PALMER, Daniel Wayne

On March 20th, 2016, Daniel Wayne Palmer of Robb, Alberta passed away in Edson, Alberta at the age of 59 years.

Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, his children: Justin Palmer of Robb, Alberta and Tasha (Matthew) McCrae and her children Aubrey and Madelyn of Leduc, Alberta.

Also surviving is his mother Mrs. Lucille Palmer of Robb, Alberta, his siblings: Barney (Kathy) Palmer and family of Hay Lakes, Alberta, Lyle (Tammy) Palmer and family of Leduc, Alberta and Colleen (Alex) Milek and family of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 26th, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Robb Community Hall, Robb, Alberta.

In lieu of other tributes, donations to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Daniel Wayne Palmer is suggested by the family.

MCKENZIE~FINDLAY, Patricia Gayle

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Gayle McKenzie Findlay on April 3, 2016.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Jim Findlay, children Kevin (Lori), Alanna (Tim), Kerwin, and Athena (Bruce), eleven grandchildren, Nicole (Rob), Jeanette (Nick), Travis (Ashlyn), Camille (Russell), Nathan (Amanda), Justin, Sean, Brittany (Alfonso), Kylie (Steven), Riplea (James), and Delaney, and sixteen great grandchildren, sisters and brothers, and numerous family and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Ray McKenzie, her mother and father, Edith and Bill Belcourt, and her brother Bradley Belcourt.

Gayle loved the Lord, her family and flowers. She was loved by many and will never be forgotten, her willingness to find the good in all made her so special. She would always find a way to make you feel better, no matter what the situation was. She worked tirelessly for the betterment of the less fortunate and had a strong belief that everyone would find peace with the Lord. In 2013, Gayle was recognized by Her Majesty the Queen for her contributions to Canada, receiving the Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Gayle was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend to everyone she met. She was a strong and gentle woman who will be missed by all who knew her. We love you Gramma and will miss you forever.

Memorial service was held on April 9th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Royal Canadian Legion, Edson, Alberta. All were welcomed.

JOHNSON, Esther Karen

We regret to announce the passing of Esther Karen Johnson of Edson, Alberta on May 19th, 2015 at the age of 80 years.

Esther is survived by her loving family; son Doran Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada and his children, DJ of Victoria, BC, Jaclyn (Roy) Teyke and their daughter Taylor of Lethbridge, AB., Kristy (Ben) Rolph of Rexburg, Idaho and their children, Noah, Rowan and Kohl; Kelly, Cory Gunness and families of Lethbridge, Alberta, daughter Daralynn Johnson of Jasper, Alberta, daughter Ronda (Gordon) Beck and their children Jillian Penner (Kevin) from Selkirk, MB, Kara-Lee and Jenna of Campbell River, B.C., son Calvin (Lorelee) Johnson of Edson, Alberta and his children, Sadie and Kaleb and son Travis (Donna) Johnson of Peace River and their children Barian Gladue Nyles and Emma Cooper.

Esther was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) on April 13th, 1996 as well as her parents Vila and Benjamin Kenney as well as siblings Doran and Calvin Kenney.

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Edson at 40th Street and Bear Lake Road (Hiway 748 East), with David Johnston presiding.

Viewing will take place prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.

In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2 (www.cancer.ca) in memory of Esther Karen Johnson.

KAYE, Mary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Kaye at the age of 83 years on May 16th, 2015 in Hinton, Alberta.

Mary is survived by her loving family: her son Barry Kaye of England and his daughter Cassie and her children Charlotte, Abigal and Grace; her son David (Anne) Kaye of Hinton and his children, Martin (Tanya) Kaye, Lori – Ann Kaye and her children, Adrian and Johathon and Lisa (Travis) Kaye all of Hinton. Also surviving is her sister Ann Marshall and family in England.

Mary was predeceased by her husband John William in 2001, her granddaughter Joanne Kaye and siblings Peter, Betty and Jean.

Cremation has taken place and interment of cremated remains will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Hinton, Alberta on May 21st, 2015 at 1:00 PM.

