LAMB - David Robert died in his sleep on December 12, 1997 at home. He was predeceased by his father Robert and his nephew Rob. He will be lovingly remembered by Penny; his mother Betty; his sister Marian (Rupert); niece Gillian; and many other family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1130 Jervis Street, Vancouver, on Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. Service to be conducted by Rev. Neil Gray. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, B.C. Branch, 201 - 1669 West 3 Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V6J 1K1. KEARNEY FUNERAL HOME. (12/17/1997).

LAMBE - Jean Lambe, beloved wife of Joe Lambe, passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane on Sunday, June 22, 1997 at the age of 80 years. Along with her husband, Jean is survived by her daughter Vicky (Richard) Savage; and her three grandchildren, Ryan, Breanne, and Gavin. A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at the Bethany Care Centre, 302 Quigley Street, West Valley Cochrane, on Tuesday, June 24, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. with the Reverend Derek Dunwood officiating. Funeral arrangements and Cremation in care of COCHRANE FUNERAL SERVICE. (6/24/1997).

LAMBERT - Gordon Robert passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer in Calgary on October 14, 1997 at the age of 68 years. Gordon joined the RCAF in 1947 and served until 1976. He then joined the civil service until his retirement at age sixty. Gordon was a very proud and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 264. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Gary and his wife Mary, and their daughter Fionna; his daughter Annette Sephton and her husband Bob, and their children, Cara, Drew, and Elliott. Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife Inga. Those wishing to pay their respects, may do so at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES "Garden Chapel", 3220 - 4 Street N.W. on Sunday, October 19, 1997 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Foster's Funeral Homes "Garden Chapel" on Monday, October 20, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. R.H.G. Rodgers officiating. Interment to take place later in Ontario. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Research for Prostate Cancer, Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary T2G 1A2. LANCASTER - Mildred A. died peacefully at home in Victoria, December 1, 1997. Predeceased by her husband George. Mildred was born in England, December 31, 1909 and is survived by her son Dan Hickey, daughter-in-law Marie, granddaughters, Shannon and Tasha; and three sisters (12/17/1997).

LANDERYOU - James Bishop (Jim), born January 20, 1908 went to be with his Lord and Savior December 10, 1997 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Marion for sixty-five years; dear father of Lovine Erhardt, Garth (Myrna) Landeryou, Carol (Don) Armstrong, Judi (Jack) Gallagher and Georgie (1935 to 1936); grandfather of twelve; great-grandfather of eleven; brother of Hazel Marshall and Dorothy McPhail. Jim is also survived by many other dear family members. The family wishes to thank Unit 32 nursing staff at the Foothills Hospital for their loving care during his last few days, and the staff at the Bethany Care Centre (Cochrane) for their wonderful care over the last few years. Private family Service and Interment will be held on Saturday, December 13, 1997 at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY and FUNERAL HOME. Flowers are gratefully declined. (12/12/1997).

LANDINE - Mr. Wilfred George Landine, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Landine of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on November 11, 1997 at the age of 81 years. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells" (2720 Centre Street North), today, November 14, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. E. Hugh Christmas of the Anglican Church of Canada officiating. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. In living memory of Wilfred Landine, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Chapel of the Bells", 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH. (11/14/1997).

LANE - Mayme Evangeline Lane (nee Taevere) of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away at home on November 25, 1997, following a long illness. Born in Carbon, Alberta on April 20, 1928, and raised in Vulcan, Alberta, she enjoyed a varied career and diverse interests. Her sage advice and loving presence will be sorely missed by her children, David Pocock of Calgary, Alberta, Linda Grant and her husband David of Golden, B.C., and Janet Hird and her husband Bob of Calgary. Killasandra-Lee and Erin-Lynn Pocock of Red Deer, Alberta, and Derrick and Douglas Grant of Golden, B.C., will also miss their loving "Granny Lane". A Celebration of her Life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church (128 - 1 Street East), Cochrane, Alberta, on Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Donald E. Koots officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, (Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2G 1A2). Arrangements in care of COCHRANE FUNERAL SERVICES, Cochrane, Alberta. (12/2/1997).

LANG - William (Bill) John Lang, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away at the Bow View Manor on November 3, 1997 at the age of 87 years. Bill was born on May 9, 1910 in Quinton, Saskatchewan, and moved to Calgary in 1962, where he tuned pianos and played violin with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra until his retirement. Bill had an enduring love for music and God. Bill is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie and Kathy Lang of Red Deer, and Glenn and Harriet Lang of Calgary, Alberta; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Ed Luca of Calgary, Alberta and Julie Chernoff and Tim Pilkey of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is also survived by three sisters, Millie, Elsie and Martha; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells" (2720 Centre Street North), today, November 7, 1997 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Dave Meyers of Northwest Victory Church officiating. Graveside Service to follow in the "Field of Honor" at Queen's Park Cemetery. In living memory of Bill Lang, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, "Chapel of the Bells", 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH. (11/7/1997).
