At the Cornwall General Hospital on Saturday March 10, 2001. The former Hilda Beatrice Sheasgreen of 439 Second Street East formerly of 236 York Street. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Ouimet. Dear mother of Brian Ouimet (Maureen) of Cornwall and Bernita (Mrs. Larry Capstick) of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of Carrie (Robert), Timothy and Jenna. Precdeceased by one grandson Joseph. Dear daughter of the late William Sheasgreen and the late Mary Murphy. Predeceased by five brothers Reginald, Lawrence, Joseph, Eugene and Frank Sheasgreen and five sisters Rev. Sister Mary Thomas S. S. A., Rev. Sister Mary Bernita S. S. A., Mrs. Irene Collins, Mrs. Helen Young, Mrs. Mary Lawlor. Will be sadly missed by all her relatives and friends.

Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall, Funeral Homes, West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (932-8482) from 2 p.m. Monday.

Funeral Tuesday March 13, 2001 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Columban’s Church at 9 a.m.

Spring interment St. Columban’s Parish Cemetery.

Dear daughter of the late Eugene Lafrance and the late Alexina Vachon. Dear sister of Rheal Lafrance (Jeannette) of Cornwall. Predeceased by three brothers, Charles-Emile, Eugene and Oscar Lafrance and by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Sauve and Mrs, Gisele Welsh.

Dear father of Samson (Sam) Johnson and Lawrence Johnson Jr. both at home, Sgt. Jeffrey Johnson (Stacey) of Fort Bragg, South Carolina, Henry Johnson (Donna), Cecelia (Mrs. James C. Jacobs), Tracy Johnson and Caroline Johnson (Francis) all of Snye. Predeceased by one daughter, Tina Louise Thompson. Dear son of the late Richard Johnson and the late Margaret Cook. Dear brother of Thomas (Baseball) Johnson (Melinda) and Sandra (Mrs. Lonnie Thompson) both of St. Regis, Howard Johnson, Elizabeth Lafrance, Patricia Johnson and Josephine (Mrs. Reginald Herne) all of Snye, Pauline (Mrs. George Gray) of Ft. Covington, New York and Paul Wayne Johnson. Predeceased by one brother, Ronald Johnson and by two sisters, Beatrice Johnson and Mrs. Nancy Cook. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Resting at his residence, River Road, Snye from 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral Saturday, March 17, 2001 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Church at 1 p.m. followed by cremation.

Rodrigue St. Jean

ST. JEAN, Rodrigue - At Sandfield Place on Friday, March 16, 2001. Rodrigue (Dick) Joseph St. Jean; formerly of Cumberland Street; age 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Rollande Delorme. Dear father of Madeleine (Mrs. George Clarke), Robert St. Jean (Barbara), Denis St. Jean (Aline) and Donald St. Jean (Shannon) all of Cornwall, Raymond St. Jean (Jean) of London, Ontario and Helene (Mrs. Guy Lanctot) of Carleton Place. Predeceased by one infant son, Joseph St. Jean. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who lovingly called him “Pepere Rod”. Dear son of the late Jeremie St. Jean and the late Virginie Lauzon. Dear brother of Mrs. Marie-Rose Rozon and Claire (Mignonne) Lamarche both of Cornwall, William (Willie) St. John (Anne) of Lunenburg and Mrs. Marguerite Brunet of Hull, Quebec. Predeceased by four brothers, D’Assise, Norman, Maurice and Henry St. Jean and by two sisters, Laurette St. Jean and Mrs. Clara Landry.

Dear daughter of the late Ramzan Khan and the late Bismillah Khan. Dear sister of Shabbir Ahmed of Pakistan and sister-in-law of Nesar and Arifa Ahmed of Saskatoon. Dear aunt of Sohail and Raheel Ahmed of Saskatoon.

Dear son of the late Procule Duplante and the late Josephine Poirier. Dear brother of Laurier Duplante (Lilliane) of Ottawa, Alice (Mrs. Leo Cadieux), Rose (Mrs. Alphonse Cadieux) and Cherie (Mrs. Rolland Duplante) all of Cornwall. Predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Morin. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Dear son of the former Florence Bissonnette and the late Percy Paupst Sr. Dear brother of Lionel Sabourin (Patricia) and Ernest Sabourin (Sandra) both of Moose Creek. Will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

Dear son of the late William Moar Ballantyne and the late Jessie Emilie Clark. Dear brother of Mrs. Lorraine Gordon and Miss Lillian Ballantyne both of Cornwall.
