PARÉ, ANTONIO "TONY" JOSEPH Thursday, 03 Jan 2008
Port Hardy, BC
MAY, 9TH, 1930 - JANUARY, 3RD, 2008
With deep sadness, Tony's family announces his sudden passing. Tony was born in East Broughton, Quebec, to Corrine and Sylvio Pare´, the second of four children. After "bachin' it" for forty years, the love of his life, Darlene, and her four kids managed to capture his heart. While living in British Columbia with his new instant family, he never was far from his roots in Quebec, over the years taking several trips home with his family. A carpenter by trade, he worked throughout the province, spending much time in Port McNeill, Cumberland, and Prince Rupert. Throughout that time "Papa Tony's" focus was always family and friends. He loved to hop in the motor home on the spur of the moment and take off with Nana, and often kids or grandkids. He spent many hours at ball parks and ice rinks, proudly watching his grandchildren perform.
He is survived by his children Barb Gagnon (Jerry), Karen Olson, Brad Olson (Joanne), Joy Simms (John), along with his adoring grandchildren, extended family and many friends, particularly Mike and Eva Gentes.
A service of remembrance was held Saturday, January, 12th, in Cumberland.

There are times in our lives
when we stop and wonder
what does it all mean
why do things happen
the way they do...
I wish I had the answer for you.
I wish I knew exactly what to say
to ease your pain and make sense of all this,
but I don’t
All I can do is tell you
how much I care about you, that I’m here for you,
and that you are in my heart and thoughts.
All I can do is let you know
that every day I’m sending hopes
and wishes and love to you...
and I’ll keep right on sending them
for as long as you need me to. There will be a celebration of life held closer to his birthday in January
