MERNA D. FLEITMAN
1939-2006
Merna Fleitman of Okotoks passed away suddenly at her home in Okotoks on December 7, 2006 at the age of 67 years.
Merna’s caring presence will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Jim; her sisters Lil Norton, Marj Rusten (Ray), Jan Bates (Tom); her brother Dennis Feldburg (Shirley); her nephews Alan Haywood (Shelley, Alison); by the extended Fleitman family; along with many friends and relatives.
A viewing will be held on December 13, 2006 between 6-8 p.m. at Snodgrass Funeral Home (Okotoks).
In memory of Merna a memorial service will be held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel in Okotoks, 200 Woodgate Road at 1 p.m. on December 14, 2006.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455-110th Avenue S.E. Calgary, Alberta T2C 2T7 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Calgary, 200- 119 14th Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6.

DORIS MCINNIS
Doris McInnis passed away in the Southwood Hospice, Calgary, December 6, 2006.
Doris was born February 18, 1916 in Carrot Creek, Alberta.
She has lived in Turner Valley since 1938.
Doris is survived by her son Tom (Marg), Vernon, B.C.; Carolyn, Powell River, B. C.; stepson Bert, Ottawa, Ont.; sister Pauline, Summerland, B.C.; sister Marge (Jack) Penticton, B.C.; brother Norman (Muriel), Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren Connie, Trisha, Donna, Joyce, Cameron, Dan; step grandchildren Bert, Hugh, Kara; 14 great grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was predeceased by her infant daughter Connie (1940); husbands Charles Wild (1979) and Jim McInnis (2000); brothers Eugene, Harold and Carl; infant grandsons Tim and KJ.
During her years in Turner Valley Doris was an active participant and leader with: Valley Neighbors Club; Turner Valley United Church and the Turner Valley Golf and Country Club.
She will always be remembered for her “hugs”, home cooked meals and her unconditional love towards family and friends.
Her home was always open to anyone who needed a meal, a helping hand or a game of cards.
At Doris’ request there will not be a funeral.

BEVERLEY ANN KUNZ
1946-2006
Beverley Ann Kunz (nee Blazosek) of Okotoks, AB, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006.
Bev was born in Banff, Alberta.
She moved to Calgary and finally to Okotoks.
Bev was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neice and cousin.
She could always bring a smile and her laugh was contagious.
She had a gentle nature and a very soft spot in her heart for those in need.
Bev battled many challenges in her life and still managed to find a happy thought, and look at the bright side.
Her spirit will live with us, and in our hearts she will be deeply missed.
Bev will be welcomed to heaven by her parents Robert and Helena Blazosek, and her granddaughter Julieanna Faith Coreman.
Bev is survived by her sons James (Cindy), Robbie (Cory), Kenneth; and her daughter, Anna (Ken) Coreman; and by her granddaughters Michelle and Lindsey Kunz, Jordan, Tessa and Abbigale Kunz, and Megan and Ashley Coreman.
Friends and relatives are invited to Funeral Mass at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (206 9 Ave. S.W., High River), on Wednesday Dec. 13, 2006.

MARTHA-LOU (KAMPMAN) NYHUS
JULY 18, 1923 - DECEMBER 11, 2006
Lou passed away at Claresholm General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter in March, 1986.
Lou is survived by her children Linda; Glen (Trudy), Paulette, Perry and Gale, all of Okotoks.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be held Friday, December 15, 7 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church, with the memorial service Saturday December 16, 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Black Diamond.
KATHLEEN BERTHA JEFFERY
1917 - 2007
Kathleen (Kay) B. Jeffery passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital, on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at the age of 89 years.
Kay was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who was always supportive of her family.
She was a remarkable person.
We love her dearly and will miss her. She was fortunate to have many good friends, some of whom she had the pleasure of knowing most of her life, from her days growing up at the ranch in Millarville and her early years in Calgary.
She was predeceased by her husband Bern; parents Jennie Louise and Carlton James King; sister Helen Kelly; brother Russell King; and nephew Fred Kelly.
Kay is survived by her son Keith (Krisanna) and his sons Ben and Jon; son Ken (Marilyn) and their children Lora and Graham; niece Carol Johnson; nephew Bob Kelly, and their families; nephew Alan King; Fred Kelly’s family; and her extended family Wendy White, Simon Daniells and Alyssa Goad.

CEC COULTRY
JANUARY 30, 1913 - JANUARY 23, 2007
Cec passed away peacefully at his home in Powell River.
He leaves behind to love, honour and remember him, his wife of 68 years, Rosemary, aka “Frankie”, three children, Sharon (Dale), Gaye (Ken) and Butch (Hugette), six grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren and his wonderful crib partner Hugo.
Dad was blessed with a full life and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, kindness to others, and for his love of sharing a story or joke.
Cec was a honest, hardworking man who loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren immensely.
A service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 26 at Stubberfield Funeral Home, 7221 Duncan Street.
Following the service a reception to celebrate Cec’s life was held at the Powell River Lawn Bowling Club, 5714 Marine Avenue in Townsite.
