Hart, Doreen Margette – Peacefully at her residence in Barrie, on Tuesday, January 6th, 2004. Doreen Hart in her 87th year, beloved wife of Joseph Hart. Dear mother of Joan Briggs of Barrie, Wayne Desjardins and his wife Evelyn of Oshawa, Murray Desjardins and his wife Shelley of Calgary, and Madeline Desjardins of Toronto. Loving grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Clifford Brown and his wife Wilma of Perth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Clapperton and Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, January 10th from 2:00pm until time of service on Saturday at 3:00pm. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Red Cross Home Care.

HAYWOOD (JACKSON) - After a courageous battle with cancer, at Palliative Care and St. Joseph's Hospice, on December 20, 2003, GLADYS VIOLET JEANETTE HAYWOOD (JACKSON), age 68, of Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Haywood and the late Robert Ernest Jackson. Loving mother of Debbie Jones & Mike, Mike Jackson, Robert Jackson & wife Susan, Susan Butler, Denise Balint, Mary White & Mike Maness, Linda Jackson & Donat Leman, all of Sarnia. Dear daughter of Minna Dubreuil and the late Ernest Dubreuil, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of 20 and great- grandmother of 7. Sister of Donald Dubreuil, Sarnia and Alice Marsh and husband Maurice, Sarnia. A memorial visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia. A memorial service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24th, in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel followed by interment at Lakeview cemetery. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Bluewater Health Foundation, Palliative Care, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3

HILL, Helen Elizabeth (nee: Dennie) (Past Member of the CWL, Our Lady Peace Church, Capreol, Ont. and Daughters of Isabella) -.at Grove Park Home, Barrie on Wednesday, December 24, 2003, in her 92nd year. Helen Hill, of Barrie, formerly of Capreol, beloved wife of the late Tom Hill. Loving mother of George Henry and his wife Carolyn of Barrie, Denise MacKinnon and husband Roland of Capreol, and stepmother of David Hill of Toronto, and Phyliss Hill of Orillia. Dear sister of Cecil Dennie of Orillia, Hazel Bean of Mattawa, Evelyn Clearey of Barrie, and the late Victoria, Clifford, Maxwell, Joseph, and Alexander. Grandmother of Rolanda, Peter John, Laurine and great grandmother of Christine, Lyndsay, Hailey and Jessy. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, friends and relatives will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia, on Tuesday morning, January 6th at 10 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

Holmes: Laverne June Peacefully, with her family at her side, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, December 29, 2003. Laverne Holmes (nee Redfern) of Owen Sound in her 82nd year. Wife of the late Al Holmes. Beloved mother of Bill and his wife Nancy of London, Marylin and her husband Ted of Wiarton, Paul and his wife Andrea and Peter and his wife Leanne all of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also survived by four sisters Iris of Owen Sound, Lois and her husband Lloyd of Bayfield, Jean and her husband Bill of Lion’s Head and Marie of Wetaskiwan, Alberta and one brother Ted and his wife Tressa of Southampton and sisters in law Betty of Pembroke and Shirley and her husband Jack of Owen Sound. Predeceased by a brother Clarence “Son” Redfern. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Thursday from 2 – 4 p.m. (afternoon only) and on Friday from 10 – 11 a.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Doctor Brad Clark officiating. Spring interment, Mount Pleasant cemetery , Georgian Bluffs. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

HOVING, John passed away suddenly at Mississauga as the result of an accisent on Monday October 6th, 2003. John Hoving of Barrie in his 42nd year. Beloved husband and best friend to Catherine Fletcher. Loving dad to Sheena and Neil. Cherished son of Marcus and Jean Hoving. Brother of Harry (Elaine Money), Susanne Visser (Sam), Bas (Diane), George (Joanne), Bill (Grace), Jane Jansma (Harry), Liz Allen (Michael), Mike (Tammy) and former brother–in-law to Glenda Hoving. Son-in-law of Angus and Edith Fletcher of Baxter, brother-in-law of Mary Harris (Ron), James Fletcher (Sharon) and the late Margaret Fletcher. His 27 nieces and nephews will dearly miss him. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home (Minet’s Point at Yonge Street ) Barrie from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Burton Avenue United Church, 37 Burton Avenue, Barrie on Saturday October 11th, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Beloved husband of Phyllis Hutchinson (nee Lester) and the late Lillian Hutchinson (nee Darough). Loved father of Heather Hutchinson of Hillsdale, Lawrence Hutchinson (Sharon) of Kincardine, Jacqueline Hutchinson and Catherine Curtis (Greg) all of Calgary, Michael Hutchinson of Invermere, B.C., and Margaret Hutchinson of Toronto. Loving Grandfather of Kevin Hutchinson, Ky Patterson, Graham Curtis, Andi, McKenna and Joshua Hutchinson. Dear brother of Jean Jones (Paul) of Pennsyvania and the late Marion Crawford, Pearl Sansom, Harold, Murray, Hugh, Albert and Archie Hutchinson. He will be greatly missed by his many relatives and friends. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home, Clapperton and Worsley Streets, Barrie on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Monday December 29th, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment at Knox cemetery , Oro. Also loved by his grandchildren Janice Borden & husband Dennis, Jannette Kollhosser, Michael Kollhosser & Cindy Glover, Stephen Kollhosser & wife Michelle, Dane Raybould, Mylo Henry, Sean Mosher and great grandchildren Andrea & Blair Borden. Survived by his sister Eileen Schmidt of Scarborough and his many neices, nephews, relatives and close friends. The late Mr. Gerald Jones will rest at the Orillia Presbyterian Church (St.Andrew's), 99 Peter St.,N., from 1 P.M. until time of funeral service Wednesday afternoon, November 5th at 3 P.M.. Cherished mother of Stan Karnas & his wife Lorrine, Chatham, Bill Karnas & his wife Linda, Blenheim, and Joseph Karnas & his wife Anne, Pt. Edward. Dear grandma of Heather & husband Jim Sinclaire, Scott Karnas & wife Heather, Diane & husband Aaron Verstraete, Todd Karnas, Kim Karnas, Glenn Karnas, Joel Karnas. Great-grandma of Steven, Spencer, Owen, Hailey, and Olivia. Stefania was born Poland, and came to Canada in 1949 with her family. She was an active member in the Polish Alliance of Canada, the Queen of Peace Church Catholic Women’s League, a long time member of Queen of Peace Church of Sarnia, and a past member Our Lady of Victory Church of Chatham. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, Friday 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Rosedale at Ellwood). Private interment St. Anthony’s cemetery , Chatham on Monday, December 15, 2003.
