Chambers -- Margaret Jeanette May 13, 1920 - October 22, 2004
Margaret Jeanette Chambers passed away peacefully at the Drumheller Hospital on October 22, 2004 at the age of 84 years. She was born on May 13, 1920 in Drumheller and lived her whole life in Verdant Valley, Drumheller and Morrin districts.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1988. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons and two daughters -- Mick (Margaret) of Morrin, Jeanette Sutherland (Jim) of Altanta Georgia, Carol Kashuba (Stephen) of Rumsey, Bob (Cathy) of Morrin and Dennis (Debbie) of San Diego, California. She was dearly loved by her 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Diprose (Bob) of Stettler, Alberta, one brother Dean Wallace (Lois) of Vancouver, BC and in-laws Dorothy Hetherington of Munson, Evelyn Hampton of Red Deer, Phyllis Dolezsar of Langley, BC, Dolline Good of Calgary and Darrel Chambers (Rose) of Duncan BC and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Morrin Community Hall at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2004. If so desired, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Sunshine Lodge. Courtney-Winterıs Funeral Chapel entrusted with the arrangements. 403-823-2666.
Dufloth -- Barbara March 1, 1917 - October 23, 2004
With great sadness we share the loss of our mother. Barbara Dufloth daughter of the late Henry and Rosina Holwegner, was born in Etzikom, Alberta. March 1, 1917. She passed away peacefully with her family and Pastor Plant at her side October 23, 2004, 12:30 am in the Drumheller Regional Health Complex.
Mother was predeceased by her husband Ted Dufloth and her daughter Violet Wattenbarger. In loving memory she will be missed by three sons and one daughter. Also to mourn her memory are her friends at the Pioneer Centre where she was active in their bowling league. Always with a positive outlook no matter what the score. Her talent for making everyone feel they were special will forever be missed by her many friends and especially her family. We love you Mom. Hansen -- Gordon C April 1, 1925 - November 7, 2004
Gordon Hansen passed away peacefully in the Drumheller Hospital on November 7, 2004 with all his family by his side. He was born in Long Beach, California on April 1, 1925 and is survived by Lil, his loving wife of 58 years and one day, daughter Diane (Larry) Graham, son, Wayne (Rose) Hansen, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Vonnie Danyluk and Marilyn Parker and one brother Mel (Pearl) Hansen. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Sheila, in 1951 and by his parents Thorvald and Christine. Gordon joined the Canadian Navy in 1944 and proudly served our nation until 1946. Later that year, honeymoon travels took him and his bride to California where he worked for two years before returning to Canada. Gordon and Lil farmed in the Munson district until their retirement to Drumheller in 1987. A memorial service will be held at the Munson Community Hall, Thursday, November 11th at 2:00 p.m. in lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial tributes can be made to STARS or the charity of their choice.
Bigelow -- Mrs. Catherine (Kay) 1910 - 2004
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Catherine Clark (Kay) Bigelow on November 8, 2004 at the Continuing Care Facility in Drumheller.
Kay was born June 2, 1910 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jesse Carswell Bigelow, on February 1, 1974, and son Donald on February 2, 1987. Kay's passing is mourned by her children Noreen (John) McKenzie of Drumheller, Sheila Moore of White Rock, B.C., David Bigelow of Abbotsford, and daughter-in-law Shirley Fordice of Wetaskiwin, AB; seven grandchildren, Stacey (Myles) Klimek, Alison (Mark) McKenzie-Cornwall, Fiona McKenzie and Garnet Olson, Christopher Moore, Colin (Joanne) Bigelow, Kendra (Ben) Darwin and Kerry Bigelow; five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Grayson, Liam, Logan and Emily. Kay is also survived by a sister Jean and brother Alan in Scotland, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Mother gave freely and generously of herself to every community she and Jesse lived in through her great love of music, dance, theatre, books, golf, curling, politics and church. Kay will be always remembered and forever loved. At Mother's request, a private family committal service will take place at the Drumheller Municipal Cemetery on November 20, 2004 where Kay will be laid to rest with her husband, Jesse.

