INGRAM -- Mr. Robert William (Bob) Ingram, beloved husband of Mrs. Rosalie Ingram of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on January 21, 1998 at the age of 70 years. KOCOWSKY -- Mrs. Eugenia Kocowsky of Calgary, passed away at the Glamorgan Nursing Home on January 21, 1998 at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of Josef; and dear mother of Maria (Bill) Kravec, Martha (Barry) Woods. She is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister Anna (Antin) Hoszowskyj; two nephews, Yurij and Walter Perewernycky. Mrs. Kocowsky was born in Danyliwci, Ukraine and came to Canada in 1949 to Montreal and Calgary in 1985. MACDOUGALL -- Glenholme Lloyd Macdougall, born May 21, 1911, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully at his ranch at Pirmez Creek, Alberta, on January 21, 1998 at the age of 86 years. Having grown up in Calgary, Glen started his career as an insurance agent before signing on with the 15th Canadian Light Horse (Militia) as 2nd Lieutenant in 1935. He entered World War II in June 1940, as part of the Southern Alberta Regiment. Glen traveled the world, serving at various points in Canada, England, Holland, Belgium and Italy. In 1946 he was discharged as Major and upon his return to Canada, joined the Kings Own Calgary Regiment and served with them until 1958. Glen married Audrey Gardner of Pirmez Creek, Alberta, on June 4, 1951 and became actively involved with the ranching community. Although Glen was employed with Royal Insurance until his retirement in 1975, his primary interests were always with the ranch and his animals. He was an active supporter of the 4-H organization and a lifetime member of the Calgary Humane Society. Glen's humour, quick wit and generosity will always be lovingly remembered by his numerous friends near and far. Glen was predeceased by his wife Audrey Helen (Gardner) in 1974, his parents, May Helen Mewburn and Alfred Joseph Glenholme Macdougall. MAGYAR -- Mr. Jozsef Magyar, beloved husband of Helen Magyar of Calgary, passed away suddenly in his home on Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at the age of 65 years. Jozsef is dearly missed by Helen, his only son Joseph, and friends. He is also survived by his sisters, Magdalena Kondrat, and Maria and husband Janos Kondrat; also his brother Laszlo and wife Ilona Magyar, all of Hungary. Jozsef is predeceased by his parents, Jozsef and Maria Magyar of Basko, Hungary. Joe was a quiet man, but when he spoke, his words were kind and carried great wisdom. He was born in Basko, Hungary on February 14, 1932 and came to Canada in 1956, searching for a better life. Joe was a cabinet maker, and the beauty of the things he built brought joy to many. McBAIN -- Kathleen, born January 14, 1913, passed away peacefully on January 20, 1998, at the age of 85 years at Bethany Care Centre, Cochrane, Alberta. Kathleen was born near Cremona and received her education at Dog Pound School. Kathleen then attended Olds College and the University of Alberta. She received her teacher's certificate and taught school in the rural areas of Alberta and British Columbia for twenty-five years. She moved to Cochrane when she retired. Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Molly Turnbull and Frances Ward; brothers, George (Angie) McBain, Mickey (Betty) McBain; numerous nieces and nephews. McWALTER -- William (Bill), beloved husband of Mrs. Audrey McWalter of Calgary, passed away at his home on January 18, 1998 at the age of 54 years. PITT -- Christina Ann Elizabeth (Tine) passed away peacefully at the Sarcee Care Centre on Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at the age of 97 years. Tina was born in Kinosota, Lakeview Unorganized (now Manitoba), on August 2, 1900, the second of ten children born to Ida and Donald McLeod. At the age of seventeen she began working as a comptometer operator in Eaton's Mail Order in Winnipeg and at twenty-two married Arthur, who predeceased her in January 1991, one month before their Sixty-Ninth Wedding Anniversary. Tine is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Eileen and her husband Vernon Stearns; granddaughter Linda of Brooks; grandson Arthur (Melanie) of Calgary; and a great-grandson Lyle. She is also survived by a sister Jessie O'Keefe of Vancouver and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sarcee Care Centre Chapel, 3504 - 29 Street S.W. with Sister Elizabeth Lynch and Reverend Arnie Chamberlain officiating. QUARRIE -- Mrs. Lillian Rozell Quarrie of Fernie, B.C., passed away at the Extended Care Centre at the Fernie District Hospital on Wednesday, January 21, 1998 at the age of 82 years. Lillian is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Phyllis Quarrie and their daughter Sonia, all of Calgary; and one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Ron Porter of Elkford, B.C. and their sons Michael Wert, also of Elkford, B.C.; and Kevin Wert of Rossland, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest. Over the years, Mom touched many lives. After she completed nurses training in Chicago, she was employed at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She eventually married our Dad, Ernie, and settled in Rossland where we were raised and she continued her nursing career. While in Rossland she was a member of the PTA, a first aid instructor, and a Brownie and Guide Leader. After moving to Sparwood, Mom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 81 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. If our mother had a fault is was the inability to say no to someone who needed a favor. Alzheimer's disease took a lot from our mother, but we shall always remember her laugh, her love and her devotion. ROTHERY -- Adabel "Addie" Rothery died peacefully at Sarcee Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 21, 1998 in her 90th year. She leaves to remember and celebrate her life, her daughter Midge Gilchrist; grandchildren, Allan and Susanne Gilchrist, Lori and Les Croal; and great-grandchildren, Jessi, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Christopher and Nicole of Calgary.
