Always a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who had a wonderful zest for life, gardening, cooking, playing cards, board games and crossword puzzles and was game for anything life had to offer. She always welcomed everyone into her home, loved to laugh, smile and tell stories. She is survived by five children, Betty Walsh, Edmonton, Glen Whitton, Victoria, B.C., Rev. Ray Whitton, U.S.A., Norma Miles, U.S.A., and Pat Santa, Edmonton; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held at Park Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 29 officiated by Rev. Ray Whitton. "I love you and I'll miss you. BOUCHARD -- Victor Bouchard passed away in Drumheller, AB on October 31, 1997 at the age of 89 years. Victor was born in Weyburn, SK on July 2, 1908. He is survived by his children, his son Frank (Marie) and their family, Chad, Charmaine (Brad), great-grandchildren, Blair and Taylor, all of Calgary; his daughter Joan (Joe) Calpas of Drumheller, AB and their family, Jim (Janet) of Brooks, AB, Dean of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and Kevin of Drumheller; his son Dave (Geri) and their family, Michael (Heather), Robert (Yvonne) of Victoria, B.C. and Nicole of Calgary; his son Dale (Vi) and their family, Darren, Melissa (Rick) of Calgary. Prayers will be held from St. Anthony's Catholic Church (151 - 3 Street West, Drumheller, AB) on Monday, November 3, 1997 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 4, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. EDINGER -- Rolf Edinger passed away peacefully in Calgary on October 30, 1997 at the age of 71 years. Rolf will be sadly missed by his wife Maya. He was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Rolf had a passion and love for skiing. GLADWYN -- Joyce Enid. It is with the most profound sense of loss that the family of Joyce Enid Gladwyn (nee Morris) announce her passing from this earth on November 1, 1997 at the still young age of 72 years. Joyce will be sorely missed by her loving husband Arthur, with whom she spent fifty wonderful years; and by her son Keith; and grandsons, Evan, Nigel and Graeme. She also leaves behind her brothers, John (Jannette) Sparks of Calgary, and Kenneth (Glenis) Morris of Nottingham, England; as well as sister-in-law Beryl (Doug) Dance of Malvern, Worcester, England. Joyce was born in Birmingham, England on February 11, 1925 and went to her final rest peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Joyce had a special love for life that was contagious to all of those who had the privilege to know her. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderfully caring staff of the Agape Manor Hospice. MAMRAK -- Pearl Mamrak, beloved wife of Mr. Anthony Mamrak of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on October 31, 1997, at the age of 70 years. She is the loving mother of Mary-Ann Payne of Slave Lake, Alberta, Deborah Mamrak of Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Thomas Mamrak of Calgary. Pearl is also survived by her ten loving grandchildren, and by her sister Louise Voter of Milo, Alberta. She is predeceased by her two brothers, John and Ernest. McLEOD -- Ethel Elizabeth McLeod passed away at the Foothills Hospital on October 31, 1997 at the age of 70 years. Ethel is survived by her children, Bill and his wife Sharon, Blaine and his wife Lynn, Brenda and her husband Bob, and Lyle and his wife Kirsten; and grandchildren, Heather, Stephen, Scot, Christopher, Alison and Callum. She is also survived by her sister Isabel, and brothers, Blake and Jim. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Earl. Ethel was born in Langham, Saskatchewan and has resided in Calgary since 1971. PERMANN -- Lucille Permann, beloved wife of Mr. Ben Permann of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed on November 1, 1997, at the age of 67 years. She is the loving mother of Sandra (Doug) Saunders of Airdrie, AB and Barry (Marilyn) Permann of Calgary. Her five grandchildren, Carly, Jennifer, Lindsay, Brock and Dana. STEPHEN -- James H., born November 16, 1911 in Innisfail, Alberta, died peacefully at home on October 27, 1997. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Margaret; stepson Fred, wife Joanne, and very special grandson James Albert; also his brother Jack, wife June and his family; brother-in-law Hank and Niela Alexander and family of Kamloops. Jim spent forty-four years employed by the Royal Bank in the three western provinces and served overseas with the Canadian Artillery. There will be no Service at Jim's request. TANCU -- Mr. Gheorghe (George) Tancu of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Bow Crest Nursing Home on Saturday, November 1, 1997 at the age of 92 years. George was born on June 16, 1905 in Kishinew. He held a M.Sc. in Finance and a Ph.D. in Law. He resided in Kishinew, Bucharest, and Calgary. George is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Ana; his loving daughter Elena Tzanco; two nephews, Alex Betiu and his wife Ellen along with their daughters, Christina and Andreea, and Michael Betiu all of Calgary.
