MR. ALBERT WILLIAM HILLMER of Lethbridge, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the age of 81 years.
Albert is survived by his children Gordon (Shirley), Chris (Noel) of Lethbridge, Connie (Bob) of Nanaimo, B.C., Keith (Tammy) of Rolling Hills and Kathy (Larry) of Vernon, B.C., 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and brother Phillip.
He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie, 3 sons; Rodney, Lloyd and Bruce, granddaughter Amber (Nikki), parents Herman and Maude, sisters Myrtle and Bertha and twin brother Herman.
He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
A Funeral Service will be held at the MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 – 15th Avenue South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Brian Amison officiating.
Interment to follow at the Magrath Cemetery.

JAY HILLMAN

JAY GUY HILLMAN passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife Jo and children; Jay (Sandy), Jon (Kim), Cyd (Jake) and Kate (Sheldon) and grandchildren, cousins Lawrence (Shirley) Black of Stettler, AB, Dale (Vera) Lawrence of Medicine Hat, AB as well as many great friends.
His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. David Stewart and staff at the Family Medical Clinic, the physicians and nurses in the emergency department of the Chinook Regional Hospital, staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic and to the Lethbridge EMS crews for their tremendous care and support to Jay over the last six years.
No service will be held at the family’s request.

FRED HRANAC
1925 - 2008
FRED HRANAC, beloved husband of Mary Hranac, passed away suddenly while golfing at Indian Hill Golf Course on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Mary (nee Hazuda), daughters Beverley (Darin Weinkauf) of Lethbridge and Christine (Brian) Ehnes of Foremost, sons Garry (Rita) of Coaldale and Rick of Coaldale, grandchildren Caitlyn and Shannon Stone, Tyler and Tennille Ehnes and Nolan and Joel Hranac, brother Joe (Laverna) Hranac, sister-in-law Darlene Hranac and brother-in-law George (Helen) Hazuda as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Rex Powell, brother Ed Hranac, niece Starlie Ann Hranac and his parents Frederick and Anna Hranac.
Fred was born in Lethbridge on September 28, 1925. He grew up on the farm in the Readymade and Coaldale area. On May 6, 1953 he married the love of his life Mary and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Fred loved to farm and was involved and active in farming until his passing. For many years, Fred was a director on both the Vegetable Board and Sugar Beet Growers Association.
Fred was an active member of the Indian Hill Golf Association, Readymade 50 Plus Club, The Revellers Club, The Holiday Bowling League as well as a charter member of the Knights of Columbus of Coaldale.
A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.
A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 917 – 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle Celebrant.

STEVE HOYTOS
1933 - 2008
MR. STEVE HOYTOS, beloved husband to Mrs. Margaret Hoytos of Milk River, father of Jim (Christine) Hoytos and grandfather to Steven and Kenneth Hoytos of Valleyview, Alberta, passed away at the Milk River Hospital on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the age of 75 years.
He is survived by his brother Leslie Hoytos of Milk River and also by Margaret’s sisters, brothers and their spouses as well as numerous nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Steve was predeceased by his parents Bert and Helen Hoytos, brother Bert and sister Priscilla Hoytos.
Steve was born on the farm, January 31, 1933. He was the second son of Bert and Helen Hoytos. He attended school at Bankview at 117.
Steve’s greatest moments were spending time on the farm with his wife of 44 years.
In his younger days, he was on the bowling team and also played slow pitch with the 117 Aces. He was a farmer and cattleman all his life and later his passion turned to wood making, making anything with a scroll saw that came to mind with Margaret there by his side to do all the painting.
Steve was always there for his neighbours to lend a hand when needed.
To his grandsons he was “Papa” and they meant the world to him. They spent many days on the farm, hunting gophers and just spending quality time together.
A very special thank you to the nurses on the 4th floor of the Chinook Regional Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit at the Milk River Hospital. You are very special people.

A private family service will be held.

JOSEPH HOFER

MR. JOSEPH D. HOFER, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Susanna Hofer (December 28, 2004) of Ridgeland Colony, Hussar, AB, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the age of 85 years.
He is survived by 3 children; Susie (Paul) Entz, Anna (William) Entz and Joseph Hofer, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren of Alberta, 2 sisters and 1 brother all in Montana.
He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Rene Hofer (November 11, 2007), 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
A Funeral Service will be held at RIDGELAND COLONY, Hussar, AB on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. with interment to follow.

