Adam Lee Lubieniecki

ADAM LEE Laid To Rest Adam Lee Lubieniecki, 60, died November 23, 2008 at his home in Prince George, B.C. Adam was born March 8, 1948 in Germany. A longtime resident of Prince George, he worked as a trucker and logger. Adam was a gifted and avid boxer, who took great pride in physical fitness. He enjoyed running to the top of Connaught Hill Park and frequent trips to Ave Maria Health Food Store. He is survived by his daughter Candice, mother Celina. Predeceased by his brother, George. Adam will be greatly missed by his friends and acquaintances. May he rest in peace with the Lord. As per request, a private interment will be held in the spring for the family. Anyone wishing to send condolences to the family please contact Lakewood Funeral Home.

Ron Danroth

DANROTH - Ron Danroth passed away December 2, 2008 at the age of 69. He is survived by daughters Sherrey (Jason), Shelley (Marvin), sons Don (Vicky), Ron, Sue, Ray (Kathy), Shane (Coralee). also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be cremated and at his request there will be no funeral service.

Robert Cunningham
May 24, 1928 - November 28, 2008

Bob has passed away after a long illness. He is survived by his daughters Carol and Terry and grandchildren, a sister Helen, nieces & nephews. He will also be remembered by his many friends and acquaintances. Sleep well old friend

ANDERSON, Laura

ANDERSON, Laura went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2008, at the age of 97. She is survived by her daughters: Valerie Klassen and Carolyn Drewlo (Ed), 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Carlton Valleau (Hannah) of Saskatoon and 1 sister, Blanche Beckett of Wasilla, Alaska. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Link Anderson (1994), brothers: William Valleau, Roy Valleau, and son-in-law, Vern Klassen (1992). The family wishes to acknowledge the dedicated and compassionate care of the care workers and nursing staff of Northern Health and We Care especially over the period of the last three years during Laura's physical confinement. Laura's family is also grateful to Dr's McLeod and Grobbelaar for their special attention and support during this time. A Memorial Service for Laura will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 1:30 PM from Lakewood Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army through whom Laura found the Lord for which she was forever grateful.

LARSSON, Eugen Georg
1929 ~ 2008

Passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2008 in Village at Smith Creek Care Home, Westbank, B.C. Born in Jevnaker, Norway June 30, 1929 to Reidar and Ruth (siblings; Ronald and Cecilia). Married 1949 to beloved wife Inger of 51 years, they came to Canada in 1955 and carved out of the wilderness a dream called Panorama Ranch, Fort St. James. Eugen was Woodlands Manager for Stuart Lake Lumber. Past President of many organizations including B.C. Cattlemen's Assn. Honoured with distinction for his valuable contributions to Omineca Peace, Land and Resource Management Plan. Predeceased by wife Inger and son-in-law Rick Howse (2000). Survived by his dear children Marit (Chuck) Davies, Randi (Ron) Done, Kurt (Joanne) Larsson, and Rosemarie (Lionel) Conant; grandchildren: Christine, Michael, Kelsi, Tara, Chad, Ryan and Jason; great-grandchildren: Mica and Jorden. Also survived by his loving wife Gina (Georgina) (2004); her daughters: Judy and Sharon; grandchildren: Evan, Ashley, Chelsea, Landon, Keaton, Warner, and Kyler; great-grandchildren: Rayanne and Rylan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelowna General Hospital. Condolences may be sent to www.springfieldfuneralhome.com (250)860-7077. Muriel Burns

BURNS Muriel passed away peace

BURNS - Muriel passed away peacefully on Nov 28, 2008 at the age of 85. Survived by her children Valerie (Earl) Jackson, Linda (Donald) Tull, David (Vicki) Burns all of Prince George, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a sister Betty (Lloyd) Ryan of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Burns and sister Vera Gilks. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 on December 5, 2008, at Assman's Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Prince George Cemetery. She retired from city hall in the 1980's. We would like to thank the ICU staff for their personnel care during this difficult time.

ASPA, JOAN MARY "DUCKY"
October 10, 1918 - November 26, 2008

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home at the age of ninety. She leaves behind her husband of 57 years Julian, her four sons Chris, Steve, Mike and Greg and foster daughter June. They will forever cherish her memory. Joan will forever be remembered for her beautiful landscape and portrait artwork that hang in the living rooms of many Prince George families. Joan was also an accomplished knitter. Most of her knitting she donated to the hospital auxiliary of the Vernon Hospital. Joan and Jullian spent their retirement years overlooking Okanagan Lake in Vernon. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.