WESTERNENG, Ednamarie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edna Marie on May 14th, 2015 at the age of 58 years, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Edna is survived by her husband Henk of Edson, Alberta, her children: son Donald Nettnay of Clive, Alberta and his children Isabella and Matthew, daughter Robyn (Rob) Knight and family of Lethbridge, Alberta, daughter Johanna Westerneng of Victoria, BC, son Kyle Westerneng (Brandy Shephard) of Hay Lakes, Alberta and Dreena Westerneng of Camrose, Alberta.

Edna was predeceased by Robert Palmason and Everett Westerneng and her parents Mary Ann and Charles Adams.

Following cremation, a "Celebration of Life" and service was held on Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at 1PM at the Edson Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Steve Rigby officiating.

In lieu of other tributes, Edna had requested that donations if desired may be made to Children’s Stollery Hospital Children’s Hospital Foundation, 1502 College Plaza, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 2C8 in her memory..

HUTCHINGS, Margo Marie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Nan and Great-Nan at the age of 76 years on April 30th, 2015 as she was surrounded by her family at The Hinton General Hospital.

Margo, formerly of Summerland, B.C., is survived by her loving family: son Robert Hutchings (Susan Bergen) of Abbotsford, B.C. and his children Danny and Robyn, son Stephen (Sandy) Hutchings and their children Gregory, Kristine, Dylan and Matthew of Hinton, Alberta and daughter Denise (Ken) Scott of Golden, B.C. and their children Amanda (Jeff), Jordan and Connor and great grandchildren Cohen Moulun, Elena Hutchings, Tucker Scott – Parrish as well as her brother John (Pat) Punch and family in Kelowna, BC.

Margo was predeceased by her husband Dennis F. Hutchings, parents James and Enid Punch as well as baby girl Hutchings.

Funeral services for Margo took place on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church, 102 Sunwapta Drive, Hinton, Alberta with Pastor Bill Bulger officiating. Cremation followed this service.

In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to The Lung Association of Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Margo Marie Hutchings.

NYLUND, Runard Raepheal

We regret to announce that on April 29th, 2015 Runard passed away in Edson, Alberta at the age of 75 years.

Runard is survived by his beloved wife Betty of Edson, Alberta along with his children: daughter Leona (Angus) Munro of Leduc, Alberta and their children Jordan and Magnus: daughter Mary L’Hirondelle of Edson, Alberta and her children Kelly L’Hirondelle and Tiffany Coes: daughter Grace Nylund (Francois Grondin) of Peace River, Alberta and their children Kassandra and Kyle and son Nils (Joan Munro) Nylund of Edmonton, Alberta their son Kieran Nylund – Munro.

There are numerous other relatives and many friends left to mourn.

Runard was predeceased by his parents; mother Grace in 1996 and father Nils in 1976.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 5th, 2105 at 10:00 AM at the Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.

In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society #200, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, Alberta – T6G 1Z2 in memory of Runard Nylund.

Court, Bloyce Allan

On April 26th, 2015, Mr. Bloyce Allan Court of Edson, Alberta passed away at the age of 79 years.

He is survived by his companion Jeannie of Edson, Alberta and his daughters: Peggy (Ken) Court of Edson, Alberta, Maureen (Ted) Zielke of Blairmore, Alberta and their children Candace (Issac), Randy (Terri) all of Red Deer, Alberta, Cory (Christine) and Zachary all of Edmonton, Alberta; Shelley (Shayne) Whitnack and children Ashley (Lawrence), Devin, Danyka, Dustin, Dawson and Avery all of Edson, Alberta, Minnie’s husband Bert Jager and their children Megan (Jeremy) all of Blairmore, Alberta, Jennifer of Lethbridge, Alberta, and Kristopher (Emelia) of Okotoks, Alberta

Also surviving is his brother Evan (Roberta) Court and their son Dale along with granddaughter Nicole of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

There are numerous great grandchildren, relatives and a host of friends left to mourn.

Bloyce was predeceased by his wife Phyllis in 2007 and his daughter Mary Lynn Jager in 2013 as well as his parents Herbert and Elizabeth Court and his brother Beverly in infancy.

Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Edson United Church, Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.

Interment of cremated remains followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.

In lieu other tributes, the family suggests donations be directed to The Edson United Church Building Fund, 1214 Edson, Drive, Edson, Alberta, T7E 1H6 for repairs to the roof or Parkland Lodge, 4619 - 9th Ave., Edson, Alberta, T7E 1R7 in memory of Bloyce Allan Court
