Marcel passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007.
Marcel is survived by his devoted wife & soul mate Margaret; his four loved children, Debbie (Des) Byrne of Calgary, Dave (Brenda) of Didsbury, Del of Calgary and Donna of New Zealand; six beautiful grandchildren, Tawnya and Tara of Didsbury, Sara and Courteney of New Zealand, Ty and Connor of Calgary; brother, Raymond (Jackie) Faucher; sisters, Yvette (John) Smail and Harriet (Julien) Dussault; brother in law, Joe Kolonics and sister in law, Marg Faucher all of BC.
He was predeceased by his brother, Rusty Faucher and sister, Diane Kolonics.
Marcel was born in Millardville, BC.
Marcel held a hair-styling career working for the Hudson Bay Co. for 26 yrs.
Representing the Bay, he traveled coast to coast, including New York two times, teaching the trends of hair-styling.
Marcel also taught at James Fowler High School for five years before retiring.
He was a hockey hound with the Centennial Hockey Club for 10 yrs then a volunteer for the Canucks Jr. Hockey Club for 20 yrs.
He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch for many yrs.
Marcel’s interests included cars, sports, music, casino, camping with family & friends, traveling through Canada, USA & as far as New Zealand.
He enjoyed coffee with the coffee gang at CO-OP.
Marcel was a real genuine person & brought many smiles & laughs to everyone.
He will be sadly missed by many family, friends and numerous special nieces and nephews as they all thought the world of Uncle “Marc”.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Ward 43 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, especially to Dr. A. Louw.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch #154 on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Marcel’s name directly to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation (#200, 119 - 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association (#204, 2323 - 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3).
Mr. Allen Edward Reschke
March 30, 1935 - July 26, 2007
Allen Reschke passed away on July 26, 2007.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Verona Reschke; children and grandchildren, Charmaine (Don) Moar, Brendon, Devon; Cindy (Mike) Loran, Amanda, Paul, Rachel, Vicki; Barbara (Jeff) McKay, Dane, Megan; Steven (Irene) Reschke, Allison, Ethan; brothers, Bob (Darlene), Gary (Jan), Jim (Sandy); in-laws, Donna (Dick) Osberg, Shirley Bradburn, Warren Walker, numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen was predeceased by his father and mother, Ed and Hilda Reschke; sisters, Janet and June Reschke.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Reception Centre, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to thank Ron Mansell, Adair Hunter, Art Pollard and Peter Medwid for all their friendship and support.
Also, a big thank you to the Unit 52 nurses and nurses aids.

THOMAS, Audrey “Granny”
May 18, 1914 – July 20, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Audrey Thomas at the age of 93.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernest (1966) and son Wayne (1969).
She will be missed by her 2 sisters Veda Thomas and Rose Wold, her children Marilyn (Bill) Payne, Zelda Sheets (Gordon Ross), Norman Thomas (Mary), Alvin (Betty) Thomas, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre for their care and compassion.
Audrey will be remembered at a Memorial Service on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre.
GUERIN, Donald Henry
May 15, 1935 - July 25, 2007
Donald Guerin passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Carewest Sarcee Hospice.
He is survived by his sisters, Marjorie (Ray) Read, Dorothy (Joe) Clarke and Nona Montgomery, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers Carl and Clem Guerin, his sister Eleanor, her husband Captain Patrick McKeown, as well as his daughter Jennifer.
Don was much loved by the many people he assisted during his life.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 604 1 Street SE, on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Mair C. Smith
February 18, 1920 - July 22, 2007
Mair C. Smith passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the age of 87 years.
Born in Llandudno, Wales, Mair often reflected on her early years growing up in the seaside town and loved taking long walks along the promenade on the North Wales Coast.
She proudly served with the British Armed Forces during World War II where she met her husband Donald Smith.
Mair came to Canada through Pier 21 in 1946.
Her passion for music and dancing, sense of humour and quick wit will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.
Mair was predeceased by her husband Don and son Tony.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandsons Sean and Jason; granddaughter-in-law Stacie; great granddaughters Cailynne and Nyla; nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbours.
A Memorial Service will be held at Leyden’s Funeral Home (corner of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street SW) on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
