McKay, Gary Allan Walter. Peacefully at home on Wednesday January 24, 2001. Gary McKay of Jarvis, in his 61st year. Beloved husband of Brenda (Paterson) McKay. Dear father of Cindy and John Abbott and Derek McKay all of St. Albert, Alberta. Brother of William and Bev. of Windsor and the late Bev. Gary retired as a machinist after 31 years of service at Ontario Hydro and was a member of R.C.L. Branch 164, Hagersville. Friends are invited to call at Cooper Funeral Home, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service for Gary will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Saturday at 10,30 a.m. with Rev. Peacefully, with his family by his side at the Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday February 25, 2001, Douglas Pickering of Townsend, formerly of Hamilton. Beloved husband for 58 years of Olive (Prior) Pickering. Dear father of Vicki and Ken Scotland of Calgary, Richard and Patty Pickering of Vancouver, Penny and Jim Anderson of Peterborough, Jodi and Jim Yates of Townsend and the late Noel. Loving grandfather of Jill, Janet, James and Jordan Scotland; Stephen, Warren and Andrew Pickering; Benjamin and Martha Anderson; Gloria and Amelia Grace Yates, and great grand father of Alyssa, Brendon, Addison, Victoria, Alexander, Macaulay and Canyon. Doug was a veteran of WW II, serving in Europe as a Sgt. with the R.C.E.M.E. Friends are invited to call at The Royal Canadian Legion, Hagersville on Wednesday from 2 - 3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3,00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Case officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the funeral service. Cremation to follow. Sister of Berril Parkinson of Port Dover, Dorothy (Mrs. William Soper) of Brantford and the late John (Jack) Blakemore, Eleanor (Dolly) Crossett and Donald William Blakemore. Aunt Molly will be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bridges worked as a secretary for many years at the Hotel Kirby in Brantford.
