She was predeceased by her husband Willi O. Baumann in June of this year. Mrs. Baumann was born in 1906 in West Prussia, Germany. In 1951 she and her husband immigrated to Canada. She will be sadly missed by her son Egon, his wife Lieselotte of Nelson, B.C.; her grandson Terry Baumann, his wife Linda and their children Katie and Christopher, also of Nelson; and her granddaughter Ramona Slattery, and husband Kres of Calgary; and many relatives and friends in Germany and Canada. BROUGHTON -- Omar Junio, beloved husband of Anne Broughton, High River, passed away suddenly near his home on December 22, 1997 at the age of 79 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Barrie (Marion) Broughton, Lethbridge, Lindsay Broughton (Lisa Pashniak), Edmonton and Timothy Broughton (Karen Marshall), Toronto; and his grandchildren, Drew, Chris, Noel and Mark. He is also survived by his sisters, Evelyn Johnson and Ruby (Julius) Nordstrom, all of Camrose, Phyllis (Bob) Munson, Red Deer and LaVonne (Des) Pitts, Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his brother William Broughton, Camrose, and Bertha Broughton (Edmonton). Omar was born and raised in the Donalda district. He served overseas with the R.C.A.F. (1940 to 1945) and then received his B.Sc. in agriculture at the U of A in 1950. He was employed as farm commentator for CJOC Radio, Lethbridge and later as Corporate Secretary for Alberta Wheat Pool and Marketing Commissioner for Alberta Agriculture. He retired to active farming in 1983 at High River where he has resided since. Funeral Services will be held at the High River United Church on Monday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. David Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Highwood Cemetery. CHRISTENSEN -- Mr. Charles (Charlie) Edward Christensen, beloved husband of Virgie, passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on December 26, 1997. He was born August 10, 1916 on the family homestead located MW17, 24, 21, W4 (south east of Standard) and always felt privileged to be a native Albertan. Besides his loving wife Virgie, Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Carol and Mark Pollard of Calgary; his son Murray and Sonia of Chancellor; son Lyle and Eileen of Hussar; and son Dale of New York. Grampa will be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Melissa and Jessica Pollard, Craig Christensen, and Kisa and Leah Christensen. Charlie will be deeply missed by sisters, Alice and John Toogood of Edmonton, Betty and Bob Louden; and brothers, Harry and Evelyn, and Howard Christensen; as well as special friend Betty Christensen, all of Calgary. In addition to his many nieces and nephews who all hold special memories of their uncle, Dad's multitude of friends will also feel a great loss. SKOL! DONALDSON -- Mr. Gordon Leon Donaldson passed away peacefully, December 26, 1997 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 67. His loving memory will be cherished by his wife of forty-six years Marie (Osinchuk); four sons, Jim (and his special friend Zoe), Gerry (Janelle), Rob (Sharon) and Tim (Cindy); seven grandchildren, Jodi, Alanna, Nicole, Matthew, Rena, Austin and Carter; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan and Mackenzie; and a brother Terry (Barbara) of Comox, B.C. He was predeceased by a son Andrew, a sister Doris and by his parents, Martha and Ken. DYMOND -- Frances Geraldine (nee van Baal) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on December 26, 1997 at the age of 60. FEDORUK -- Tillie Fedoruk passed away at her home in Calgary on December 24, 1997, at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by her husband William in 1989, Tillie will be sadly missed by her two sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian and Pegi of Calgary and Kevin and Jane of Taber; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Charlie Hogeslag of Kelowna, B.C. and Colleen and Randy Richards of Calgary; and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her mother Luvella Ell of Grassy Lake; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Josephine Ell of Grassy Lake and Edward and Ella Ell of Calgary; and one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gordon Reber of Bowden. Tillie will be remembered for her years of dedicated service in the CWL and with Pastoral Care at the Peter Lougheed Centre. FUGE -- Nan Fuge passed away at the Foothills Hospital on December 24, 1997 at the age of 75 years, beloved wife of Ray Fuge and dear mother of Ian Fuge, Neil Fuge and Alison (Roger) Smith. GRANT -- Jessie Bennett Grant passed away at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home on December 25, 1997 at the age of 93 years. Jessie was born in Halifax, N.S. on September 19, 1904. She lived most of her life in Toronto, ON. before coming to Calgary, AB. in 1986. She was a member of Club 36, Alzheimer's Society of Calgary.
