Since moving back to B.C. in 1986, Don was actively involved in a number of residential and commercial projects on Vancouver Island and, over the past eight years, in Vernon, B.C. While Don received much recognition for his projects over the years, he was very honored and proud to receive multiple awards through the HBA, including the “Best Environmental Project for 2003” for Whisper Ridge in Coldstream.
Don thought big, played big and worked hard: although he would argue that work and play were often one and the same. He had many hobbies and among the top favorites were sailing, airplane building, fast and exotic cars and re-building just about anything. Outside of his many passions, Don was a loving husband, caring father, proud grandfather, great brother, devoted friend to many and a well respected businessman.
