Bernice Rebillard

Peacefully, at Riverview Health Centre, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Bernice Rebillard (nee Pouteau) passed away at age 69 on May 14, 2005.

Bernice was predeceased by husband Richard in 1986, also having suffered the loss of sister Enid in 1972, mother Clara in 1977, father Theophile in 1983, grandson Andrew in 1999 (Glenn's first son), and brother-in-law Gerald in 2004 (Richard's eldest brother). Left to mourn are many children and grandchildren, including eldest son Richard and his son Derek, second son Darren and his son Brendon, only daughter Cheryl (Rick Jasper) and their sons Blake and Troy, third son Blaine (Sherry) and their daughters Ashley and Kirsten, and youngest son Glenn (Cindy) and their son Gregory and daughter Kaitlyn.

She will be sadly missed by sister Doreen (Allan McKay), brothers Ronald, Raymond, and Wayne (Lori), in-laws Clarice Rebillard, Annette and Robert Chevalier, Rheal and Elaine Rebillard, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special to her were cousin Shirley Conrad and friend Francine Holland (Derek's mother).

Bernice was a devoted mother whose first priority was always her family. She loved music and spent many hours playing piano. She also enjoyed contributing towards special occasions, having worked as a seamstress at both The Wedding Lounge and Labelle's Bridal Boutique. Special thanks to family and friends who offered love and compassion during her illness, and also to staff at Riverview Health Centre.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina at Manahan. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church, Swan Lake, Manitoba, with Father Firmin Michiels officiating. Interment is to follow.

Rita LeFloch (nee Aminot)

With her family at her side, at the Notre Dame Hospital on Wednesday May 11, 2005, Mrs. Rita LeFloch of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 68 years. Rita joins her beloved husband Normand LeFloch who passed away December 11, 2004.

She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters: Kim (Robert) Vuignier and Sandra (Denis) Maranda; five grandchildren: Cory and Tyler Maranda and Joey, Liane and Janelle Vuignier. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother Josephine Aminot (nee Robitaille); five sisters: Lucille Vermiere, Lorraine Deroche, Jeannette (André) Durand, Suzanne (Charles) Durand and Paulette (Norman) Berard; four brothers: Ron (Simone), Fernand (Jeannette), Lionel (Diane) and Paul (Clémence; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Jean Aminot in 1989, one brother Gilbert Aminot in 1962, and by two brothers-in-law: Jules Vermiere in 1993 and Marcel Deroche in 2002.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Monday May 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Father Alphonse Bongo officiating. Private family interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Gilberte Picton (née Massinon)

Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, Manitoba on Tuesday May 10, 2005, Mrs. Gilberte Picton of St. Léon, Manitoba passed away at the age of 72 years.

She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Edmond Picton of St. Léon; six children: Henri (Nancy), Paul (Tammie), Suzanne (Keith) Wallcraft, Thérèse (Chris) Buick, Marc (Tracy), Diane (Charles) Martel; 13 grandchildren: Stéphanie, Allison (John), Jake (Megan), Brian, Courtney, Paula (Robin), Allan, Sam, Anthony, Christian, Sylvain, Colin and Vincent; two great-grandchildren: Isaac and Audrey. She also leaves to mourn three sisters: Antonia (Benoit) Gagne, Irène Massinon and Jeannine (Roger) Touzin, and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Esther in 1978, her father Maurice in 1993, and by one brother Victor in 1993 (Marie-Ange in 1994).

With respect for Gilberte's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Léon Roman Catholic Church on Saturday May 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Father Célestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Léon Parish Cemetery.

Clémence Vuignier (née Malo)

Peacefully with her family at her side, at the Notre Dame Hospital on Saturday May 7, 2005, Mrs. Clémence Vuignier of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 57 years.

She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Léo Vuignier and two children Marc and Nicole. She also leaves to cherish her memory one sister Doris (Fernand Lauzé) of St. Jean-Baptiste, two brothers: Roger Malo (Rose) of Windsor, Ontario and Fernand Malo (Lucille) of St. Vital and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

With respect for Clémence's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Thursday May 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Mgr Roger Bazin officiating. Interment at a later date in the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery.

Raymond Le Poder
(1930-2005)

Peacefully with his children at his side, at the Portage District General Hospital, on Wednesday April 27, 2005, Mr. Raymond Le Poder of Oakville, Manitoba passed away at the age of 75 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Doris (nee Yawny); his parents Joseph Le Poder and Celine (nee Tichit); his in-laws Peter and Julia Yawny; one brother-in-law Michael; and by one niece Theresa Mankewicz.

