Graduated from this life to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the age of 80. Survived by his loving wife Christel of 54 years, son Daniel Senkbeil (Rosalyn) of Fremont, CA, two grandchildren Heather and Daniel, daughter Carol Senkbeil (Enrico Josue) of Vancouver, sister Gisela Mueller and niece Angelika Mueller both of Germany.
Horst was born on September 15, 1932 in East Prussia. His family escaped Russian occupation in WWII and as a young man he immigrated to Canada in 1954, settling in Kitchener, ON. He worked as a metal fabricator and machinist and married Christel in 1958. After attending seminary in Frankfurt, Germany, he was youth and associate pastor at the German Pentecostal Church, Kitchener. In 1972 he moved his family to San Francisco to pastor the German Christian Church. In 1977 Horst and Christel established their home in Kelowna where he pastored Glenwood Pentecostal Assembly. He also pastored Elim Church in Santa Clara, CA for over a decade and was the West Coast Presbyter for the German District of the Assemblies of God. Horst continued to serve his community in senior visitation and retirement home ministries until mid 2011 when health concerns slowed his usual tireless efforts. Horst loved to travel, enjoyed sports and socializing and was a proud grandfather. His generosity touched everyone he met.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, 1991 Bernard Ave., Kelowna with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna.
BURROW, Brandon John

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce Brandon John Burrow, born February 8, 1984, in Edmonton, AB, passed away on November 8, 2012 at the age of 28. Surviving Brandon are: his beautiful daughter, Ray Leigh Burrow; mother, Karen Strate; father, John Burrow; brothers, Jared, Cody and Parker Burrow; grandparents, Kay and Georgina Strate; step-father Ron Irnie; step-brothers, Mathieu and Marcel Irnie; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and solid friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Trent.
Brandon moved with his family from Edmonton to Kelowna at the age of 8 and had been most recently residing in Revelstoke. His passions were skateboarding and snowboarding, both of which he excelled in. He had a zest for life and was quick to smile, laugh, and be a part of the action.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 15, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C. Brandon`s family welcomes all of Brandon`s friends and friends of the family.
Lucas, Urban Eugene

It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that we announce the passing of Urban (Luke) into the waiting arms of our Lord Jesus. Urban was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, parents Albert and Elsie, brothers Merlin, Keith and Albert (Bunny) and sisters Yvonne, Eileen and Shirley. He is survived by his twin sister Muriel (Mighty) O’Neil, brothers Carmen (Valerie) and Donny; daughters Juanita Lucas-Malley (John) of Cranbrook, B.C., Linda Findlay (Jim) of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren Aaron, Joe, Corey and Darcy; great-grandchildren; Lucas, Dezaray, Aaliyah, Teagan, Mica, Lillian, Skyla and Piper; as well as his loving companion Antonetta (Nettie) Dewit. Born in Downyville, ON, he settled in Kimberley, B.C., where he worked for Cominco. He was a volunteer fire-fighter and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Moving his family to Cranbrook in 1970 he was employed by the City of Cranbrook as a Fire-Fighter, then became an Emergency Paramedic where he maintained the position of Unit Chief at the Cranbrook station until his retirement in 1990. He spent his last years in Kelowna “for warmer weather and better golf.” Urban will be best remembered for his love of fiddling (he was a member of the B.C. Old Time Fiddlers), clogging, infectious grin and laughter. Urban was also a devoted member of the Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched. Father, Friend, Lover, Companion. Good-Bye Dad; missed but not forgotten. Love always. Memorial Service will be held at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Interment at later date. Cleton, Eric Michiel
November 16, 1961 — December 17, 2012

