Marian Roberta Neal passed away Friday March 20th 2009 in the loving arms of her family.
Marian will be remembered by her loving family:
Lorraine Lepine & Arlen Messmer, Dustin Lepine, step-children Derek & Kim (Karissa, Robert, Victoria) Jennifer Booth (Haley, Hannah, Dillon), Sydney and Branden Messmer;
William & Donna Neal, Darren & Paige (Blaize), Trevor, Kaitlin; Charleen & John Bertoli, Rolynda & Adam Simpson ( Anna, Luke, Jane), Christopher & Bonnie (Kale) Maria, Jon-Michael; Roberta & Ron Hluschyk, Conor & Rebecca (Jarrek) Blair (Kelly);
Suzann & Rick Lane, Chad, Travis; and Corinne & Gary Bertoli, Ethan, Stacey.
She will also be remembered by her brother and sister in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and some very wonderful friends.
Marian’s life began in Edmonton in 1937. She moved to B.C. in 1949 and met the love of her life Charlie Neal in 1951. They married in Prince George in 1956 and then moved to Kamloops in 1961. Marian was an excellent home maker for 6 children and husband. She had a very successful career in retail, including being an owner operator of Westsyde Market and KamLake View Meats.
Marian loved being surrounded by family & friends and took pride in being a Care Giver. She also loved to get together with friends and family for Happy Hour at anytime, she loved to watch hockey, especially her favourite team the Canucks. She also supported her grandchildren by being an active spectator at all their sporting events. Every summer she enjoyed camping, always in a big group. Her other interests were quilting, as she made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren, she also loved to embroider and do most crafts.
Marian’s family would like to express a Special Thank you to: Don and Daphne Perry (family friends), Rachel Kealey (Body Talk), All the Nurses, Care Aids and Volunteers at the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice House, Dr. Bruce Newmarch & Dori, Dr. Baker and Kamloops/Kelowna Cancer Clinics.
The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday March 28th 2009 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Kamloops Funeral Home.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Marian’s memory to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice House.

Romeo Archambault
October 10, 1935 - March 21, 2009
Romeo Archambault died peacefully with his family at his bedside, at the Pine Grove Lodge in Kamloops B.C. on March 21, 2009.
Left to mourn his death are his loving wife Pearl of 31 years; his brothers Fred (Carol), and Gerry (Adrienne); sister Lea; and his step-daughter’s children Ciera, Riley and Tyson.
He was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Cecile and step-daughter Sandy.
Romeo was born on October 10, 1935 in St. Amelie Manitoba. He was a hard worker, reliable and determined. He worked at various jobs in the lumber and mining industries, and as a carpenter’s helper in Ontario and B.C.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the dedicated staff of Pine Grove Lodge for their consideration and care of Romeo. A special thank you to Dr. Mavis Hollman for her exceptional commitment to Romeo.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Road. Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen, Celebrant.

February 24, 1921 - March 22, 2009
James H. Walsh of Kamloops passed away on March 22, 2009 at 88 years of age.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Shirley, daughter Linda (Paul) Walsh of Burnaby B.C., son Tom (Marlene) Walsh of Kamloops, daughter Barbara Ramsey of Kamloops, and granddaughters Catherine, Rachel and Kaylie.
He was predeceased by his mother Grace, father Thomas, and brother Roger.
Jim was born on February 24, 1921 in Terrace B.C. to Grace and Thomas Walsh. He has a long career in telecommunications, starting off as a telegraph operator and ending as a repeater attendant. He had a life-long love of Ham Radios and he spent many hours communicating with friends and acquaintances all over the world all on his radio. Jim was a gentle, caring man who loved his family above all else. He was a simple man who enjoyed nothing better than a great meal, he is now enjoying his heavenly banquet.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1550 Tranquille Rd., with Pastor Al Robbins officiating.
Memorial donations in Jim’s name may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation or the Gideon Bible Society.

It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Arnold Oakley announces his passing on Monday, March 23, 2009, at the age of 70 years.
Phil will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Sandra and his children, Debbie, Philip (Denise), Jim (Kathy), and Derek (Laura). Phil will also be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Andrea, Chris, Ashley, Jennifer, Serena, Stephanie, Tanisha, Sydney, and Chelsea and by his brother Ron (Irene). Philip was predeceased by his father James, mother Dorothy, and by his brother Bill.
A Celebration of Life for Phil will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive.

MARY CECELIA WHITE
July 21, 1926 - December 30, 2008
Mary White passed away peacefully into rest on December 30, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, John; children Andrew (Shelley) White of Yarrow B.C., Tom (Kathy) White of Winnipeg MB, and Mary Ann Androlick of Kamloops; grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) & Peter (Stacy) White of Edmonton AB, Jennifer & Myles White of Winnipeg MB, and Jake & Cole Androlick of Kamloops BC; great-granddaughter Sophie White of Edmonton; sister Helen Perry of Vancouver and Joan (Ian) Morrison of Toronto ON; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother George Perry, and sisters Esther (Roy) Jacobson, Lucille Thorn and Lorraine (Harry) Romeo.
Mary was born on July 21, 1926 in Revelstoke B.C. She graduated from nursing at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver in 1948 and went on to work at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, Mt. St. Joseph’s Hospital in Vancouver and Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. Mary and John were married on July 20, 1949 in Revelstoke. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church since 1967 and was also a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League and served as an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. One of Mary’s favourite things was a sailboat called “The Proud Mary”, she loved to run the wind. She also enjoyed curling, lawn bowling, and simply spending time with her beloved family. Mary left a special message for her family and friends-
“I love you very much. You have brought me so much happiness and joy.
I thank God for each of you. I ask you to remember me in your prayers.”
Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen, Celebrant. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at the Hillside Cemetery.

Sara "Sally" Schroeder
August 2, 1917 - December 28, 2008
Sally was born on August 2, 1917 in Weidenfeld, Manitoba and passed away peacefully at The Hamlets in Kamloops, B.C. on December 28, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Jacob, her four children, Ken (Mary Ann), Al (Sophie), Valery (Bill Braden), Barry (Karen), 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She lived a life of service to her family, extended family and friends in Altona (Manitoba), Vanderhoof, Cloverdale, Richmond, Langley, Abbotsford, Vernon and Kamloops in B.C. Her home was a place of welcome and a place where people came in times of need. Many people have appreciated her calm, quiet, and caring counsel.
She was an example, a role model, and an inspiration to her family and community in her faith, and as a wife, mother and home-maker.
We will cherish her memory and dearly miss her.

MATHEW FRANKLIN GRYBOS
January 12, 1983 - March 26, 2009
Mathew Franklin Grybos, aged 26, passed away in a tragic work accident on March 26, 2009.
He leaves behind his common-law wife Danielle, parents Frank and Nella, and brother Joey. He will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many friends that Mathew held close to his heart.
Mathew grew up in Kamloops and spent the last three years working on the oil rigs in Alberta. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Mathew will be dearly missed by all his family.
Viewing will take place from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2009 in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home.