PLANTE - Anita Marie passed away peacefully, family at her side,Saturday, November 29, 2008 @ PGRH. Anitais survived by her loving husband, Romeo (60 yrs.),her children: Rosalie (Chris) Wells, Delorie (Tom) Moran, Suzanne (Vic) Aubichon, Giselle (Gordon) Birch, Marina (Mike) Howlett & Norris (Claudette) Plante, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers; Maurice (Connie) Marquette, Lorne (Elonda) Marquette, sisters; Betty (Harold) Mann & Lena Pelletier. Prayers & visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church.The Funeral Mass will follow Thurs. Dec. 4, 2008 @ 10:00 a.m., with Fr. ENGELBERTS, JOZEF (JOE)
1928 - 2008

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Joe Engelberts on November 18, 2008, after a lengthy illness with Parkinsons disease. Joe was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada with his bride, Trudy in 1953. They settled on a farm in Saskatchewan and later moved their family to British Columbia in 1959. During their marriage, they had four children, Marcel, Betty, Joe and Rayburn who passed as a child in 1968. In 1976 Joe began working for the City of Prince George as a mechanic. He retired in 1989 when he started becoming ill with prostate cancer. Joe will be sadly missed by Sonia, his companion for the last 27 years. Left to mourn him are his children, Betty (Martin), grandchildren Brian and Jason; Joe (Beverly), grandson Michael; Marcel (Maria), grandchildren Dustin, Kyle and Vanessa. His extended family: Carmen (Peter) grandchildren Jacqueline, Justine and Patrick; Adam (Adrienne) granddaughter Alexis. Joe will be missed by the people who loved him and admired for his strength during several years of illness. The family wishes to thank Dr. Raymond and the staff at Simon Fraser Lodge who provided such good nursing care to Joe. Services will be private as requested.

David Edward Seymour

SEYMOUR - David Edward passed away on November 24th, 2008, after 8 years of blindness, 7 years with emphysema and oxygen 24 hours a day. David was born on June 13th, 1926 in Vernon, B.C. attending school in Vernon. He served in the Army during the Second World War. He moved to Kelowna to work in Gordon's Meat Market. There he met Joceline and they married in August 1952. In 1953 they moved to Prince George, where he went to work as a butcher for Royal Produce for the next 28 years. He then went to work with Phil Duchscherer operating Rogers meats on Dominion Street, until selling his shares to Trent Keim. David finally retired from work in June 1988. He was a "Life Member" of the Elks and known as "Mr. Elk". He was Exalted Ruler, held all chairs and was District Deputy. He was a past President of the B.C. Elks Association, Veteran of the Royal Canadian Legion, 20 years a volunteer Fireman, Pipe Major of the Rotary Pipe Band. He was honoured by the Elks, Legion, City of Prince George for outstanding Community Service Award and in 1996 by the 13th Carney Hill Scouting Group for his years of Service. His hobbies were golfing, curling and fishing. David is survived by his wife, Joceline of 56 years, sisters-in-law, Dora Mortimer and Fran Seymour, his sister Grace Gotch and many nieces, nephews and their children in Calgary, Kelowna, Merritt, Vernon, Regina, Richmond and Williams Lake. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Agnes, sister Winnie, brothers Ted and Jack and nephew Victor. Special thanks to Dr. Kelly and staff who were always there for Dave and thanks also to our Paramedics. No service by request. VOGAN, Terence "Doc"
July 8, 1958 ~ November 26, 2008

With great sadness we announce the passing of Terry, after a brief illness. Predeceased by his father, Bill Vogan, survived by his daughter, Lindsay Miller (Johnny) and unborn grandson, his mother Peggy, brother Bill, sister Ginny (Fred) Burnett. Nieces; Tracy, Amelia, Siobhan, nephew Ryan, uncles, aunts and cousins, his co-workers and countless friends. A celebration of Terry's life will be held at Peggy's on Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm. BYOB. Oh for the touch of a hand that has vanished and sound of a voice that is stilled.
