Jack was a passionate man who lived his life with honour and dignity. He passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 while out cross country skiing in an area he loved.
He was pre-deceased by his son Albert in 1990 and his brother Gino in 1998.
Jack will be remembered for his crusade towards improvements to the Kitimat Municipal Cemetery.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Sandra; daughter Maddalena (Ross) Vendittelli and grandson Jordan of Prince Rupert, BC; brothers Tony (Diana) of California, Chris (Sally) of Kitimat; and sisters Elda, Anna (Giovanni), Emma of Asiago, Italy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held in Kitimat at Christ the King Church January 19, 2008.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Sandra Rigoni and family would like to thank all those involved in the search for Jack, especially Terry and Jamie Paul, Sean Enmark and Lance Greenslade. The assistance and support of Father Pier, Arleigh Slanina and the bereavement committee will be forever remembered with gratitude. They made a very difficult time bearable.
Thank you to all the family and friends who brought food, flowers, sent cards and gave hugs and immeasurable support and to the church choir. Many thanks to those who made donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society in Jack’s name. Your generosity will never be forgotten.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vincenza Ida Mauro at the age of 91.
Ida lived most of her long, full and happy life in Kitimat.
Left to mourn her are Alfredo, her husband of 64 years; her son Francesco (Marianna); her daughters Nella (Sauro) Banducci), Maria (Alex) Kotai; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives in Italy, Canada and the USA.
Ida was pre-deceased by her grandson Michele Mauro in 1997.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and dedicated staff at the Multi Level Care Unit as well as Dr. Huang for his loving care.
Prayers for Ida will be recited at Christ the King Church Thurs., Jan. 17 at 7:30 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Fri., Jan. 18 at 1:30 pm by Reverend Pier Pandolfo.
Interment will take place in Vancouver at the Ocean View Mausoleum.

Born December 17, 1930 in Achadinha Açores, Portugal, passed away January 10, 2008 in Kitimat, B.C.
Predeceased by her loving husband Artur Furtado Patricio.
Amelia will be sadly missed by her children Mary (Sergio) and Julio; grandchildren Anita (Lawrence), Brandy (Ryan) and Adam; and great-grandson Kaiden Alexander, and numerous relatives and friends.
The Patricio and Amaral families would like to thank the nurses and staff of Kitimat General Hospital for their wonderful, compassionate care of our mother.
Also a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kay and Dr. Schalkyk, to our relatives and friends who lovingly extended help and support at this very difficult time.
Forever Loved, Forever Missed.

Amelia was pre-deceased by her loving husband Arthur Macedo.
She is survived by her four daughters Maria (Nelson), Juliette (Gilberto), Grace (Joe) and Coincie (Arnaldo); and many grandchildren.
We, the family of Amelia Macedo would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who touched Amelia’s life in any way during the past eight years; especially Albertina Rafeiro and Frank and Dina Silveira.

Kyla Dawn Bruno, born January 31, 1986 in Kitimat, B.C., died suddenly at the age of 21 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.
Kyla is survived by her parents Joe and Sharon Bruno; brother Darren (Bobi); her loving soul mate Tim Gjelsvik; his parents Tobbi and Pat Gjelsvik; grandparents Don and Sheila Reeves; grandmother Maria Bruno; great-grandmother Viney Reeves; Aunts Heather (Mike) Masch, Paula (Jason) Mackay, Maria (Lawrence) Pettet, Jenny (Ron) Lechner; cousins Sabrina, Nicole, Travis, Angela, Calvin, Kadee, Jenna, Taylon, Samantha; numerous great aunts and uncles and many friends.
Kyla is now resting peacefully with her grandfather Mario Bruno, great-grandparents Bill and Bernice Lowes and great-grandfather Harry Reeves.
A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Church in Kitimat, B.C. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 1:30 pm.

Born in Liverpool, England.
Jean will be sadly missed by son John (Rosemary), grandsons Tony (Julie), Robert and Sean Brady; step grandchildren Mike (Renae), Nikki (Terry), Lisa (Cory); great-grandchildren Bradley and Aidan; long time friends Rosa and Maggie.
A special thanks to all who cared for her while in Terraceview and Mills Memorial Hospital.
Memorial service was held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1pm at the Anglican Church in Kitimat.
Omejc, Vinko Saturday, 29 Dec 2007

Vinko Omejc was born in Menges, Slovenia. He was pre-deceased by his father Vincent, his mother Cilka, stepfather Janez and brothers Ludvik, Marijan and Anton.
He is survived by his brother Franci and sisters Zdenka and Milka, also of Europe.
Vinko leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Sadie and his six children, Stan (Sharon), Ludwick (Stanis), Darlene (Gary), Brenda (John), Grant (Sharon) and Betty.
The joy of Vinko’s life were his twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will miss their Baba greatly.
Diagnosed with lung cancer December 3, 2007, Vinko lost his short but courageous battle on December 29, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
Many thanks to Dr. Li Huang, Father Pier and the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary, St. Paul’s Hospital, the KGH Nurses and staff, the Haisla United Church Choir, the Haisla Pentecostal Choir and Margret Ferns. Thank you also to the District of Kitimat Yard, CEP Locals 298 and 1127, and special thanks to the Kitimat Handi Dart and the Kitimat Ambulance Service for taking Vinko home for his last few visits.
Last, but definitely not least, thank you to family, friends and neighbours for the overwhelming support given to Sadie and her children during this very difficult time.