RUSSELL WAYNE HIEB, beloved husband of Belle Hieb of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the age of 61 years.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children; Natasha (Richard) of Brooks, Michelle of Lethbridge, Linda (Greg) of Sooke, B.C. and John (Lynette) of Medicine Hat, grandchildren; Jesse, Luke, Jennifer, Jordan and Shyenne, sisters Janice, Gail and Marlene and brothers Donavan and Randy.
He was predeceased by his mother and father Francis and Alfred Hieb of Claresholm.
Russ was a long haul truck driver with H & R Transport and will be sadly missed by his comrades in the trucking industry.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lukenarr and staff at the Coaldale Campbell Clinic and a very special thanks to “Little Annie”, Doreen and Dorothy.

MARY HAYES
1916 - 2008
MRS. MARY ELIZABETH HAYES, beloved wife of the late Joseph Hayes of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the age of 92 years.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her two sons; William George (Lorraine) Hayes of Lethbridge and Sidney Wayne (Marion) Hayes of Grandview, MB, four granddaughters and nine great grandchildren.
Mary was born on March 3, 1916 in Dauphin, MB to parents Charles Shorland and Emily E. Forester. She was raised in Grandview, MB and after meeting and marrying Joe Hayes on October 22, 1937 they farmed there till 1966. They then moved to Brandon, MB where Joe passed away on March 9, 1970. After her husband’s death, Mary worked until 1983 when she retired to Lethbridge. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Private Family Services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating.
ADRIAN HART
1934 - 2008
ADRIAN HART formerly of Hinton, beloved husband of Hazel Hart, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the age of 74 years.
Adrian will be sadly missed and eternally loved by Hazel, his wife of 54 years, son Lowell (Elizabeth) of Campbell River, B.C., daughter Loya (Kevin De Clercq) of Lethbridge and cherished granddaughter Haylene. He was predeceased by his son Randall in 1969, his parents, four sisters and five brothers.
Adrian was born on January 6, 1934 in Drinnan, Alberta. He was a proud, strong man, who loved his family and home. His love of fishing and the outdoors was only superceded by his priority to provide for his family. Adrian was a well-travelled man who always disliked leaving home but fully enjoyed his travels, friends and life.

DWAINE HARVIE, beloved husband of Hazel Harvie, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 8, 2008 at the age of 75 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Hazel and his children; Arlene (Dan) Driscoll, Dwaila (Rob) Gfrerer, Gerri (Greg) Koskowich, Daryl (Sue) Harvie and Darren (Jana) Harvie. He dearly loved his grandchildren; Stephanie (Peter Holm) and Jennifer Koskowich; Robbie, Jarrid, and Adam Gfrerer; Timothy and Jillian Harvie; and Marcus, Miranda and Clayton Harvie, and his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Austen, Dominic, Mason, Mitchell, and Sophia. Dwaine always felt blessed by his would be sisters, Jean (Henry) Korth and Jackie Egan and the many family and friends that have enriched his life.

MAGGIE HORAK

MARGARET “MAGGIE” HORAK, beloved wife of the late Frank Horak, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the age of 96 years.
She is survived by her children; Edward (Wilma) of Lethbridge and Allen (Pam) of Kelowna, B.C., grandchildren; Ed (Kim), Michael, Trixie (Tom) Sylvester of Kelowna, B.C., Todd (Cindy) of Kelowna, B.C. as well as 6 great grandchildren; Michael & Kiara, Tyler, Alyssa & Arianna and Tiffany. She is also survived by her brother Peter Konanz, sisters Josephine (Ewald) Schramm and Clara Vollmann all of Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank, daughter Lorraine and 11 siblings.
Margaret was born on July 29, 1911 in St. Joseph Colony, Balgonie, Saskatchewan. She married Frank on September 8, 1930 and together they had 3 children. They moved to Kelowna in 1949 where they resided until Frank’s passing in 1989; Margaret moved to Lethbridge until her passing.
A Funeral Service will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 – 13th Street North, Lethbridge on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
Interment to follow at a later date at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Kelowna, B.C.