He leaves to mourn his passing two children: Shirley and Norman; one son-in-law Ed Thomas; two grandchildren: Adam and Alicia; one sister Renée Richard; niece Judy (Glen) Murphy, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Anne Mankewicz. He was also an uncle to his two nieces Nicole (Fred), Cathy (Denis), and great-uncle to Matthew, Jared, Evan and Daniel.

It is with great sadness, that Dad has requested no formal funeral service. In celebration of his life we invite family and friends to join us at the Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Ave (across from Nick's Inn) on Sunday May 1, 2005 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Coffee and dainties will be served during a "Come and Go" time, sharing memories and stories with our family. Cremation has taken place. Dad will be laid to rest with Mom on their Anniversary, during a private family burial in May.

Emile Chabbert
(1919-2005)

Peacefully, in his sleep, Emile Chabbert, beloved husband of Clémence (née Lesage), passed away on April 8 at the Foyer Notre Dame.

Dad also leaves to cherish his memory his children Guy (Jacqueline), Raymond (Monique), Raynald, Marilyne (Denis), Gilles (Marina); his grandchildren Julie (Eric), Martin (Pascale), Claudia, Carol (Peter), Richard, Daniel, Nadine, Roxanne, Christopher, Derek, Kassandra; his great-grandchildren Francine, Zacharie, Elisabeth, Jérome, Charlotte, Alexandre; his brother and sisters Louis (Colombe), Alice (Jean), Laurette; his brothers and sisters-in-law Cécile, Pierre, Yolande (Antoine), Donat (Denise) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emile was born, raised, and lived all his life in Notre Dame de Lourdes. A quiet, conservative and honest man, he dedicated his life to his family. Always ready to lend a helping hand to a family member or a neighbour, he was respected by all. "Grand-père" loved children and he would always take the time to listen, play and tease his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We love you and we will miss you even if you will always be there for us.

Thank you to all the Centre de Santé staff and particularly the Foyer staff who took care of him during these last few years.

Prayers will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at Adam's Funeral Home and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 12 at 2 p.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church.

Paisiblement dans son sommeil, Emile Chabbert époux bien-aimé de Clémence (née Lesage), est décédé le 8 avril au Foyer Notre-Dame.

Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses enfants, petits-enfants, arrière petits-enfants, frère et soeurs, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.

Ayant vécu sur la ferme et au village toute sa vie, il l'a dédié à sa famille. Toujours prêt à aider un membre de la famille ou un voisin, il était respecté de tous. Réservé et conservateur, il aimait bien une bonne discussion parfois avec un ton élevé. Les yeux de Grand-père se mettait toujours à pétiller lorsque qu'il recevait la visite des enfants petits ou grands. Il n'était jamais trop occupé pour écouter ou jouer avec ses petits enfants et arrière petits-enfants et les taquiner un peu.

Nous t'aimons et tu nous manqueras même si nous savons que tu seras toujours avec nous.

Merci au personnel du Centre de Santé et particulièrement au personnel du Foyer qui lui ont donné des soins exceptionnels au cours des dernières années.

En signe de reconnaissance, des dons au Foyer Notre-Dame seraient appréciés.

Emilda Lamontagne (nee St. Godard)
Oct 6, 1917 - March 21, 2005

Emilda passed away peacefully, just as she lived her life, at the St. Charles Care Centre on Monday March 21, 2005 at the age of 87 years.

She leaves to mourn 2 step-brothers and 3 step-sisters. She was predeceased by her parents Euclide and Flora (nee Richard), one step brother, and by Donalda and Elziar Allarie, the couple who raised her.

The family would like to thank the Charleswood Care Centre for their excellent care.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Eustache Roman Catholic Church on Monday March 28, 2005 at 7 p.m. Interment at a late date in the Parish Cemetery.

Florence Mayers (nee Steele)

Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Sunday March 20, 2005, Mrs. Florence Mayers of Somerset, Manitoba, beloved wife of Walter Mayers, passed away at the age of 94 years.

With respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

René Joseph Bosc

Paisiblement, le vendredi 18 mars 2005, à l'Hôpital Saint-Boniface, est décédé René Joseph Bosc à l'âge de 68 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Alixe (née Chanel), trois fils, André (Pauline), Paul (Julienne), Joël (Lois), ainsi que dix petits-enfants, Jacinte, René, Daniel, Julien, Rachèle, Pierre, Chanelle, Diane, Denis et Chantale. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses soeurs, Rolande Chanel (Guy), Éliane Boulet (Paul) et son frère Hubert (Thérèse), ainsi que de nombreux beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux, nièces et amis.

