Memorial (10/28/2000)
BRANOFF In loving memory of my dear brother Petso Branoff, who lost his life at the age of 24 in a brutal civil war in Greece in 1949. In loving memory of my dear grandparents Dedo Petco and Baba Petra, who passed in 1951 and 1952. In loving memory of my dear mother Ordana Branoff who passed away in 1964. In loving memory of my dear father Chris Branoff, who passed away October 29, 1965. In loving memory of my dear uncle Kostaden, who passed away in 1966. In loving memory of my dear uncle Semeon, who passed away in 1985. My dear family: Fifty-five years ago there were all of us together, like a flock of birds in our cozy nest in the village of Buff, in the Northern Part of Greece in Macedonia. We struggle war and poverty, and we shared lots of love and respect for one another. When the bad days came in 1947 we spread our wings and flew different ways. Looking for survival, unfortunately not every one of us was lucky. I treasure all my good memories and that is what has helped me stay alive for all these years. I still shed tears, able to wipe my tears, unable to heal the pain and sorrow in my heart. We are no longer together and in my mind and heart we will be forever. --Sadly missed by a sister, a daughter, grand daughter and niece Mary Branoff Defrain.
