Suddenly at the Peterborough Civic Hospital on Wednesday, January 6th, 1999.
Loving husband of Joanne, dear brother of Margaret and her husband Nelson Kuhn of Brampton, Bunny of California and brother-in-law of Tim Jackson of North Bay.
Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends were invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, 127 Main Street, Minden (1-888-588-5777) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 9th, 1999 at 11 a.m.
Cremation to follow.
Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation (HHHSF) would be appreciated by the family.

HOWE, Ida

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home, Haliburton on Wednesday, January 6th, 1999 in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Howe.
Dear mother of Geraldine and her husband Glen Sawyer of Markham, Fay and her husband Bruce McKay of Haliburton and predeceased by her son Jack.
Loving grandmother of Roger and his wife Karen, David and Pat and Mike, great grandmother of Sheila, Patty, Jennifer, Stephanie and great great grandmother of Kori.
Survived by her sister Hazel Howie.
Friends were invited to visited the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, 127 Main Street, Minden from 7-9 p.m. on Friday.
Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 9th, 1999 at 1:30 p.m.
Reception to follow in the Family Centre at the Funeral Home.
Spring Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Haliburton.
Memorial Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.

Promoted to the glory of God on January 5th, 1999, at home in Wilberforce in his 70th year.
Beloved husband of Lynn (Amos) of Wilberforce.
Loving father of Ann (Bill Buchan) of Brampton, Hazel (Greg Grant) of Wilberforce, Kendal Binskin of Brampton, and Terry Binskin of Orangeville.
Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kevin, Joshua, Andrew, Joel, Leah and Melissa.
Predeceased by his brother Derek.
Friends and relatives were invited to call at the Wilberforce Full Gospel Church on Friday, January 8.
Spring interment South Wilber-force Cemetery, Wilberforce.

Beloved husband of the late Susan Jollymore (1988).
Loving companion of Mabel Black of Wilberforce.
Dear foster brother of John Connelly (Paula) and foster sister Marie Connelly all of Guelph.
Also dearly remembered by foster brother Bill Dousett (Betty) of Hamilton.
Dear brother-in-law of Gladys (Doug Hay) of Calgary, Pat (Ralph Stephenson), Jackie (Peter Earle), Vivian (John Taylor) and Dawn Marie Jollymore all of Toronto.
Loving uncle to Lisa, Amy, Cori, Tracey, Adam, Katie, Megan and J.J.
Dear friend of Norma (Jerry Harris) and Betty (Danny Belo) both of Toronto.
Fondly remembered by his two grandchildren Melissa and Dean.
Predeceased by his foster mother Isabelle and foster father Albert Connelly.

ROESKE, Katharina "Kay"

(Retired Registered Nurse)
On January 22, 1999 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, in her 77th year.
Kay was the dearly beloved wife of Boris Arnold Roeske.
Beloved mother of Irene Concordia Austin and spouse Peter Scrimshaw and Richard James Roeske both of Brampton and son-in-law Jerry Austin.
Fondly remembered by her granddaughter Katy Austin of Paris, Ontario.
Kay also leaves behind a dear elder sister, Maria Rothleder of Ludwighafen, Germany.
Friends called at the Coboconk Community Funeral Home, Cameron Street (on Hwy #35) in Coboconk (800) 833-4342 on Monday afternoon, January 25, 1999 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Tuesday morning, January 26, 1999 at 11 o'clock.
Spring Interment Burnt River Cemetery, Burnt River.
As expressions of sympathy donations to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lindsay would be appreciated by the family.

PETTIT, Lillian Evelyn

(An active member of the Baha'i Community)
Passed away peacefully at her home in the Hunter Creek Estates, Minden on Saturday, January 23rd, 1999 in her 87th year.
Lillian was the daughter of the late Eric and Hazel Pettit and the sister of the late Brook Pettit.
Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Helen Pettit, nieces Virginia Pettit and Robin Elholm, nephew James Pettit, by friends Colleen Riley of Tory Hill, Mrs. Nell Miscio of Minden, Mrs. Carol Smith of Kirby, Mrs. Anderson of Ajax, Mrs. M. Hamilton of Hanover, Mrs. Merle Reid of Minden, Gord Kidd and Julie Chalmers of Haliburton and by her many care-givers.
Family and friends were received at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, 127 Main Street, Minden on Tuesday, January 26th, 1999 for the Funeral Service at 1 p.m.
A reception followed at the Family Centre at the Funeral Home.
Burial will occur at Minden Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation would be appreciated.

SEARS, Jeanne Helander

Passed away peacefully in Ajax, Ontario on Tuesday, January 26th, 1999 in her 80th year.
Beloved wife of the late George Milton Sears.
Dear mother of Jeanette Carolyn Leaman (Reg) of Newmarket, Muriel Lois Ewing (Randy Duncan) of Buckhorn, Glen Gordon Milton Sears (Louise) of Ajax, Isla Margaret Warburton (Paul) of Lindsay, Sandra Marilyn Gauthier (Gary) of Keswick.
Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her brother Gordon Murchison.
Friends were invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, 127 Main Street, Minden K0M 2K0 (1-888-588-5777) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorial Service was held in the Chapel on Friday, January 29th, 1999 at 2 p.m.
Reception followed in the Family Centre at the Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place.
Spring Interment Minden Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Minden Hospital Building Fund or to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #636 Service at the Funeral Home was held on Thursday at 8 p.m.

DANILKO, David L.

Peacefully at the North Hastings District Hospital, Bancroft on Friday January 29, 1999.
Beloved husband of Violet (nee Mintz).
Dear brother of Doreen Nichols (the late Charles), Eustiena Hore (Jim), Emma Danilko, John (Jane), Don (Nola), Ruth Thornbury (Clarence), Lemuel, Phillip (Eleanor), Matthew (Sharon), James (Norma) and predeceased by Victoria.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home, 127 Main Street, Minden, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday.
Then to the Gooderham Penecostal Church for Funeral Service on Tuesday February 2nd, 1999 at 1 pm.
Pastor Patrick Steel will be officiating.
Interment at the Gooderham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
