SPIRONELLO, Doreen May (nee Cunningham)
1925-2010
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our mother and grandmother on December 22, 2010. Doreen is predeceased by Fred, the love of her life. They are finally dancing again. Doreen was born and raised in Niagara Falls and recently moved to Hamilton to be near her family. She will be missed by her devoted children Tom and Valerie (Anna Marie), cherished granddaughter Blaize DiSabatino ( P.J.) and the greatest blessing in her life, her great-granddaughter, Katarina-May Ella. She will be missed by her sisters-in-law Lucy and Costy, her nieces, nephews and many special and dear friends. Special thanks to the staff at Aberdeen Gardens and to Dr. Anna Emili who cared for her with great compassion. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass at St Joseph’s Parish (260 Herkimer St. Hamilton) on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 10am. Burial to follow at 2:30pm at Fairview cemetery (4501 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls). In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

November 22, 1928 – December 16, 2010
Peacefully passed away with his family by his side at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Beloved husband of Domenica. Devoted father of Olivio (Margherita) and Lino (Lynn). Cherished Nonno of Natalie, David, Gianmichael and Simona. Loving brother of Michele (Mina) and their children Ilaria (Larry Paletta and Andrea (Marylisa) and Remo (Patrinella). Predeceased by brothers and sisters Fiore, Ana, Alfredo, Gina (Piarino), Basilico and Emilio. He will also be missed by his brother- in-law Rigo and sisters-in-law Ana, Anita, Maria and Lucia (Emidio) Bottolini of Italy. Survived by brother Domenico (Lucia) Casagrande of Austrailia. Friends and family will be received at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON, 905.574.0405 on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 3pm on Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at Regina Mundi Roman Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Rd W, on Monday, December 20 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Finley, Dr. Boyle, nurse Mariam and the staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre.

Peacefully, on Saturday, December 25, 2010, age 71. Loving husband of Debbie (nee MacMillan). Cherished dad of Jodi (Randy) and Todd. Grandpa to Krysten, Emily and Justin. Survived by his nieces Anne Marie (Ric), Patricia (Barry) and Nancy (Dave) and nephews Gordie and Martin (Cynthia). Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Spencer and his sisters Kay Boose and Rita Carubba.

The family is saddened to announce the passing of Marissa on December 17, 2010 at Sick Kids Hospital. Loving daughter of Restie and Maria. Cherished sister of Thelonious. Dear granddaughter of Tessie and Restie Sr. Pineda and Lina Caballero. She will also be missed by her uncles, aunts, and cousins. Piccirillo, Antonio "Tony"
April 3, 1945 - December 15, 2010
After a courageous battle with cancer Tony passed away in his 66th year surrounded by his family and friends at the Juravinski Hospital. Beloved husband of Carmen (Alfano) for 43 wonderful years. Son of the late Luigi and Maria Picccirillo. He will be sadly missed by his son Louie, his daughter Marisa and her husband Marc Restivo. Cherished Nonno to his Grandchildren; Desiree, Lucas and Felicia. Dear Brother of Mike and Barb Piccirillo, Angela (Piccirillo) and Joe Schiarizza. Son-in-law of the late Salvatrice and Calogero Alfano. Nephew of the late Zio Joe and Zia Argentina Piccirillo. Brother-in-law of the late Ralph and Dina Alfano, late Bruno and Lina Campisi, Tony and the late Marie Alfano, Sam Alfano, Gino and Rosa Terrana, Sam and Concetta Taibi, Ralph and Maria Spadafora, John and Maureen Alfano. Tony will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by loving friends the late Terry & Giovanna Mostacci & family Milano and Sarah Coloprisco and family, Antonietta Lucarelli, Angelo and Maria Fiorino, Charlie and Theresa Scozzari, and many other friends and neighbours dear to his heart. Tony worked 42 years for Valley City Manufacturing in Dundas and later retired after 6 years from Erik Cabinets Inc. Tony enjoyed playing and coaching Soccer, playing bowling and bocce, traveling to warm tropical islands, but he mostly loved his time spent with his wife, family and friends. Sincere Thanks to his doctors, Dr. DiPaolo and staff, Dr Marcellus and Shannon Hilton RN, Dr Adili, Dr. M. Slaven and all the Doctors and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Clinic, ER and the ICU for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society & Mitochondrial disease resource group @ McMaster Children hospital would be appreciated. Visitation at the BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, William J. MOSER, Marlene Cecilia
1963-2010
Gone from our lives, but never from our hearts. After a courageous and strong battle with breast cancer, Marlene left our lives on Tuesday, December 21st at the Juravinski Hospital, two weeks before her 48th birthday. Cherished wife of Philip and mother to her dear sweetie Cecilia (CeCe). Beloved daughter to Arthur and Cecilia Moser. Loving sister to Jeanette (Stephen), Cheryl (Chris), Donna, Paul (Terri), Karen (Eric) and Christine and playful aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Always remembered with love by the Toms family.
Marlene was a generous woman who loved telling stories, writing, making theatre and teaching. Her greatest joys were her daughter CeCe and her family. Talented in so many ways, Marlene shone as a parent, sharing with CeCe her gifts of laughter and play, and her open-hearted approach to all that life brought her, light and dark. Professionally, Marlene's PhD from the University of Toronto led to ten years with Brock University. Her passion for teaching, research, creativity and academic leadership was well known to her students and colleagues in the Dramatic Arts.
Special thanks to Dr. Tozer and the staff at the Juravinski Centre and to all who provided constant love, support and kindness in her journey.

