It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Finley Haggarty on Friday, February 27th, 2009, at the age of 91.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia of 67 years, on September 7, 2005.
He leaves to mourn a daughter, Myrna (Bill) Dickson, 2 grandchildren, Lee Gordon Dickson (Rima) of Langley, B.C., and Julie Kristen Dickson Olmstead (Gerry) of Surrey, B.C., and 4 great-grandchildren; Geoffrey, Ariana and Christien Dickson and Olivia Dickson Olmstead, brother, Dennis Haggarty of Dauphin, MB, and sister-in-law, Bertha Haggarty of Flin Flon, Manitoba, and many nieces and nephews.
Finley served in the Army - Scottish Division, 1944-1946, and received the medal of France and Germany.
He was a member of the Elks and Legion for many years.
Fin was a man with many friends and a kind heart that touched every person he met.
He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in July or August.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 865 Bernard Avenue Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 6P6.

FEDORENKO, Alexander

Alexander FEDORENKO passed peacefully at Sun Pointe Village, on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the age of 87.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bronislava "Bernice"; daughter, Vera Danielson (Gary) of Coquitlam, BC; son, Roman "Ron" Fedorenko (Tracey) of Kamloops, BC; two grandchildren: Mark Danielson (Erin), Kirstin Danielson (David Pope); and one sister, Olga Martinenko and nephews in the Ukraine.
Prayers will be held on Monday, March 2nd, at 7:00 pm, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C.
A Funeral of Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, at 10:30 am, at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, 1091 Coronation Avenue, Kelowna, B.C., with the Very Rev. Andriy Werbowy officiating.
Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the B.C. Alzheimer Society, 865 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 6P6.
Krimmer, Elsie Frances

Elsie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 25, 2009.
She was 93 years old.
She is survived by her older sister, Lucy, her two children, Rodney and Karen, and her three grandchildren, Molly, Alison and Matthew.
Born to the Larcombe family in Minburn, Alberta, in 1915, Elsie chose to raise her family in Kelowna, B.C., with her husband, the late Nick Krimmer.
In her later years, she moved to Williams Lake, to be closer to her immediate family.
Elsie was independent in her outlook on life.
Her kindness, and humour will be missed by all who knew her.
WOYTENKO, WILLIAM (Bill)
April 13, 1920 - February 23, 2009
On February 23rd, Bill Woytenko passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He is survived by his four loving children, Ed (Lois) Woytenko, Shirley (Garnet) Burton, Bill (Mary) Woytenko and Deborah (Paul) Italiano; grandchildren Donna (Paul) Woodward, Cheryl (Darren) Wozny, Robert (Sandra) Woytenko, Brent and Mark Senio, Amanda and Taylor Woytenko; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Shelby and Tristen.
He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Goyan, Rose Screpnik and Ann (Steve) Eleniak; brothers, Mike (Joan) Fedorchuk and Nick (Olga) Fedorchuk, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his sister, Kay Klymchuk, brother, John Wotenko, brother, Fred Fedorchuk and sister, Elsie Paradis.
Bill was born in Waugh, Alberta, and moved to the Athabasca area as a young man.
He was a very successful farmer and was known for being at the forefront of new methods of raising animals and working the land.
He retired and moved to Edmonton, and then Kelowna, B.C.
Bill had a successful kidney transplant in 1983, and this kidney lasted for 25 years, the balance of Bill's life.
After Bill retired from farming, he became an avid cook and wine-maker and enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, including Europe.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, February 26th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Michael's & All Angels Cathedral, 608 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, B.C., on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 10:00 am, with burial at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, #320-1600 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V1Y 7N5.
Stone, Joy

It comes with great sadness, that the family announces the passing of their devoted Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Joy Stone, on Feb 22, 2009, in Kelowna General Hospital.
Born on April 13, 1925, Joy lived in Kelowna all of her life, living most of it in the Bankhead and Glenmore area.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bernie in 1996, daughter, Sandi in 2002 and daughter-in-law, Ann in 1999.
Also passing before her were: parents, Hilda and Harry Snowsell, brothers, Ernie, Len, and Frank, sister, Bea, sisters-in-law, Mary, Lois, Kath and brothers-in-law, Ed, Lloyd, Gordon, Earl and Joe.
Missing her now, are her children: Ken (Kathy), Al, Deb (Rich), and Sheri (Jim), her grandchildren: Bonnie (Ben), Corrine, Mitch (Christel), Heather (Dave), Lisa (Devin), Wendy, Kirsten, Carrie (Brad), and Lauren, and great-grandchildren: Avery, Madrea, Matthew, Shelby, Cale, Jessica, and Britney.
She is also missed by her sister, Gwen and family, sister, Mavis (John) and family, and brother-in-law, Gib (Shirley) and family.
She will always be remembered by her many friends and extended family.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the ICU, 4 East, and Respiratory Staff at K.G.H., for their care over the last 10 days.
Also, to the many prayers, words and visits from family and friends.
Joy was so fortunate to have so many people in her life.
She was easy to be loved by all.
We will miss you dearly, Mom.
"Go for your walk now to meet Dad and we will all meet up again some day."
A Celebration of Joy's Life will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 10:30 AM from the Kelowna Salvation Army Church, 1480 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna.

John Sabine passed away on February 22nd, 2009 at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 76 years.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana and his children, Arliss, Scott (Jan), Tony (Danielle) and Crystal, as well as 9 grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor in 1977.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 26th, at 1:00 pm at the Holiday Park in Kelowna.

It is with great sadness that we announce Valerie went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2009.
She passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side.
She was born in Montreal, Quebec, on October 21, 1916.
Valerie will be sadly missed and forever loved by her daughter, Kathy (Gary) Hayes of Kelowna; grandson, John (Jannel) Hayes of Kelowna, grandson and granddaughter, Douglas and Laura Findlay of Pointe Claire, Quebec.
Sadly predeceased by her husband, Jack (1983), daughter, Carol Findlay (1991) and granddaughter, Tammy Hayes (2003).
The family would like to give a very big "thank you" to all the wonderful staff members at Sun Pointe Village (Reid's Corner) who gave her such loving care for the past four years and especially during her final days with us.
There will be no service by request.
Her ashes will be placed next to her husbands in West Vancouver.
