New Democrat MLA, Carrot River Valley
Andy Renaud grew up on a farm in the Marcelin district, and is a Graduate of Retailing from the Saskatchewan Technical Institute. He is part owner of a family real estate firm in Tisdale.
Andy is very active in community and district activities, and is former Alderman for the Town of Tisdale. He served as Chairperson of the local Economic Development Committee, and as a Director of the Credit Union. He has also served in various executive positions for Committees of the TisdaleRecplex, the Recreation Board, and the Planning Board. Mr. Renaud is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Andy Renaud was elected Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Kelsey-Tisdale Constituency in 1991.
On September 20, 1993, Andy Renaud was appointed to Cabinet as Minister of Highways and Transportation, and Chairman of the Board of Saskatchewan Water Corporation, Saskatchewan Transportation Company and the Saskatchewan Grain Car Corporation. In June of 1995, Andy was elected Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Carrot River Valley Constituency. In July, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture.
Mr. Renaud has since relinquished his cabinet duties and remains a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Constituency of Carrot River Valley.
Andy and his wife, Sylvia, have twin daughters.