Dickson -- Ronald (Ron) Graham 1919 - 2004
Ronald (Ron) Graham Dickson passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2004 in Calgary, AB at the age of 85 years. Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Jean Dickson; his sons, Gary (Arlene), and Bruce (Gisele); and his precious grandchildren, Lynn, Jennifer, Michael and Stephanie. He is also survived by his brothers, Douglas and Russell (Shirley). Ron was predeceased by his parents, David Burns Dickson and Johannah Dickson; and by his sisters, Jean Dickson and Joyce Tetachuk. Ron was born in Didsbury, AB on September 18, 1919. His adolescence was spent on the family farm near Alhambra, AB and then in Lake Louise, AB, Portland, OR, and Vancouver, B.C.
He started pre-med at the University of British Columbia, but then enlisted at the commencement of WWII. After one year in the Army, he transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force where he became a Flying Officer. He served as a flight instructor in the Commonwealth Air Training Program at High River, AB, Claresholm, AB and Yorkton, SK. At the end of the war, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and entered the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta. He graduated in 1952. At that time he moved with his young family to Drumheller, AB where he practiced dentistry for the next 27 years. He and Jean moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1979 and he practiced dentistry there until approximately 1995. He was enrolled as a Fellow of the International
College of Dentists.
Ron served as Chairman of the Board of Drumheller Valley School Division #62, President of Kinsmen and K-40 clubs. He was a member of the Board of Stewards of Knox United Church. Ron taught Sunday School and served as a Boy Scout leader. He was also a member of the Senate of the University of Calgary. Ron loved dentistry and contributed to his profession in numerous ways. He served as President of the Alberta Dental Association, as a member of the Board of the Canadian Dental Association and as President of the Alberta Dental Service Corp. Ron was a pioneer in the use of hypnosis in dentistry in Alberta. He trained and mentored countless young dental graduates, dental hygienists and dental assistants. Ron taught dental assistant students at Camosun College in Victoria.
He had a wonderful sense of humour. This was evident even during the later stages of his illness. He had an abiding affection for children. He was a gifted storyteller.

Williams -- Violet Robson June 19, 1920 - November 10, 2004
Violet Williams (nee Armstrong) passed away in the Drumheller Hospital at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving family, son Terry Williams (Jacquie; daughter Heather Lapham (Bill); and grandchildren, Amber, Jodi, Rob, Sabrina and Danielle; her brother Tom Armstrong (Kay); her sisters Isa Grenier and Ruby Moskie; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1985, her son Jack in 1965, step-daughter Barbara in 1985, and her sister Meg who resided in Scotland.
Violet was born near Strathmore and was raised on the Pope Lease near Drumheller. She married Alex in 1954 and they lived and raised their family in Drumheller. Violet worked for many years at the Drumheller Hospital taking time off to raise her family and then returning to the hospital to work. Violet cherished her grandchildren and became Grandma Vi to many of the neighbourhood children as well. Her home baked chocolate chip cookies were a favourite of all the "grandchildren." Her favourite place to be was outdoors working in her flower beds. She will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of all her family.

Kralik -- Margaret Elizabeth 1929 - 2004
On November 3, 2004 Margaret passed away gracefully at the age of 75 years. Margaret was born and raised in Newcastle (Drumheller), Alberta. She attended school in Drumheller and following graduation she attended Business College in Calgary. She worked as a stenographer at various places including the Drumheller Hospital, the Midland Coalmine, the Treasury Branch, and the Bank of Montreal. She married Cy of Drumheller in 1951. Together they eventually moved to Penticton, B.C. where they owned and operated a small motel, and had their only child, Shelley. After 15 years they returned to Drumheller where they purchased their farm. While Cy farmed, Margaret became well known as one of the secretaries at the high school, where she worked until she retired. She found immense joy in being with her family and grandchildren, and golfing with her friends. Margaret was predeceased by her father, Julius Kulsar in 1956; step-father Louis Toth in 2003, and mother Mary Toth in 2004. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her husband Cy of Drumheller; daughter Shelley (Danny) and grandchildren Meghan and Danielle of Drumheller; brother Chester (Nellie) of Calgary; and nieces and nephews Glen, Edward (Mary-Anne); Janice (Grant); Clarice (Darren) of Calgary; and many other friends and relatives that were in her heart. Margaret was deeply touched and appreciative of the support of her family and friends during her last few weeks. Margaret's wishes were to have a private family funeral which will be held November 10. Donations are gratefully accepted to the Drumheller Health Centre or the charity of one's choice. Nevard -- Ginette
Mrs. Ginette Nevard, late of Glenevis, passed away on November 4, 2004, at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 12 years, Ron Nevard; 3 children, Mary-Anne Kerr of Drumheller, Jamie Nevard of Winnipeg, MB, and Ginger Kerr of North Bay, ON; her grandchildren James Garson, Daylon Kerr, Alissa Garson, and Carrie-Ann Garson; her father, Rene Guay of Quebec; 6 sisters Lyne (Rudy Fantinato), Danielle (Gilbert Lasalle), Renee, Sylvie, Suzanne, and Nancy (Daren Hanson) with many nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Ginette is predeceased by her mother, CIaudette; and 2 brothers, Gilles and Sylvain. Funeral Service for Ginette was held on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Barrhead, with Bishop David Richardson officiating.
