Suddenly with his family by his side on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, Jim Logan passed away at the age of 69 years, beloved husband of Jeanette Logan of Leduc. Besides his loving wife of 49 years Jeanette, he leaves to cherish his memory daughters Dawn (Trevor) Logan and children Jordan, Jerick and Justin; and Shauna (Kim) Hedin. Leonard Seabrook passed away after a brief illness. Len was born to Leonard and Alice Seabrook in Grandforks B.C. on December 12, 1925. Len is survived by his children: Ray (Sue), Keith (Susan), Brenda (Jamie), Warren, Carmen, Dinah (Rory) and Heather (Rob); the mother of the children Thelma Seabrook; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers: John (Diane) and Ralph (Joan), sisters-in-law: Eileen and Maime; numerous nieces and nephews. Len was predeceased by his parents: Leonard and Alice and siblings: George, Kenneth, Ivy, Freda, Rueben, Mona and Rhoda. At the request of Len there will be no formal memorial or funeral service held. A private family gathering will be held to Celebrate his Life.

On April 19, 2011 Frederick Clive Manwaring passed away at the age of 82 years. HARDING, Keith Evan

Keith Evan Harding of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the age of 65 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen (Wilde) and four children: Rebecca (Michael Orr), Lori (Michael Landry), Nancy (Jason Lee) and Darin (Diandra Bowden). He also leaves behind a legacy of twelve grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers and one sister: Blaine (Martha), Joan (George Taylor), Glenn (Loyia), and David (Gail). He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Jennie (Johnson) Harding, his brother, James (Jim) and his sister, Brenda (Peoples). Keith was born and raised in Taber on the family farm. As a young man he served a mission to Tahiti where he grew to love the French Polynesian people. He attended Brigham Young University obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering and later a Master’s Degree in Engineering Administration from the University of Utah. He was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked in lighting design and physical facility management for 32 years caring for church buildings and temples across Canada. Within his community, he organized and coordinated the Parkland Community Basketball League and devoted many hours of service in various capacities of scouting and leadership in the LDS Church. Keith was known as a man of faith and integrity who quietly went about doing good. His sense of humor made everyone around him feel at ease. His greatest joy was his family. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with a Viewing preceding from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 McLeod Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB. Burial will take place the following day, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Taber, AB with a Graveside Service at 4:00 p.m. A special thank you is extended to the doctors and staff of the Ultrasound Department and Liver Clinic at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their attentive care and support.
Farrar, Kenneth (Ken) Lloyd
On Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Leduc Hospital, Ken Farrar aged 67 years beloved husband of Barbara passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Barbara of 45 years, family Darlene (Zach), Daryll (Jennifer), grandchildren Ashley, Brandon, Megan and Peter. Also surviving is his mother Alice Farrar. Ken was predeceased by his father Lloyd, his in-laws Mary and Dick Looy and his nephew Lee Pasemko. Ken’s career in aviation included the Canadian Forces and DOT. He was always very proud of what he did, and loved every minute in the air. In addition to flying, Ken’s passion was RVing and his family including his grandchildren enjoyed many adventures together throughout the years. Ken and Barb spent their retirement years as snowbirds meeting new friends from all over the world. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ken’s life and his Final Happy Hour will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at Telford House, 4907 — 46 Street, Leduc. Mr. Jorgen Steen, born in Oslo, Norway November 22, 1913, and long time resident of Edmonton, AB; passed away May 26, 2011 at the age of 97 years. On Friday, May 20, William Mazanek of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at his home at the age of 87 years. Bill is survived by loving family: his daughter Shirley Clark of Langley, B.C., his son Gary of Kelowna, B.C., five grandchildren: Sandy Stuble, Teresa Fontaine, John Fontaine, Angie Fontaine and Shyan Smith, numerous great-grandchildren and Mary Stokes of Kelowna, the mother of his children. As well, he is survived by three sisters: Emma Weremchuk, Marie Loken and Ann Lewis (Elton) and one brother John (Donna). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Joe in 1958, his father Joseph in 1964, his mother Elizabeth in 1997 and his sister Lil in 2000. Bill was born in Kopche, Poland to Czech parents and came to Canada in 1929 at the age of six with his parents and two little sisters where they settled in Saskatchewan. He served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Later he moved to Vancouver where he spent his life working as a carpenter. During his years in Vancouver he also served as a Special Constable with the Vancouver City Police. In 2005, he moved to Edmonton, AB. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
