Jeffrey James Rempel
April 5, 1972 – February 19, 2016

Jeffrey Rempel, age 43 years of Osler SK, passed away on February 19, 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Frieda Rempel; sisters, Christine (Bruce) Peters and their sons – Joshua and Ross; Karen (Al) Hargrove; Sharleen (Dave) McDonald and their daughter Jada.
He was predeceased by his father Jim Rempel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the Osler Mennonite Church, Osler, SK.
Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK (306-232-5245).

Carla Michele Durocher Thomas

Gertrude Heppner
November 10, 1926 – February 15, 2016

The death of Gertrude Heppner, age 89 years formerly of Waldheim, SK occurred on February 15, 2016 at the Mennonite Nursing Home, Rosthern, SK.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home Auditorium with Pastor Ben Pauls officiating.
Private burial for family only will take place before the Memorial Service.
Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

Anita Teichrob
November 18, 1944 – February 7, 2016

The death of Anita Teichrob (nee Smith), age 71 years, occurred on February 7, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon.
Anita suffered for more than 30 years with Lupus, Schleroderma, Raynaud’s Syndrome and the many side effects that developed including Cirrhosis of the Liver, failing kidneys, many bowel obstructions and many painful trips to the emergency room.
More than anyone should have had to endure.
She never left the house unless she was dressed up and had her hair done.
It was because of her appearance that most people couldn’t see how sick and damaged her body was.
For the most part she suffered silently in pain.
In the end Anita passed away from Pneumonia and Respiratory failure.
She is survived by her daughters: Charlene Teichrob, Rosthern, SK; Raylene (John) Neurauter, Medicine Hat, AB; their children Michael and Melissa; Gaylene (David) Pilon, Saskatoon, SK, their children Taylor (Kevin) and Spencer (Mary); her brothers and sisters Ovila (Ruth) Smith, Mary Gagnon, Marie-Ange Markowski, Phylis LeComte, Ray (Joylene) Smith, Franklin (Marlene) Smith, Darrel Smith, Diane Stangby, Ben (Debbie) Smith, Jeff (Carol) Smith, Monica Ethier (Terry Pugh), Gayle (Jean) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anita was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Teichrob; parents Theophile and Lillian Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law Evelyn (Marius) Piche, Lou Gagnon, Julian LeComte, Sally Smith, and Allen Stangby.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Phinh Do on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Duck Lake, SK.
Interment of her ashes will take place in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Cemetery, Duck Lake, SK.
Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.

Robert A. Doell
February 13, 1944 – February 4, 2016

The death of Robert Doell, age 71 years, occurred on February 4, 2016 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Doell; son, Quintin Doell; daughter SheaLynn (Marty) Carriere; granddaughter Emelia; step mother Elizabeth Doell; brother Ken (Esther) Doell and family; special mention of Norman (Sandy) Doell; Elmer (Charlene) Doell and their families.
He was predeceased by his father Peter J. Doell.
A Public Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at Hague Mennonite Church, Hague, SK conducted by Duane Neudorf.
Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

BAUM - (Greenley) Dorothy Clara, age 73, of Swift Current, SK passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current. She is survived by daughters: Gwen (Jeff) Litton of Hudson Bay, SK, Laurie Baum of Swift Current, and Dixie Baum of Calgary, AB; grandson, Ty Litton; brothers, Bob (Jean) Greenley of Swift Current, and Bill (Margaret) Greenley of Prince George; sisters: Hazel Calnan of Belleville, ON, Marie Smith of London, ON, and Alice Phaneuf of Swift Current; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Wilmer (Willy) Baum in 1993; her parents, William and Clara Greenley; brother, Norman Greenley; and her sister, Ida Allen. Dorothy was born July 31, 1933 in Braddock, SK. She went to school first in Bigford and later in Wymark. Dorothy moved to Swift Current where she took a secretarial course. She worked at Eaton’s mail order office and Motor License office. On March 22, 1958 she married Willy Baum. They lived in Swift Current for a short time before buying a small farm east of the city and beginning a family. Several years later, after the family returned to Swift Current, Dorothy worked for the Sun as a typist. After the girls grew up, she worked in the hospital, first in the laundry and then in housekeeping. Following her retirement in 1997 she spent her free time visiting her family and traveling. She will long be missed. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of the Open Bible with Pastor Rob Cochrane officiating. The organist was Barb Mirau with a solo sang by Emilee Mirau. The pallbearers were: Ron Phaneuf, Wayne Sabine, Michael Sabine, Barry Bradley, Ian Bradley and Jim Parsons. The ushers were, Howard Heard and Robert Klassen. A tribute was given by daughter Dixie Baum. The interment took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation in memory of Dorothy.

NEUFELD - Mrs. Elizabeth, aged 93 years, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 7, 2006 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, after a short illness with her heart. Elizabeth is survived by one sister, Mary Dueck, and numerous nieces and nephews, and their families. Elizabeth was predeceased by her sister, Katherine Berg, of Swift Current, and a brother, Jake Berg, of Kelowna, B.C. She was born on July 23, 1913 at Blumenort, Ukraine. She lived in Jasebeck, West Germany and in 1948 she immigrated to Canada. She enjoyed having coffee and goodies with friends. She was famous for her jam-jams. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Bridgeway Community Church with Pastor Ben Kramer officiating. The interment was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon’s International.
