Clynick, Evelyn May Elizabeth
Peacefully at the Peter D. Clark Centre on Saturday February 16, 2008 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Glen Clynick. Dear mother of Richard (Ruth). Loving grandmother of Matthew and James. Survived by her sisters Ruby Gaw (late Ken) Eunice Henry (late Bud), Edith Sheldrick (Mervin Clost and the late Eric), sister-in-law Betty Ann Youell and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Gladys Gaw (late Charlie) and brother Sidney Findlay (late Margaret). Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt), on Friday March 7, 2008 from 10 -11 am followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11 am. Inurnment at Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Blythe, David Thomas
25th September - 2nd March 2008
Suddenly at home in his 71st year, David Blythe formerly of England, beloved husband of June, brother of Lynne Jones (Les) and Joyce Glover. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Milly, brother Keith and sister Jean. Dave will be missed by his wife’s family, Stephen Childerhose, (Clare), Joline Saunders (Jeff), Bob Childerhose (Anna), Leah Everett (Danny) and many grandchildren; by his best buddies, John and Sue Fleck and children Andrea and James, and many friends. At 16, he joined the Royal Navy as an Artificer Apprentice.. After his apprenticeship, his time was spent at various Fleet Air Arm shore bases. In 1963 he retrained to shipborne radio, serving commissions in the Far East and the Mediterranean. He left the RN in 1967 at the top of his trade as a Chief Radio Electrical Artificer, and emigrated to Canada the following year. In 1970 he joined the National Aeronautical Establishment at NRC Uplands, until his recent retirement from his post as Senior Avionics Engineer. Friends may call at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Thornton, Patricia Ann (née Marek)
Peacefully in hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2008, age 53 years. Dearest wife and best friend of Robert Thornton. Devoted mother of Jonathan and Stephanie. Cherished daughter of Natalie Marek (the late Stanley) of Desoronto. Also survived by sisters Carol Hagerman (Doug), Marilyn Spencer (Bob) and her dearest brother Michael Marek and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Cinil, Dr. A. Seeley as well as Gail and Brenda for their care and support. MOONEY, Catherine Jean (nee Wickenden) Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on March 3, 2008 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late J.G.M. (Kip) Mooney. Dear sister of Jocelyn Watson (Jim) of Pointe Claire, QC, Martha MacKellar (Jim) of Don Mills, ON, Harriet Taylor (Roy) of Oakville, ON, Alice MacEwen (the late Peter) of Qualicum Beach, BC and John Wickenden (Bonnie) of Baie D’Urfe, QC. Step-mother of the late Lorne (Margaret) of Toronto, ON and Eric (Sharon) of Vancouver, BC. Donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada or to a charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged. Memorial Service and Inurnment will take place on Monday, May 12, 2008 at St. John’s Anglican Church (325 Sandhill Road, Kanata, ON) at 1 p.m., following which a reception to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club, 1405 Gatineau Road, Aylmer, PQ.

Beloved father of Michel (Jacqueline Cossette) of Gatineau, Sandra Delorme (Gilles) of St-Julie, QC, Robert (Diane Limoges Lewis) of Ottawa and Karen Lewis (Daniel Brazeau) of Gatineau. Loving grandfather of Christine Lewis Cossette, Veronique, Natasha and Philippe Delorme, Benoit Garneau and Melanie and Benoit Brazeau. Dear brother of Dorothy McFarlane of Ottawa and the late Orval Lewis, Violet Whiting and Weldon Lewis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. passed away peacefully in her sleep at Granite Ridge LTC Facility in Ottawa, Ontario on March 6, 2008. Frances O’Kelly (nee McDonald) was in her 100th year. Only daughter of the late Donald Hogarth McDonald and Frances Matilda McDonald (nee Benson) of Winnipeg, Fort Qu’Appelle and Vancouver. Beloved wife of the late P. E. J. (Mickey) O’Kelly. Loving mother of Patrick O’Kelly (Kim). Devoted grandmother to Hannah (David), Brennan, and Meaghan O’Kelly . Great Grandmother to Malcolm O’Kelly. Private family remembrance will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the SPCA in memory of her devotion to her many cats and love of animals would be appreciated.

passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre surrounded by family. Predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Smith) of Ightham, Kent, England. Survived by his second wife Liliane (Begin-Girard); son John (Peggy McEvoy), Ottawa, Ontario; daughters Jane (Pat Duff), Pembroke, Ontario; Jessica (Donovan Linney), Eureka, N.S.W., Australia; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. At his request there will be no visitation. For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre would be appreciated.

Isabel will be sadly missed by her cousin Betty Milk and her best friend Ruby Brading. Predeceased by her parents Annie and Samuel MacLelland, her brothers Milton and Arnold, her sisters Vera and Hazel, her son Wallace and daughter-in-law Denise. Proud and loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Peter and John, and her sister Molly. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Peacefully at Starwood Nursing Home on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the age of 89 years. Loving sister of Frances McKitrick of Crystal City, MB and Eleanor Todd of Richmond, ON. Predeceased by sister Edna Dunbar and brothers David and George Arbuckle. She will also be greatly missed by nieces and nephews; Lee Ann Todd, Mike Todd, Kathy Allen, Pam Todd, David Todd, Bonnie Arbuckle and Brian Dunbar as well as all of their families. Mary had a long and successful career with the Canadian Embassy – External Affairs, that took her to many countries around the world. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Crystal View Lodge, The Empress Kanata and Starwood Nursing Home for caring for Mary in the past few years. Legault, Christopher Martin
Suddenly, as the result of an accident on his snowmobile, on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Chris was born in Ottawa on October 4, 1965. He attended Osgoode Public School and Metcalfe High School. He shared in the ownership of Brown’s Better Flowers for 23 years. Together he and his partner Susan Johnson built their dream home and have been a resident of Richmond, Ontario for the past three years. Chris leaves behind his loving partner Sue Johnson, his parents Bob and Joyce Legault, his brothers Lindsay (Patricia) of Stittsville and Greg (and his partner Marc) of Kemptville. He will also be missed by Pam and Denis Johnson, his favourite dog Chester and by all of his many relatives and friends.
