Pearline was born February 17, 1921 in Jamaica, West Indes. She immigrated to Miami, Florida and then settled in Calgary, Alberta. Besides her loving husband Edward Wong, Pearline is also survived by her children, Tony, Michael, Sonia (Chin), Wayne, and Helen (Fong); thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandchild; plus numerous family and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Jamaica. ARCHAMBAULT -- Rita Arlene of Calgary, formerly of Blackie, Alta., passed away at the Bethany Care Centre, Calgary on January 1, 1998 at the age of 85 years. Rita is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Jim) Williscroft; and her son Stanley (Fran) Archmbault, all of Calgary; and her grandchildren, Rob, Michelle and Don, David, Gerald, Ken and Betty. She is also survived by five sisters and brothers. She was predeceased by her husband Eli on July 13, 1975. Rita and Eli operated Rita's Coffee Counter at Blackie from 1946 until 1974. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, High River, on Tuesday, January 6 at 10:30 a.m., the Very Rev. Father Patrick Cramer, Celebrant. COLLINS -- Mr. Paul Francis Collins of West Vancouver, passed away on Christmas Eve, 1997 at the age of 85. COPPS -- Mrs. Marie Adeline (Lena) Copps (nee Olivier), beloved wife of the late Mr. Theodore H. Copps, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie on January 2, 1998 at the age of 90 years. She is the loving mother of Theodore (Irene) of Cobbl Hill, B.C., Marie (Douglas) Lavoie and Evelyn James of Calgary, Geraldine (Joseph) Hennessey of Edmonton, Yvonne (Ralph) Gusdal of Powell River, B.C., and Michael (Linda), also of Calgary; thirty-five grandchildren, seventy-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a brother Renaldo Olivier of Skead, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Herbert Edwin in 1975, two infant daughters, Gertrude and Elizabeth, son-in-law William James, and grandson Gerald Copps, seven brothers and four sisters. DOWEY -- Thelma Fauna (Gram) passed away suddenly on December 31, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband of forty-seven years, Joshua, on June 24, 1982, and grandson Jeff Champagne on August 2, 1981. HERSHICK -- On December 27, 1997, Orest Murray Hershick on North Delta, B.C., died peacefully at the age of 64, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 29, 1933 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He is survived by his loving wfe Janice; his children, Carole (Chris), Dale, Joanne (Richard), Susan, Linda (Tony), Laurie, their mother Helen Hershick; seven grandchildren, his mother, two sisters and two brothers.