Peacefully passed away on December 17th, 2012 after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. Eric was born in Schiedam, South Holland on November 16, 1961. He met his wife on February 14, 2000 at Pierrepont, Frensham, Farnham, Surrey England. Eric immigrated to Canada in August 2000 and married his wife Elfrieda in September in Revelstoke, B.C. were they lived together until 2010 before relocating to Kelowna, B.C. While living in Revelstoke, Eric worked at Glacier Building Supplies/VicVan Isle Construction. In 2010, Eric was employed by KGH and Queen Victoria Hospital as an MDR Technician. Eric is survived by his loving wife Elfrieda; step-daughter Miranda Elliot (Aaron) of Kelowna; step-son Garet Hindman (Nicole) of Nanaimo; five grandchildren: Calleigh, Amira, Micah, Avery and Aria; his mother Cootje Koomen (Jan); sister Froukje Blanken (Jan) of the Netherlands; niece Sara Blanken and nephew Michiel Blanken. He is sadly predeceased by his father Michiel. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 21st at 1:00pm at New Life Church, 2041 Harvey Avenue, Kelowna B.C. VARGO, Richard (Rick) Allan

Passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the age of 67. Survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Dianne of 47 years; three daughters: Susan Carcamo (Carlos), Paula Vargo and Tiffany Haugrud (Colin) all of Calgary, AB; eight grandchildren: Ashley, Braedon, Isabelle, Emilie, Logan, Hudson, Miller and Samantha; one sister Gloria Dietrich (Charles) of West Kelowna and other family members. Rick was born in Regina, SK and worked at Sears as a Regional Manager for 34 years. He retired to Kelowna in 2000. Rick was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Monica Tamara Kayer of Kelowna, B.C. passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on November 30, 2012, at the age of 45, with her family at her bedside, after a brave and courageous two year battle with cancer. She leaves behind to mourn her loving husband Stephen; her Mom and Dad; sisters Evelyn (Pat), Jacqueline (Leslie) and her three nephews: Courtney, Tyrell and Rylan. She was born in Swift Current, SK to Anne and Tony Mulders on December 30, 1966. Monica never had a problem keeping herself busy with her various hobbies and activities, which included astronomy, photography, lampworking, jewelry making and of course her deep affection she had for her beloved Beagles. She will forever be remembered as the ‘Beagle Lady’ in the neighbourhood. Your journey here is over, free from the pain and suffering that you have had to endure. Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the age of 26. Survived by his loving wife Shauna Fitzgerald; his father Rick Hoeschle (Karen Haralds); his mother Pam Hoeschle; sister Amanda Hoeschle; step-brother Parker Haralds; Shauna’s parents Cliff Fitzgerald and Norma Campbell; his grandparents Kurt Hoeschle and Lynn Deacon; Bill and Alice Anderson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Matt loved his work and was passionate about working on cars, especially BMW’s. Matt loved anything to do with speed, be it rides at Disneyland, mountain biking or skiing. He will be remembered and forever in our hearts. Matt will be sadly missed. NEITSCH, Eric

Eric Neitsch, age 82, born September 3, 1930, husband of Hedy Neitsch (Dobslaff), his devoted wife of 59 years, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2013. Born in Troshin Poland, Eric is survived by his brother Theodore Neitsch (wife Frieda), his sister Freida Steffl (husband Herb), his 3 loving children, Erica (Leslie) Martel, David Neitsch and Renee Neitsch (Brad Dahl), grandchildren Benjamin and Jesse Neitsch and their mother Michele. Eric was a long time resident of Winfield B.C., arriving in Canada in 1950 from Germany. Shortly after arriving and getting married, Eric and Hedy bought their orchard and have resided there ever since, having their 3 children along the way. Eric worked the orchard well into his 70s, and also had a long 30 year career at B.C. Growers at the Winfield packing plant. Eric loved his trees, spending many hours on the land over the years while working his regular job, and with wife Hedy, demonstrated and instilled hard-working attitudes in his 3 children. Eric was a devout Christian, attending Church throughout his life. He was a straightforward man who loved the land, his hockey team (the Boston Bruins), fishing and ice fishing, and most of all his family. Eric will be remembered for his kind, quiet ways and helping others shine, never seeking the spotlight but always being a strong presence behind the scenes. Eric is in God’s hands now and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The Service will be officiated by Pastor Lee Loveridge and held at First Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna on Friday April 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Reception to follow. Eric will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, B.C.