Il fut précédé par ses parents Pierre et Marie-Thérèse (Magne) Bosc. René est né le 1er janvier 1937 à Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes où il grandi et fut éduqué. Il fit de nombreuses études universitaires pour entreprendre une longue carrière fructueuse en éducation. Il toucha la vie de nombreux jeunes en tant qu'enseignant, directeur d'école et conseiller en informatique.

Il était un homme dévoué à sa famille et très fier de ses petits-enfants.

Merci à tous ceux qui l'on visité et qui lui ont donné des soins durant sa courageuse lutte contre le cancer.

Ceux qui le désirent, peuvent faire un don à la mémoire de René à CancerCare Manitoba.

La messe des funérailles aura lieu à 14h00, en la Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface, le mardi 22 mars. La messe sera célébrée par l'Abbé Edouard Bonin et concélébrée par Mgr Noël Delaquis et Mgr Henri Perron p.h. Selon la volonté de la famille, l'inhumation des cendres se fera privément.

René Joseph Bosc

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of René Joseph Bosc, aged 68, on Friday, March 18, 2005, after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer, at the St. Boniface Hospital.

René leaves to mourn his loving wife, Alixe (née Chanel), his three sons; André (Pauline), Paul (Julienne) and Joël (Lois), ten grandchildren; Jacinte, René, Daniel, Julien, Rachèle, Pierre, Chanelle, Diane, Denis and Chantale. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Rolande Chanel (Guy), Éliane Boulet (Paul) and his brother, Hubert (Thérèse), as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Pierre and Marie-Thérèse (Magne) Bosc. René was born on January 1st, 1937 in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, where he grew up and attended school. He had a long, successful career as teacher and administrator in the school system. During his retirement years, he cherished his time with family, especially his grandchildren.

A special thanks to Dr. John Foerster for his compassion and the excellent care given to René. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at St.Boniface CancerCare.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of René to CancerCare Manitoba.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22nd at 2:00PM, in the St. Boniface Cathedral, with Fr. Edouard Bonin presiding, and Mgrs. Noël Delaquis and Henri Perron co-presiding. Private internment of cremated remains to follow at a later date.

Albertine Lemoing (nee Binne)

Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday March 12, 2005, Mrs. Albertine Lemoing of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away at the age of 87 years.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Pierre Lemoing; four children: Simone (Robert) Palmer, Raymond (Joanne), Lucienne (Maurice) Buisson, and Nicole (Robert) Werbiski; one daughter-in-law Colombe (Ben) Kehler; 11 grandchildren: Alison, Robyn, Michelle, Aaron, Andrew, Lynne (Edwin), Lorraine (Laurent), Roger (JoAnne), David (Melanie), Ryan and Anthony; 5 great-grandchildren: Jovin, Richelle, Désirée, Isabelle and Alex. She also leaves to mourn one sister-in-law Marie Binne. She was predeceased by one son Norbert in 1983 and by one brother George Binne.

With respect for Albertine's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday March 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Mgr. Roger Bazin officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Sunday February 27, 2005, Mr. Lucien Grenier of St. Leon, Manitoba passed away at the age of 92 years.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Novia (nee Moreau); six sons: Aléxandre (Irene), Gérald (Jeanne), Marcel, Ronald, Emile (Monique) and Guy (Lise); three daughters: Anita (Hubert) Desrochers, Jacqueline Grenier and Nicole (Mark) Lebeau; one daughter-in-law Agnes Grenier: 16 grandchildren: Diane (Murray), Yvette (Richard), Denise (Derek), Gilbert (Rhonda), Daniel, Doris (Mike), Stéphane (Julie), Michelle ( Mike), Mariette (Marty), Lisa (Ken), Ginette (Craig), Nicole, Robert, Guylaine (Hubert), Manon (Martin) and Rhéanne; 22 great-grandchildren: Andrea, Trevor, Kristen, Dylan, Shelby, Katrina, Cody, Kayla, Justin, Jennifer, Julia, Bruce, Claire, Carlee, Ashley, Daira, Logan, Jayden, Emma Darrian, Patrick and Chantal. Lucien also leaves to mourn his passing, one brother Victor Grenier; great-aunt Ludivine Lemieux; four sisters-in-law: Denise Moreau, Mary Moreau, Marthe Grenier and Claire Grenier.

He was predeceased by one daughter Norma in 1944; one son Denis in 1975; two granddaughters: Estelle in 1980 and Brigitte in 1990; one great-grandson Riley in 1997; his parents Félix and Marie Louise; his mother-in-law Yvonne Moreau; six brothers and by two sisters.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Leon Roman Catholic Church on Monday March 7 at 11 a.m. with Father Célestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
