahlman, officiating. Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following the service, refreshments will be served in the Regina Funeral Home - Arbor Room.
