Peacefully at home on Wednesday December 3, 2003 in his 80th year. Jim of Creemore, beloved husband of the late Patricia (2000). Loving father of Marlene Mackay-Vause, James and his wife Julie, David and his wife Inara, Lori Mackay and the late Karen Mackay. Dear grandfather of Rhonda, Allison and Ilona. Survived by his brother Robert and his wife Bernice, sisters Kay and her husband Robert Kitchen and Margaret Kurtz and by his sister-in-law Joyce Mackay. Predeceased by his brother Arthur. James was an active veteran of WWII with the Grenadier Guard serving in the Holland, France, Belgium and Germany theatres. He also served as a Constable with the Metropolitan Toronto Police before fulfilling is dream of being a full time farmer.

CHAPMAN, CATHERINE (nee O'Connor)
passed away peacefully Saturday January 31, 2004 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood with her family by her side, following a very gallant and lengthy battle with cancer. Cathy in her 79th year was born in County Cork, Ireland November 19, 1925. Wife of Ernest Chapman. Cherished and devoted mother of Bart and his wife Brenda and Teresa and her husband Murray Culham. Dearest grandmother of Sean, Emily and Meghan Culham, Tyler, Hailey, Shaelene and Brieann Chapman. Cathy's great faith and courage was a blessing to her and her loved ones through her troubled time and was ever so grateful for the prayers and encouragement received from family and friends. Cathy is survived by sisters Nel, Mary, Hanna, Margarette and Moreen and brother Dan all of Ireland. Predeceased by brothers Charles and Michael. Cathy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by sisters-in-law Anah, Josie, Margery, Shirley and Eva and many nieces, nephews as well as close friends.
