On April 24, 2002, Mrs. Yvonne Montgomery of Dabb, AB passed away at the age of 71 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Jack and their children Sandi Montgomery (Mac), Pat (Linda) Mont-gomery, Michael (Edie) Mont-gomery, David (Val) Mont-gomery and Shelly (Ken) Dykhuizen; 11 grandchildren, Rocky (Crystal), Brooke, Ariana, Derek, Mallory, Jonathan, Dustin, Matthew, Lamontt, Jordyn and Samantha; two great grandchildren Brayden and Robert; one sister-in-law Glenny Hodgkins of Black Diamond as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Gordie Hodgkins, one brother Freddie and one son Rocky.
A funeral mass was held on Monday, April 29, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the St. Finnans Roman Chatholic Church in Dapp, AB with Father Walter Laliberty officiating.
Cremation.

H. Margaret Clewes
H. Margaret Clewes passed away at the High River Hospital and Nursing Home on March 18th, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
She leaves to mourn her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Marion Clewes and niece, Debbie, all of Okotoks and her nephew Bill and his wife Lisa and their sons Logan and Hayden of Saskatoon, SK.
Margaret was predeceased by her mother and father Sarah and Frank Clewes of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Margaret trained as a nurse in Saskatchewan and dedicated her life to nursing.
She was Director of Nursing in Orangeville, Ontario and later, Director of Nursing at Grande Prairie Hospital.
Margaret was a very, very caring, kind individual and many a person, she helped along her life’s journey.
We will miss you, Margaret, and we love you.

Margaret Julia Southgate 1955-2002
Margaret died, while asleep, in the early hours of March 14 at the High River Hospital after suffering many years of poor health.
Margaret will join her beloved Dad, Otto Fleck, in that “better place” as well as her esteemed mother and father-in-law, Cecile and Ernie Southgate, grandparents Mary and Adam Gibson and Julia and Christ Fleck.
Margaret leaves to mourn her dearly loved children Christopher of Edmonton, AB and Nicole (Chris) Coles of Leduc, AB, and father of her children, Charles Southgate, Edmonton, AB.
She leaves her adored grandchildren, Hayleigh, Lana and Hunter Coles of Leduc, AB as well as her devoted sisters Kathy Fleck, Vancouver and Mary (Lyle) Robinson of Okotoks AB and niece Pamela of Vancouver, her loving mother Madeleine Fleck, Okotoks and her dearest friend Stuart Robbins, High River, as well as numerous dear friends and relatives.
Snodgrass Funeral Home was in charge of cremation.
A ‘Gathering”, to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at the Elks Hall, Main Street, Okotoks, on Friday, May 3 from 2 to 5 pm.
May Hop
Mrs. May Hop of Okotoks passed away at the High River Hospital on March 21, 2002 at the age of 80 years.
She is survived by her daughters; Ann (Dale) Howes, Okotoks; Ingrid (Reg) Papp, Spruce Grove, AB; Linda (Michael) Mattson, Okotoks and her grandchildren Tony Howes, Danny and Mandy Papp, Sarah Wilson and Kristopher Mattson.
She is also survived by one sister Antje van der Horn of Holland.
May was predeceased by her husband Jakob Hop on November 1, 1995.
A funeral service will be held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 200 Woodgate Rd., Okotoks on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at 2 pm.
An interment service will follow at Okotoks Union Cemetery.

Jessie Hemus
Mrs. Jessie Hemus of High River passed away at the High River Hospital and Nursing Home on May 2, 2000 at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Cy and Linda Hemus, Revelstoke; Don and Barbara Hemus, Okotoks; her daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Ray Hill, Cochrane and by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband Humphrey Hemus on January 11, 1982 and by three sisters and two brothers.
Jessie was born at Calgary, Alberta on September 6, 1909 to her parents John and Mary Kromm.
She was married to Humphrey Hemus in 1931 and continue to live in the Oilfields area.
Jessie will be remembered for her hospitality to family and friends as she loved to cook and entertain.
She was an avid gardener and she willingly shared the fruits of her labor with those around her.
The church and community played a large role in Jessie's life and she was always there to support both in any way possible.
A funeral service was held at the Gospel Chapel, Black Diamond on Saturday, May 6, 2000 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Art Siemans officiating.
An interment service followed at Foothills Cemetery, Black Diamond.

Olaf K. Jacobson
Mr. Olaf K. Jacobson passed away peacefully at his home in High River on May 11, 2000.
Born in Denmark on August 15, 1908, Olaf immigrated to Canada in April of 1929.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia, his children, grandchildren and other family members and friends who were dear to him.
He is also survived by a sister, nieces, nephews and cousins in Denmark.
Olaf was predeceased by his son Glen Alan in 1975 and a grandson Donald in 1993.
To respect Olaf's wishes there will be no funeral service held.
A private family inurnment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Calgary, Alberta.
Cremation was in care of Parklawn Crematorium, High River.

Hermann Kastner
Mr. Hermann Kastner, beloved husband of Frieda Kastner of Turner Valley, passed away at Oilfields General Hospital on May 8, 2000 at the age of 86 years.
Besides his loving wife, Hermann is also survived by his daughter, Elke Harink, sons, Herman (Marlene) Kastner and Uwe (Irma) Kastner; grandchildren, Terry (Angie) Harink, Rhea (Colin) Simpson, Darryl (Lorrie) Kastner, Kevin (Piera) Kastner, Karla Kastner and Michael Kastner.
He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Robbie and Kristen Harink, David and Kaden Simpson, Braeden, Matthew and Marco Kastner; one sister, Mary Ruprecht, one brother Willi Kastner and numerous other relatives.
Hermann was born in Bukarest, Romania on February 5, 1914.
He served for 12 years with the German Navy as a Steam Engineer.
He married his beloved wife Frieda on September 23, 1939.
The couple immigrated to Canada in June of 1957 and resided in Coaldale for 36 years before moving to Calgary in 1993.
In 1997 Hermann and Frieda moved to their home on the Turner Valley Golf Course.
Hermann will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Funeral Services were held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, High River on Thursday May 11, 2000 at 2 pm.
Pastor Earle Schartner officiated the service.

Kevin Parkhouse
Kevin J. Parkhouse, age 40, of Okotoks (K.P. Renovations), passed away suddenly doing what he loved, playing racquetball.
Adored husband of Shelley and dearly loved dad of Justin and Jeremy.
Beloved son of Angela and Tony, dear brother of Nicki and Karen and a greatly loved 'Uncle Kev' and dear brother-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
