Predeceased by her husband of forty years, Donald.
Survived by her sister, Nadyne Roseborough of Victoria, and Brother-in-law Gus Galbraith of Lake Cowichan.
Also survived by her children, Thomas Galbraith (Helen), Heather Brown (Micky), Moira Galbraith (Tom), Cheryl (Don), Glenda Galbraith, Gordon Galbraith (Rochelle), Stuart Galbraith (Lesa), and Kirk Galbraith (Sheila); by her grandchildren Sonya Strang, Angus Brown, Shona and Cameron Murray, Dawnelle Galbraith, Scott and Katie Rae Galbraith, Mariah, Kara and Kory Galbraith, and Matthew Galbraith; by her great-grandchildren Carson and Nathan Strang, and Jasmine Brown.
Eura and Donald settled in Sooke after Don retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force. It was the realization of a life long dream - living on the west coast and fishing for Dad, picking roses in January for Mom.
Eura’s proudest achievement was, with the help of Don, she raised eight happy, healthy, independent children.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Royal Jubilee Hospital for their effort and compassion during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held for Eura at the Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Ave. in Colwood, 11: 00am September 17, 2007.

IRENE Susan (Sue) Scanlan (nee Kecnen) passed away quietly at Victoria General Hospital Friday, August 3 from a stroke. She was pre-deceased by her sons; Michael and Tracy and leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years Clyde, and her loving daughters; Janine, Anita, Linda, and Kellie. Sue was the loving grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 2. In her long and productive life she performed in vaudeville, served in WW II, worked in factories, led church choirs and traveled the world. She was an accomplished musician who played organ and mandolin and in her later years often performed and arranged entertainment for seniors' groups.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Judy was born to Senator Donald A. McLean and Catherine (nee Walsh) in Saint John New Brunswick. She was the middle child of three, and leaves her older bother Donald McLean (Delta, B.C.) and a younger sister Faith (McLean) Keith (Lake Utopia, N.B.). Judy lived her earlier life in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick. She later became an R.N. and married Dr. Gordon K. Dimock in 1959. Judy and Gordon had four children; Donald (Beverly Waugh), Cathy (David Prette), Karl (Tammi Martin), and Andrew (Patrick Sweeney). Judy is also survived by ten beautiful grandchildren; Ryan, Kyle, Connor, Jessica, Miles, Cole, Jacob, Emery, Samuel, and Hailey. A private family service was held on Wednesday, July 11th, 2007. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sooke Hospice.

Joseph Bartram, 94, of Nanoose Bay, passed away Friday, June 29th, 2007 at Qualicum Manor. Joe was pre-deceased by his sister Edith and his two brothers Robert and George. He was a resident of Nanoose Bay for over 50 years.
We wish to express appreciation to the nurses on the 2nd floor of Qualicum Manor. For the caring and compassionate manner in which they treated Joe. There will be no service per his request.

Pre-deceased by her daughter Linda and sons Jerry and Tim, Sarah is survived by her daughters: June, Jacqueline, Katherine, Sara and Penny; sons: Greg and Henry; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At peace at last she will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Until we meet again.

Much loved and forever in our hearts.
Born December 2, 1936 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After a courageous and hard fought battle with Cancer, Gerry passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2007 at 70 years of age. He was a loving husband to Carla, father to Randy, Rick and Shannon and stepfather to Tracie and Amy. He was also a very proud "Papa" to Hayden and Hudson. Gerry was passionate about family and friends, singing and playing guitar, fishing and golf. He was also a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs and Hamilton Tiger Cats fan. He was a proud and hard working man. He distinguished himself in the military, was a great organizer, mentor and possessed an incredible sense of fairness. He often defended those that were not able to defend themselves. He leaves behind many treasured friends. A special thank you to Home Care Nurses, Robin and Iris and especially Heather Haines, an undoubting advocate. The family would also like to express appreciation to Randall, Susan and Kristen of the Saanich Peninsula Hospice Unit for their dedication and kindness. A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at the Esquimalt Legion (#172) 622 Admirals Road, June 21st at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospice Unit, to which we owe our heartfelt thanks.

Born October 1, 1916 in Sooke b.C.
passed away February 17, 2008 in Duncan, B.C. Daidy was a descendant of the early pioneering Poirier family of Sooke. He worked mainly in the forest industry in many parts of B.C. and was an avid outdoorsman. he enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to explore the woods and beaches wherever he lived. In Daidy's retirement years he was content to observe, identify and study the habits of the wildlife that visited his yard and to visit beaches with his beloved dog, Cody. Predeceased by his wife, Claire in August 2007, brothers, Mandus, Eric and Paul; sisters Sarah, Lilly, Aggie and Christy. He is survived by brother Mick and sister Marie Hay of Sooke. Daidy will be sadly missed by his children, Sharon, Kimber and Selma of greater Vancouver; stepdaughters Yvonne (Kevin) of Duncan; and Colleen (Walter) of Metchosin and nine grandchildren. To the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cowichan District Hospital who made our Dad's last two weeks as comfortable as possible, we send our heartful thanks.
No service by request. There will be a small family memorial in the Spring.

Taken from us too soon, our beautiful boy is deeply missed and loved by his parents Darren & Stacey and his big sister Kaitlyn. He also leaves behind his Grandpa & Grandma (Jim & Penny) Opa & Oma (Rem & Carey) Uncles Dallas (Alison), Curt (Lynne) Jared & Blair. Aunties Sabrina, Kimberly and Rachel. His cousins Cole, Daniel & Benjamin. Along with a Great Great Grandpa, Great Grandparents, Great Uncles & Aunts and second cousins. Carsen’s life was short, but he touched many lives with is never-ending smiles, his easy nature and his adorable red hair. His memory will live on forever in our hearts. We miss you little man. Stacey and Darren would like to thank their families and the Sooke Community for all their love and support. Predeceased by his wife Lillian 1992, his son Kevin 1992, survived by his Daughter Margaret (Don) Daughter in-law pat Simpson (Tony) Grandchildren Lesley Porter (Mike) Jim Simpson, Theresa Kissinger (Steve) and six great-grandchildren.
