June 3, 1918 - August 20, 2007
On August 20, 2007 Amanda Whitelaw of Edmonton formerly of Manchester, England passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Amanda Ailsa (Ross) Lambert, her son Ian James Whitelaw, granddaughter Lenora (Paul) Collins, grandson Morgan John Chandler Lambert, great-grandchildren Aidan & Parker Collins, as well as extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the loving care given to our mother by all the caregivers at South Terrace Continuing Care Centre.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Amanda's final resting place will be with her husband John at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
Mr. George William Hipkin
August 22, 1924 - June 24, 2007
Mum’s beloved husband and our loving dad has moved forward into the next phase of his being to join with his friends and relatives that have gone before him.
He will be remembered always by his loving, devoted wife of 62 years, Shirley (nee Stannard), Children; Faye (John), Murray (Marlene), Doug (Sandy), Debra (Bob), Rob (Lee), Barb (Don), Shelley (Richard); 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Sisters; Barbara McDougall and Jean Burns; and Brother Gerald.
He is predeceased by his parents; Jim (Percy) and Freda Hipkin, Brother Dick (Phyllis) and Brothers in-law Dave (Jean) and Keith (Barbara).
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28th at 10:00am at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on RR 232, Sherwood Park, AB.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Grey Nuns Hospital for the care and support they provided during the past three weeks.
Mr. Denis John Jungwirth
March 26, 1945 - May 31, 2007
On Thursday May 31, 2007 Denis John Jungwirth passed away suddenly at the age of 62.
Denis was born and raised in Cudworth SK, and made his way to Edmonton to work, settling in Sherwood Park in 1981.
Denis will be sadly missed by his 3 children, Brent (Leanne), Denise and Neil (Christina Zelman); their mother Lorraine Jungwirth; his 4 grandchildren Myles, Nicole, Justin and Kael, and his special friend Bonnie Johanson.
Denis also leaves to mourn, his parents Victor and Catherine Jungwirth of Cudworth SK, 5 brothers Clarence (Margaret), Larry (Deby), Robert (Bernice), Lloyd (Debbie), Eugene (Grace), his 2 sisters Joyce Wedewer (Don, deceased) and Vicky Martinson (Kerry), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prayers and viewing will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OLPH Catholic Church, 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park, with Reverend Jack Hamilton celebrant.
Cremation will follow.

Mr. Graham Trotter
September 14, 1925 - July 30, 2007
Trotter, Graham Wallace - The retired former bureau chief of Canadian Press in Edmonton died peacefully July 30, at the Edmonton General's Hospice from complications due to bone cancer.
Born in Medicine Hat in 1925, the son of labourer Arthur Trotter and Scottish immigrant Elizabeth Lambie, Graham joined CP at Winnipeg in 1948 and had a lengthy stint as news editor in Ottawa before transfer to Edmonton in 1969.
He was a classic news hound in the era of lead pencil, typewriter and teletype, dedicated to delivering the facts quickly and precisely.
In the last months, unaware of re-emerging cancer, Graham tended to his wife's own medical crisis and bore his own pain stoically.
This old-fashioned gentleman will be sorely missed by wife, Mary, ; daughter, Valerie; son, Larry; sister Margaret; grandchildren, Colleen and Andy; great-grandchildren, Alijha, Max, Owen and Nate, and all the relations and co-workers who knew him well.
A celebration of Graham's life will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356-Range Road 232, south of Wye Road, on August 7, 2007 at 10:00 am.
Interment to follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Klara Ehlert
March 7, 1921 - June 16, 2007
On June 16, 2007, Mrs. Klara Ehlert of the Edmonton area passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons Armin (Inga) of Sherwood Park and Dieter (Sylvia von Berg) of Kingston, Ontario, granddaughter Anita (Michael) Norris of Edmonton, two great grandchildren Emma and Hudson.
Klara was predeceased by her husband Erwin on August 11, 2006.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 9155- 79 Avenue in Edmonton.
Interment will follow in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Sherwood Park.
In lieu of other tributes donations can be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all those who cared for Klara at Laurier House.
