Dennis Wesley Antosh of Calgary, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Oct. 28, 1998 at the age of 43 years. Dennis is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 19 years; five children, Derek, Jennifer, Mavis, Laura and Gail; mother, Kathleen; two sisters, Dalphine (Jim) Hanson and their children Shane and Lisa, and Donna (Doug) Rothfus and their daughters Cherie, Cathy and Crystal. He is also survived by his beloved in-laws and numerous other relatives and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his father Wesley Antosh.
A celebration of Dennis' life was held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 200 Woodgate Rd., Okotoks on Monday, Nov. 2, 1998 at 1 pm. The Rev. Johnson Charles officiated the service. Elaine Marie McNeely
Elaine Marie McNeely of Okotoks passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on November 16, 1998 at the age of 62 years.
Elaine was born in Calgary on December 7, 1935. She is survived by her two loving sons, John David McNeely and Stanley Peter McNeely, as well as her mother Alice Jean Aldrich, all of Okotoks.
A memorial service was held on Monday, November 23, 1998 at 2 pm at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, Okotoks. Ms. Marilyn Evans was the officiating minister.

Richard Arthur Roberts, LdSH (RC), PPCLI
Richard Arthur Roberts of Valleyview Acres (west of DeWinton), passed away at the High River Hospital and Nursing Home on February 24, 1999 at the age of 83 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Wayne and Barrie; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. Roberts served in the Canadian Army from 1937-1963 in both the PPCLI and LdSH (RC) regiments. Upon retirement from the army he entered into a career of rural real estate which eventually led to the formation of his own real estate company, Troy Real Estate. He was very proud of both of his careers, but was especially fond of the lifelong friendships he had with his army comrades.
A memorial service was held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 200 Woodgate Road, Okotoks on Saturday, February 27, 1999 at 1 pm. The Reverend Hugh Christmas officiated the service. Dr. William John MacDonald
Dr. William John MacDonald of Okotoks passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, Nov. 20, 1998 after a brief illness at the age of 79 years.
Besides his loving wife, Coral of 50 years, he is also survived by four children, one daughter-in-law, one sister-in-law, 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
W.J. graduated from Medicine at the University of Alberta in 1945. He later took special training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; returning to Calgary to continue his practice at the Holy Cross Hospital, where he was chief of surgery for 16 of his 45-year career. W.J. also commuted weekly to High River General Hospital over the past 30 years to perform surgery and as well was a life member of the American College of Chest Physicians. He was an extraordinary surgeon who devoted his life and skill to helping others. W.J. will be fondly remembered by his family, colleagues, patients and many friends, as a kind, caring man who touched many lives.

Mary Rest
Mrs. Mary Rest passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Oilfields General Hospital, Black Diamond on January 15, 1999 at the age of 85 years.
She is survived by her three sons, Arthur, George and Jim; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her husband Art in 1971.

Mildred Moon
Mrs. Mildred Moon, of Hartell, passed away at the Oilfields Hospital, Black Diamond on Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her sons, Andrew Moon, Hartell and Terrence (Anne) Moon, Naptha; her grandchildren, Pamela (John) Wold, Colin (Marlene) Moon and Ian Moon; and her great-granddaughter Rhiannon Wold. She is also survived by her sister Ester Christiansen in Denmark and her brother Harold (Dorothy) Larsen, Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Moon on May 28, 1966, her sons David Moon in 1958 and her brothers, Norman Larsen in 1976 and Alvin Larsen overseas during WW II, as well as her parents, Christen and Metta Larsen.
She was born at Bingville, Alta., what is now part of the Suffield Station, on March 6, 1918. After her marriage to Harold Bevis Moon, they owned the Monarch Ranch, south of Buffalo, Alta. before moving to Crossfield where they owned and operated a general store during the early 1940s. In 1946 they sold their store at Crossfield and came to Hartell where they operated Moon's General Store from 1946 until the present time.

Agnes Herman
Mrs. Agnes Herman, of Carmangay, Alta., formerly of Black Diamond, passed away at the Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital, Carmangay on Jan. 9, 1999 at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her sons, James Herman, Scotch Creek, BC and Arthur (Correen) Herman, Caesarea, Ont., five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as her niece Jean (Robert) Hedley, Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Ole Herman on Aug. 1, 1980 and her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Herman.
Graveside services were held at Okotoks Union Cemetery on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999 at 1 pm. The Rev. Art Siemens of the Gospel Chapel, Black Diamond officiated. Snodgrass Funeral Homes Ltd. (938-3111, 652-2222) directors.
Maurice Baldwin Ardiel
Mr. Maurice Baldwin Ardiel, of Okotoks, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on April 1, 1999 at the age of 85 years.
Maurice is survived by his sons, Leonard and Joan of Sundre, Gary and Anne of Oliver, B.C.; his daughter Marlene Ardiel of Canmore; his grandchildren, Wayne, Michelle, Nicole, Mark, Christie and Dawn; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Victoria and Julian; as well as his faithful companion 'Perky.' Maurice was predeceased by his wife, Irma Elizabeth on March 31, 1990.
Maurice was born, raised and spent most of his life in Okotoks, except for three years spent in Grande Prairie working in weather service. He was an active member of the community, belonging to several service clubs including the Elks, Lions and Corinthian Masonic Lodge. He also served for countless years as the secretary for the Town of Okotoks, several Rural Mutual Tele-phone companies, St. Peter's Anglican Church, the Okotoks Oilers Hockey Club, the Okotoks-DeWinton Electri-fication Association, the initial Okotoks Investment Club and the Okotoks School District. In 1979, Maurice was acknowledged by the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of outstanding citizenship and contribution to the business community. He owned and operated an insurance business, Ardiel Agencies for 30 years until his retirement in 1978. Over these years he also served the community as a Notary Public and Justice of the Peace.
Services were held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 200 Woodgate Rd., Okotoks on Monday, April 5, 1999 at 1 pm. Interment of the urn followed at Okotoks Union Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Irene Thomson
Mrs. Irene Thomson, of Okotoks, formerly of Toronto, passed away quietly at her home on July 31, 1998 at the age of 78 years. Irene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George. Mrs. Thomson is also survived by her children, George Jr. (Shyrlie) of Okotoks and Wendy (Gary) Rhodes of Calgary; grandchildren, Bill, Dana, Tiffany, Keridawn and Mark and their families; sister, Ivy of Toronto; brother, Stan of Leamington, Ontario; and sister-in-law Nancy of Toronto, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Laura Norma Luider
Mrs. Laura Norma Luider, of Calgary, passed away at the High River Hospital on Aug. 6, 1998 at the age of 66 years.
Laura will be deeply missed by her children; Marlanda (Frank) Fisher and their son, Ryan of Okotoks, Doug (Kerry) and their family of Calgary, George (Connie) of Calgary, Marjorie Webber of Chilliwack, BC, Dennis Folstrom of Calgary and Michael of Calgary; long-time companion David Davidson of Calgary; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters. Laura was predeceased by her husband Henry on May 28, 1974.
Laura was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her laughter will be missed by all.
