It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and husband Lawrence, who passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2001.

Lawrence was born in Duval, SK and located permanently to Regina at a young age and worked for 35 years as a city bus driver.

Lawrence is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Amelia Kelln (nee Scherle); three brothers, George, Edward and John. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Olga; his children Laurie (Walt) Watterson, Perry (Lori) Kelln and Susan (Raymond) Maffenbeier; grandchildren: Leah and Jana Cojocar, Shawn and Scott Kelln, Chris and Jessica Maffenbeier; brothers Joe (Alvina), Bill (Rose), Rudy, Wally (Sophie), Teddy (Bertha); sisters Alma Krentz, Lydia Kelln, Carey (Bob) Hey, Elsie (Ernest) Jauck, Evelyn (Paul) Criton, sister-in-law Rosie Kelln, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A VISITATION for family and friends will be held at the Regina Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2001 from 7 - 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundations of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina, SK, S4R 1A6.

Leah Mary Ann Brown
March 17, 1928 - March 22, 2005

BROWN – Leah passed away after a lengthy illness on March 22, 2005 at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard; parents, John and Delia Landry, and brother, Arthur. She will lovingly be remembered by her son, Doug (Debra) and their children: Heather and Adam; sister, Rita Beal; brother, Albert (Mary) Landry and extended family John (Ellen) Ayles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. DUE TO FAMILY ALLERGIES, no flowers please. Memorial tributes may be made in Leah’s memory to charity of one’s choice. Shelby Ann Peterson
March 16, 2004 - March 23, 2005

PETERSON – Shelby passed away in her mother’s arms on March 23, 2005 at the young age of one year and one week. She was predeceased by her grandmother Shirley Peterson. Shelby will be lovingly remembered by her parents: Kelly & Alana, three brothers: Cody, Tanner & Blaize; grannie & pappa, Tom & Faye Sanders; nanna & pappa, Brian & Karen Klassen; grandpa Lyle Peterson; three great grandmothers Barb Sanders, Irene Trofimenkoff & Alvina Klassen; aunties and uncles: Tammie, Kim, Christa, Cameron, Daryl, Renee, Jamie and numerous cousins. Shelby’s family would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ruthnam and all of the special “aunties & uncles” on Unit 4F who cared for her in the past year. Mike Fedec
April 17, 1931 - March 14, 2005

FEDEC – Mike passed away with his family by his side Monday, March 14, 2005 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 73. Mike was predeceased by his parents Mike and Sophie Fedec and his in-laws Herman and Elsie Voss. Mike is survived by Helen, his wife of 47 years; daughter Cheryl (Neil Lavoie); sons Larry (Cathy Miner) Fedec, Scott (Jackie) Fedec. He will be missed by six grandchildren: Lenore and Lane Lavoie, Kyle and Julia Fedec, Mason and Ellie Fedec; brother Paul (Leona) Fedec and brother-in-law Bill (Denise) Voss; as well as nieces and a nephew. Mike joined CIBC in 1950 and retired in 1989, transferring throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan during his career. Mike enjoyed his volunteer work at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and with the CIBC Senior Senators. Mike belonged to the Senior Golf at Flowing Springs and curled with Wheat City Seniors Club. He will be truly missed. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Tank officiating. Interment at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK S4S 4N5 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Regina Chapter, 1545C McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6H4. Paul Leduchowski
August 27, 1930 - March 17, 2005