1934-2010
Peacefully, with family and dear friends by his side, on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at the age of 76.
Cherished husband of Calogera for 45 years. Will be missed by his children, Enzo, Nardina and Farhad, Mike, and Aldo. His gentle teasing will be forever missed by his grandchildren, Alexandra, Mikhail, Payton, Celina, Mason, Carissa and Sadie.

Fisher, Edwin Gordon
1929-2010
Peacefully at home, with family by his side, on the morning of Friday, December 17, 2010, in his 82nd year.
Loving husband of Norma. Mentor and father to Steven (Faye), Paul, and Nancy (Glenn) Morris. Loving Grandpa of Melissa, Megan (Jason Robertson), Nicole, Hayley, and Adam (Sara) and Jenna Parkin. Predeceased by his sister Alma Simpson, and survived by his brother John and his sister Clara (Martin) Gamelin of Meaford.
Edwin was a member of IBEW Local 105 Hamilton for 58 years, and also a member of the Seniors Club. He was a past president of the Electrical Contractors Association of Hamilton, and a member of the Ontario Electrical League.
A Celebration of Edwin’s Life will be held for family and friends on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Church of the Resurrection (435 Mohawk Rd W), at 1pm, with Service and Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

Alavata, Virginia
August 27 1941 – November 25 2010.
Peacefully passed away with her family at her side. She will be loved, remembered and missed by her beloved children, grandchildren, family and friends.

After a courageous battle with breast cancer at the Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at the age of 42. Survived by husband Kelly; children Bailey and Denver; mother Helen Aelick; late father Cliff Aelick; brother Dave Aelick and his wife Lynn; nieces Kayla and Leah; and all other family members and friends. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday December 13, 2008 at 1 p.m. Cremation. Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Tuesday December 1, 2010. Beloved husband of Molly. Devoted father of Rohini and Renuka and her husband Mike Preocanin. Proud grandfather of Katarina, Kayla and Alex. Will be missed by sister-in-law Rosemary Le febour and family. His smiles are remembered by many. Special thanks to the nurses, staff and Dr. Mezara of Ward F5 for the comfort they provided and to the staff of VON and Villa Adult programs for their support over the last several years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and interment will take place at BAYVIEW cemetery , CREMATORY & MAUSOLEUM, 740 Spring Gardens Rd, BURLINGTON at a later date.
