- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -FEARS - Mrs. Catherine Madelene (Kaye) Fears, beloved wife of fifty-nine years of Mr. Jack Fears of Calgary, passed away at the Glenmore Palliative Unit on Tuesday, December 2, 1997, following a long illness at the age of 87 years. Kaye received her education at the convent in Vibank, Saskatchewan. She graduated as a registered nurse from Grey Nun's Hospital in Regina. Besides her loving husband, Kaye is survived by a daughter Rosemary Fears of Nanton, Alberta; as well as by three grandchildren, Michael Fears, Danny Fears and Melanie Hogarth, all of Calgary. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Armande Gerein of Regina, Saskatchewan. Kaye was predeceased by her eldest daughter Jeanette, two sisters, Pauline and Lyda, and her brother John. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 - 14 Street S.W.) today, December 4, 1997 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 - 14 Street S.W.) on Friday, December 5, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. FEDORUK - Tillie Fedoruk passed away at her home in Calgary on December 24, 1997, at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by her husband William in 1989, Tillie will be sadly missed by her two sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian and Pegi of Calgary and Kevin and Jane of Taber; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Charlie Hogeslag of Kelowna, B.C. and Colleen and Randy Richards of Calgary; and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her mother Luvella Ell of Grassy Lake; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Josephine Ell of Grassy Lake and Edward and Ella Ell of Calgary; and one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gordon Reber of Bowden. Tillie will be remembered for her years of dedicated service in the CWL and with Pastoral Care at the Peter Lougheed Centre. JACKSON - Mr. Timothy Jackson of Airdrie, AB, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 16, 1997 at the age of 41 years. He is survived by his loving family, Donna and two children, Terri Anne, Michael David, all of Airdrie; his mother Martha Jackson; four brothers, Wayne (Anne), Bill (Judy), Andy (Gladys), John (Dawn); two sisters, Penny Kent, Rose (Bob) Ward; mother-in-law Carol Timms; sister-in-law Lisa (Randy) Munroe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tim was a local business man, volunteer firefighter and actively involved in the community. He will be missed by all that knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Airdrie United Church, 216 - 1 Avenue N.E., on Thursday, June 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Airdrie United Church on Friday, June 20, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. JADESKE - Reuben Samuel Jadeske, beloved husband of Mrs. Ann Jadeske of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 1997 at the age of 67 years. He is the loving father of three daughters, Val (Dean), Deb (Rob) and Tracey (James); step-sons, Kerry (Mira) and Bruce (Nancy). His fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and special friend and nephew Howard. Reuben is also survived by his three sisters, two sisters-in-law, two brothers, three brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both his parents, his brother and two sisters. Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. JALLEP - Victoria Jallep (nee Peressini), wife of the late William Jallep, passed away at the Crowsnest Hospital on June 11, 1997 at the age of 83 years. Vicky is survived by her two daughters, Frances (Steve) Kelemen of Stavely and Gloria (Jack) McArter of New Westminster, B.C.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Kelemen of Toronto and Steve Kelemen of Stavely; five step-grandsons; brother Americo Peressini of Penticton; three sisters-in-law, Pauline Nickyforuk of Calgary, Mary Peressini of Kamloops and Edna Peressini of Edmonton; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Vicky was born in Valvasone, Italy. Except for the years of 1969 to 1976 when she lived in Calgary, Vicky's home was Blairmore since 1928. Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 14 with Interment in the Blairmore Union Cemetery. JAMES - Eric, W.M. passed away in White Rock, BC, on Saturday, December 6, 1997 at the age of 83. Eric was predeceased by his wife Christina (Chris) in 1995 and is survived by four sons, Bill (Kaye), Colin (Shelagh), Lorne and Brad. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Laurie, Laura, David and Bonnie; and by two sisters, Reavely and Margaret. Eric was born in Winnipeg. He served in the RCAF during World War II in England and Burma, in The Chinthe Squadron (435). He managed Alberta Sheet Metal in Calgary for nearly thirty years before retiring to Brentwood, then White Rock, BC. A Memorial Service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, in White Rock, Saturday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the hearing impaired would be appreciated (12/12/1997).
JAMES - Howard Wesley James passed away September 15, 1997 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his loving wife Gert in June of 1996, Howard is survived by his son Allen (Jane) of Calgary; daughter Gwen Harris (Barry) of Victoria; brother Lloyd (Joan) of Burnaby; sister Mabel Mash of Richmond; grandchildren, Todd and Ross Harris, and Christie and Curtis James; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Biggar, Sask., Howard resided in Regina after his marriage to Gert (Stone) in 1940, moving to Calgary in 1956 where he was well- known in the printing trade in Western Canada, retiring in 1978 to Malahat and Victoria. A Memorial Service will be held in Victoria, Friday, September 19, 1997 at 12:00 noon at FIRST MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1155 Fort Street. If friends so desire, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Parkinson's Society of Southern Alberta (9/18/1997).
ENGEL - Mr. Adolf Engel of Calgary went to be with his Lord on December 18, 1997 at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Elfriede; his brother Jake of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews living both in Canada and Germany. Adolf was born in 1908 in Klostitz, Besarabia, Russia. He and his loving wife Elfriede immigrated to Canada in 1953, living for a year in Taber, and two years in Champion. The couple moved to Calgary in 1957. Soon after they purchased their home in Bridgeland and have resided there till Adolf's Heavenly call. Adolf was predeceased by his mother Margaret in Besarabia, his father Jacob in Stettler, AB, sisters, Matilda, Olga and Marie in Germany, and his brothers, Alexander and John in Calgary. Funeral Services will be held at Bridgeland Evangelical Missionary Church, 235 - 8A Street N.E. on Monday, December 22, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Colin Meikle and Reverend Alvin W. Roth officiating. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Gideon Bibles, 5704 - 11 Street N.W., Calgary T2K 5P3.
