Beaton, Barry Fraser Wednesday, 09 Jan 2008
Smithers, BC
Born May 3, 1944 in Grimsby, England
passed away suddenly Jan. 9, 2008
Barry had a full life, he explored many avenues. While at work or play he enjoyed living on the edge. Barry was a jack of all trades and a master of tons. He lived for today, but always had plans for tomorrow (though if you knew him the plans and dreams changed weekly or monthly). Whether Barry was telling one of his signature jokes with the bad accent or explaining what accident he had that day, he was always good for a laugh and always had a good story. He always went out of his way to help out a friend in need and sometimes a complete stranger too. He was a kind generous man with lots of heart.
He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. Barry left behind his family, starting with his pride and joy, Allison Beaton his first grandbaby, his kids Chris, Evy and Richard (Jenny & grandbaby to be) and their mother Laurie. He also left behind his partner of eight years Gwen Hovland and her children and grandchildren that he loved like his own. His mother and sister in England and a whack of nieces and nephews. His grandpuppies Taylor, Kayla and Bubs, which he was very fond of.
A memorial service will be held as a celebration of his life sometime in the near future.