LEDUCHOWSKI - Paul, 74 passed away peacefully on March 17, 2005 with his family by his side. Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife Myrtle of 49 years; his sons: Patrick and Glen; his daughters: Kathy and Louise (Mike) Mallett. He will be missed dearly by his 3 loving grandchildren: Darbee, Christopher and Kylie. Paul is survived by his siblings: Joe (Helen), Kay (John) Petrick, Ken, George (Laura), Dan and Gloria, as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Anna, brothers: John, Harry (Hattie), Steve, Mike, Alex; by his sister, Mary (Mike) Martynuik, and nephews: Gary and Clayton Petrick. Paul enjoyed a 30-year career in the Hotel business in Broadview, Esterhazy, Moosomin, Swift Current, Moose Jaw and Regina. Paul loved the hotel business and the many people he met throughout his 30-year career. Paul was also a sports fan, particularly of baseball. Paul was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the 1952-59 Chatfield Cardinals. Special thanks to the staff of Regina Palliative Care, Regina, and to Dr. Morris for providing wonderful care and support to Paul. A FUNERAL SERVICE will take place in Manitoba at a later date. THACYK - Ann Marjorie late of Regina passed away at the age of 90 years on Thursday March 17, 2005. Predeceased by her brothers Mike and Joe (Doreen); brother-in-law Herman Vossen Sr.; sister-in-law Ella. Ann will be fondly remembered by her loving family, son Bill (Linda) and their children Jennifer and Mark (Shelia); great granddaughter Alexa; Sisters: Marie Vossen, Sister Pauline; brother Peter, as well as other family and friends. WINGERT – Andrew formerly of Craven, SK, peacefully fell asleep surrounded by family on Monday morning, March 14, 2005, reuniting with Martha, his beloved wife of 61 years. Having lived, worked, loved and laughed for 87 years, “Grandpa-up-the-hill” leaves many friends and family members to remember him. Andy was predeceased by his parents: Andrew and Katherine Wingert; brothers: Frank and Alfred Wingert; and grandsons: Bradley and Trent Coulling. He is survived by his son, Ken (Isabel) Wingert; daughters: Marlene (Keith) Downie and Linda (Pat George) Coulling. He will be missed by grandchildren: Steve (Keri) Wingert, Earl (Stacey) Wingert, Holly (Ron) Downie, Keegan Downie, Andrea, Nathan and Amy (Clark) Coulling, his great-grandchildren: Jesse, Brittany, Ethan, Brett, Zachary and Taylor, special son-in-law, Barry Coulling; brother, Leo (Bunny); sister, Anna; sisters-in-law: Marian and Faye Wingert, and Gertie Leippi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital. John Rae McTavish

John Rae McTavish April 12, 1921 – February 13, 2005 Rae passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Regina General Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife Pearl; parents Peter and Jean McTavish; brother Archie; sister Daphne. His memory will be cherished by his loving daughters Heather (Gord) Russell, Bonnie (Lawrence) Morrison; his much loved grandchildren Courtenay (Sheldon), Ian; great grandchildren Kianas Rae, Kaleigha, and Kaelen. Rae was a fire fighter for 38 years, achieving the rank of Battalion Chief in the Regina Fire Department. Rae also served in the Navy during WWII. He stayed active by going to the YMCA and walking his dogs. Rae was a quiet, gentle, and kind man who will be sadly missed, but remembered by his family. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of 5F, Dr. Smith, and Dr. Bester for their kindness and care. At Rae’s request a GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy # 1 East, Regina on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. A RECEPTION will follow at Regina Funeral Home. Christine Rose Kennedy

KENNEDY – Christine Rose passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Christine was predeceased by her loving husband, Laurie in 1981. She is survived by her sons Jack (Gay), Ray (Karol) and Bill (Sandi); three sisters; four brothers; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all her family & friends. George Francis Maier

MAIER George Francis passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on February 10, 2005 at the age of 82 years. George was born on March 31, 1922 in Regina to John and Mary Maier (Passler). George was predeceased by his parents: John and Mary, sister: Louise Bourassa; and sisters-in-law: Agnes and Mary. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kathleen; son: Michael Murray (Eileen--Erin, Kelli); daughter: Nancy Kathleen (Todd) Hochban; two grandchildren: Devin and Jenna; step-grandchildren: Annette, Adam (Sun) and their son Eathan, Matthew, Andrew and Tasha; brothers: John, Art (Erika), Gerry, Len (Sylvia) and Al (Joan); sister: Loretta (Roy) Morrissey. In 1948, George married his loving wife, Kathleen “Keen” (nee Skelton). In 1940, George joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and became a pilot with the 422 Squadron, where he earned the rank of Flight Lieutenant. Upon returning from the Services, he worked for J.M. Sinclair in Regina, SK and Winnipeg, MB. In 1953, George returned to Regina and formed Dumar Equipment in partnership with Mr. M. Deausy. In his later years, he worked for C.I.D.A. and Degelman Equipment of Regina. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St. Martin’s Roman Catholic Church, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, SK, on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to the Saskatchewan Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, RUH, Box 102, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W8. Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306-789-8850).
