CLARK, Harold Matthews -
Entered into rest to be with his wife Wilda Munro on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Uxbridge. In his 91st year. Harold, beloved father of John and his wife Gayle, Brock and his wife Sharon, Elaine and her husband Paul Weaver and Hugh and his wife Margaret. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Carolyn, Cheryl, Crystal, Lorraine and fiance Marc LeGrand, Richard, Willa, Heather, Paula, Janet, Bradley and great grandson Dylan. Survived by his brothers Fred, Ken, Roy and Dave. Predeceased by Ellie, Ruth and Bruce. Resting at the LOW & LOW FUNERAL HOME, UXBRIDGE on Friday, February 2nd, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment, Uxbridge cemetery. In Harold's Memory, memorial donations made to the Friends Quaker Meeting House or the Canadian Cancer Society (Ontario Division) appreciated.

ESPINOZA, Julio L. -
Julio went into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2001. He will be dearly remembered as a loving husband by his wife, Francisca; a caring father to his son Julio and his wife Phyllis, and grandfather to Peter and Daniel. Julio, a native of Peru, is also lovingly remembered by his brothers in Peru, Miguel, Manuel, Ra l, and sisters Angelica, Mercedes and Augusta. His kindness and generosity also touched the lives of his relatives and many friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre who so diligently cared for him during his 3 month stay in the ICU, where he peacefully passed on. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village) 905-428-8488 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens.

GRIFFITHS, Marguerite -
Peacefully, at the Ajax & Pickering Health Centre, on Wednesday, January 31, 2001, in her 86th year. Marguerite Griffiths (nee Murray), beloved wife of the late Sidney. Loving mother of David and his wife Violet, and Gordon and his wife Winnifred. Granny of 7 grandchildren, and Great Granny of 6. Sister of Alex Murray and the late Marjorie and Mary. Marguerite will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Community Nursing Home of Village Retirement Centre. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village) 905-428-8488 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001. LEASK, Sarah Elizabeth (Bessie) -
Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge. In her 87th year. Long time resident of Leaskdale. Bessie Kennedy beloved wife of the late George Cameron Leask. Dear mother of Barry and his wife Cheryl, Bill and his wife Pat, Helen and her husband Jim. Grandmother of Brenda, Cindy, Greg, Sarah, Michael and Stephen. Survived by her sisters Grace, Eleanor, Lila and Audrey. Resting at the LOW & LOW FUNERAL HOME, UXBRIDGE (23 Main Street S.) on Thursday, February 1st, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In Bessie's Memory, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Uxbridge Cottage Hospital or the Leaskdale Presbyterian Church.

LAUSHWAY, Reta Mabel (nee Fenton) -
Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, January 31, 2001, beloved wife of the late Kenneth B. Laushway. Survived by her sisters Vina Payne and Winnifred Durant, both of Kemptville and the late Nina Treiber, Violet Beeler, Ruby Locke and Ernest Fenton. Will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Larry and his wife Penny and his sister Gail. Special friend of Bob and Jeanette Smith. Ross will be sadly missed by all his family and friends from the Oshawa-Clarington Association for Community Living. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Wednesday January 31st, 2001. Wesley, in his 69th year. Survived by his wife Rosemarie. Loving father of Nancy Reimer (Victoria B.C.), Tom Reimer and his wife Lori (Chilliwack B.C.), David Reimer (Chilliwack B.C.), and Kathy Branton and her husband Richard (Brampton Ont.). Beloved grandfather of Sean, Erin, Joe, Willie, Wylie, Wesley, Lindsay, and Alex. Great grandfather of Eric. Predeceased by his parents John and Helen and brother Donald. Wesley will be sadly missed by all of his friends and family. Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905) 433-4711. A celebration of Wesley's life will be held at his apartment building at 124 Park Road North in Oshawa on Saturday February 10th at 4:00pm. TORRENS, Cynthia “Cindy” Annette (nee Dale) -
Entered into rest surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 31st, 2001, in Whitby. After a lengthy battle fought will much courage and humor. Cindy is survived by loving husband Dave, who will cherish every moment they shared together. Beloved mother of Chenoa and Jason, who will always treasure the devotion and humor, they shared to guide them throughout their lives. Cindy will be dearly missed by her parents Claude and Eleanor Dale, her brother Carl and sister-in-law Grace Dale, sister Claudette and brother-in-law Dave Noble. Cindy will also be greatly missed by her mother-in-law Grace Torrens, brother-in-laws and sisters-in-laws Rick Torrens, Joanne Torrens, Wayne Torrens, Joanne Bush, Al Bush, Bambi Bereziuk, Carl Bereziuk and by her many nieces and nephews. Cindy will always be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Cindy will be adored and held forever in our hearts by all whose lives she touched. Our lives are all the better for knowing you. Dear brother of Barry Guthrie and his wife Barb, and uncle of Michael and Leeann. At Kingston General Hospital, Kingston on Tuesday30th, 2001. Jean Rawlinson (nee Mills), in her 95th year. Born March 24th, 1906. Beloved wife of the late Fred Rawlinson and the late Len Hagerrnan. Loving mother of Betty Kent and her late husband Bill of Kingston, and the late Bob Rawlinson and his wife Marilyn of Elmira. Dear grandmother of Catherine Ritter, Bill Kent, Paul RawLinson and Susan Hands, and great- grandmother of Bronson and Brandy Kent, Kyla, Jacob and Noah Rawlinson. Predeceased by her brothers Ray and Cliff Mills and her sister Madeline Baird. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held on Friday, February 2nd, 2001 with interment in Oshawa Union cemetery. Loving father of Deb Bennett and husband Jeff of Kitchener, Doug Stone and wife Lee of Oshawa, Rob Stone and wife Karen of Oshawa. Proud Grandfather of Michael, Kayla, John, Phillip, Paul, David, Natalie, Madeline, and Haley. Fondly remembered by nephews Rich Neely and wife Wendy, Mike Neely and wife Kelly and Great Uncle of Zachary, Jessica and Laura. Sadly missed by devoted friends, Wayne and Gail Precoor of Brooklin.
