She was the proud mother of five sons, Randy (Georgene), Jamie (Kathleen), David, Ken (Karin),and Barry.
She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Rachel, David, Michael, Julie; as well as her sister, Patricia (Rudy) and brother, Bob.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert; parents, Mary and Eric Chown; and sisters, Mary Ruth and Alleen.
Nancy cherished family and treasured friends.
Her home was her haven for peace and tranquility, and she was not fond of hospitals.
Happy years at the family lake cottage at Pigeon Lake gave her many valued memories.
Her friends and the "Arty Group" were a favorite source of support and inspiration.
The Newcomers Club became her extended family after she moved to Victoria in 1987.
She was a strong willed person with an affection for dry humor and a warmth she shared with those who knew her best.
A memorial service and celebration of her life is being held on Monday, December 18th, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mood Disorders Association of B.C. (201-2730 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, B.C. V5N 5P4) would be gratefully appreciated.
HENNIG, Mary On Tuesday, December 12, 2000, Mary Hennig, formerly of Golden Spike, passed away at the age of 84 years in the Devon Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carole (Robert) Lapointe, Dennis (Lorraine), Randy (Lois) all of Spruce Grove; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Emma Adams; and numerous other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1994.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Golden Spike with Pastor Len Stengel officiating.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

HILLIAM, William (Bill) On Monday, December 11th, 2000 Mr. William (Bill) Hilliam of Flatbush, Alberta passed away at the age of 93 years.
He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Cook of Manitoba and Ellen Smith of Manitoba; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2000 in the Flatbush Complex at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dawson Beaver officiating with interment in the Flatbush Cemetery.

KETLER, David On December 10, 2000 David Ketler of Bon Accord passed away at age 66 years.
David was predeceased by his wife, Frances in October 1997; and is survived by his son, Neil (Debbie) of Edmonton; his daughter, Laurie (Rob) of Grande Prairie; six grandchildren, Jackie, Michelle, Vick, Patti, Cheryl and Jason.
David also leaves three brothers, Jacob (Margaret) Ketler of Edmonton, Henry (Nettie) Ketler of Edmonton and Peter Ketler of Clearbrook, B.C.; four sisters, Anne (George) Warkentin of Clearbrook, B.C., Eva Kamke of Libau, Manitoba, Claire Siemens of Leduc, AB and Betty (Jack) Schonewille of Coquitlam, B.C.; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at People's Church, 15641-96 Avenue, Edmonton at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2000 with Pastors Bob Millman and Al Nordstrom officiating.
A private interment will follow at a later date.

LaBRASH, Ivy Margaret On December 13, 2000, Ivy Margaret LaBrash of St. Albert, formerly of Saskatoon, passed away at the age of 83 years.
Ivy leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Rick and his wife, Joanne; two grandchildren, Andrew and Madelaine, all of St. Albert; niece, Audrey and nephew, Ray Ahenakew; also numerous other family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Terry in 1992; brother, Bud Isbister; sister, Dorothy Ahenakew and nephew, Melvin Ahenakew.

LANGFORD, Christi Lynn On Wednesday, December 13, 2000, Mrs. Christi Langford (nee Davis) of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 33 years.
Christi is survived by her husband, Les; three sons, Chad, Erik and Brandon; and one daughters, Jaime-Lyn; two brothers, Lorne (Toni) and Arnold (Joanne); her parents, Shirley and Ron Pickrell; her mother-in-law, Sonia Langford; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lora and George Samaha. Christi also leaves behind her many very special nieces and nephews.
Christi was predeceased by her father, Glen Davis and her grandparents, Emily and Douglas Yonge; and Clarence and Rita Davis.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton.

LICKACZ, Pamela Dale (Roop) On December 11, 2000 Pamela Dale Lickacz of Thorsby passed away at the age of 36 years.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Roger Lickacz; her father, David (Glenda) Roop; her mother, Delores Roop; her mother-in-law, Stella Lickacz; one brother, Derrick (Cheryl) Roop and family; and also by numerous relatives and friends.
