Harkness - Peacefully at her home on Monday, July 29, 2002 with her family holding her hands. Evelyn Marguerite Helen Harkness of St. Thomas, following a lengthy illness in her 92nd year. Mother and special friend of Marilyn Evans and her husband Richard and cherished grandmother of Wendy Evans Cashmore and her partner Michael Thompson, all of St. Thomas. Dear loved great-grandmother of Jason, Michael Jr., Samantha and Kiara, also of St. Thomas. Dear sister of the late Gordon Harkness. Also survived by 2 nieces, Sharon Hetherington and her husband Marc of Brantford and Lynne MacNamara and her husband Dave of Fenelon Falls. Sincere friend of Ernie Fougere of St. Thomas. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the St. Thomas Cemetery, West Ave. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged.

Jenkins - At St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, July 30, 2002. Lois Margaret Jenkins of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late George William Jenkins (1978). Dear mother of Ernest Jenkins and wife Madeline of R.R. #1, Belmont. Loving grandmother of Lawrence Jenkins and Stephanie Zavitz and husband Wilbert. Also survived by a nephew Harold Manning and wife Grace of R.R. #1, Belmont. Predeceased by a brother Arthur Parkes and 3 sisters; Lucella Parkes, Mary Saunders and Gertrude LePage. Born in Kingsmill, Ontario on July 24, 1905, daughter of the late Solomon and Victoria (Pearce) Parkes. Lois lived most of her life in the South Dorchester Twp. area. She was a member of the Belmont United Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, August 02, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Lloyd Brown of Belmont United Church, officiating. Donations to the Belmont United Church would be appreciated.

Jordan - At her residence on Tuesday, July 30th, 2002. Doris Helen (Logan) Jordan of St.Thomas in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Jordan (1993) and dearly loved mother of Judy and her husband Graham McCallum of Barrie and James Jordan of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Norma Richter of R.R. #1 Melbourne. Predeceased by two brothers Herman and Roderick Logan. Doris is also lovingly remembered by four grandchildren Ian and Mary Jane McCallum and Jennifer and Derek Jordan and by several nieces and nephews. Doris was a member of First United Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to Animal Aide.

Dear mother of John Shackelton and wife Ronee of R.R. #1, Springfield, Doug Shackelton and wife Debbie of R.R. #4, Aylmer, Gwen Tracey and husband Bob of R.R. #1, Springfield and Gary Shackelton and wife Kim of R.R. #1 Springfield. Loving grandmother of Michael Shackelton and wife Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jason, Cameron, Jay, Wendy, Mallory, Caylee and Whitney Shackelton, Tyler, Mark and Ashlan Tracey. Sister to Betty Fentie and husband Don of R.R. #1, Springfield, June Evaschuk and husband Les of Dorchester and Tom Hunter and wife Arlene of Gladstone. Sister-in-law to Reta Hunter of Gladstone and Donna Hunter of New Dundee. Predeceased by 2 brothers; Albert and Robert Hunter. Born in Durham Twp. on January 20, 1929, daughter of the late Cecil and Agnes (Smith) Hunter. Dorothy lived most of her life in Springfield and District and was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer, on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, August 02, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Springfield Cemetery. Pastor John Twinem of Springfield Baptist Church, officiating assisted by Pastor Jeff Rockwell. Donations to the A.L.S. Society or Springfield Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.

Kishimoto - Sachiko Kishimoto passed away peacefully on July 29, 2002 at Scarborough General Hospital in her 77th year. Predeceased by her husband, Yuichi, she was loved and will be remembered by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas, Ontario (519-631-0850) on Monday, August 5, 2002 at 2 p.m. A 49th day memorial service will be conducted at the Toronto Buddhist Church on Sunday, September 15 at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend either service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scarborough General Hospital Foundation or the Toronto Buddhist Church and are much appreciated. We thank you for your friendship and support. Loving grandmother to Jill and Luc Toth, Mackenzie, Quinn and Duncan Matthews. Sister to Wayne Hepburn of Aylmer. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on December 28, 1944, daughter of the late Neil and Jean (Laing) Hepburn. Gloria was a life long residence of Aylmer and was Past President of the Aylmer Kinette Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 03, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date in the Orwell Cemetery. Rev. Norman Jones officiating. Donations to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children would be appreciated.
