Raymond James Shea
April 11, 1943 - September 24, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Shea, on September 24, 2011 at the age of 68 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Tatamagouche, NS, on April 11, 1943, he joined the air force at the age of 18. Throughout his military career, he was posted at many locations across the country. He retired from the military, Mt Lolo station, in 1983 as a sergeant, and began a career in real estate, which he thoroughly enjoyed until suffering a stroke in 1993.
Ray had an amazing sense of humor and always had a story to tell. He loved camping, fishing, gardening, reading, and his family.
Ray will be lovingly remembered by Donna, his wife of 43 years, son Jeff (Lia) of Dawson Creek, daughter Heather of Vancouver, grand children Chloe and Adam, and sisters Elaine (John) Grover of Truro, NS, and Myrna Mawson of Sackville, NS, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express the deepest gratitude to the staff of Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, who took the greatest care of Ray and made his final weeks more comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, or the BC Cancer Society.A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Dr, at 2pm, Thursday, September 29.

Connor Alan Avramovic
July 1, 1992 - September 25, 2011
With sorrow in our hearts we regret to announce the sudden passing of our Connor.
He is survived by his loving family, Mom Audrey Harrison, Dad Peter Avramovic, his brother and best friend, Travis Avramovic, his Grandparents, Jim & Betty, Grama Adua Elbracht, aunty Debbie Harrison, uncle Rick (Liza) Harrison, uncle George (Deb) Avramovic, and uncle Steve (Ruth) Avramovic, and numerous cousins who loved him dearly. Predeceased by his Papa Karl.
Connor was born and raised in Kamloops. He had recently graduated from Westsyde Secondary in 2010. Connor was currently a full time student as T.R.U working towards his Bachelor of Science Degree with his ultimate goal of becoming a Physician, inspired by his older brother Travis to continue in the medical field.
Connor lived his life with enthusiasm and passion and spread this passion for life with all he met through his infectious smile and laughter.
Connor loved to spend time with family and life long friends. Always encouraging any opportunity to share in a gathering.
Connor always enjoyed being outdoors, camping, playing soccer, boating, hiking and biking.
We will always love you and keep you close within our hearts “Our Little Conman”.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest “Thank You” to all of the medical professions who provided care to Connor.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Calvary Temple, 1205 Rogers Way on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

Marion Joan Boomer
April 4, 1932 - October 2, 2011
Marion Joan Boomer of Kamloops passed away on October 2, 2011 at 79 years of age.
She is survived by her loving children; Wayne (Kris) Boomer of Williams Lake, Brenda Richardson of Kamloops, Lynne (Wayne) Wessels of Williams Lake, and Karl (Roxanne Boomer of Duncan, BC,
She will be greatly missed by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, sisters, Irma Kaulback of Courtenay, BC and Louise Turner of Salmo, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold Boomer in 2003 and son Rick Boomer in 1975.
Marion was born on April 4, 1932 in Calgary, Alberta were she resided until her move to British Columbia in 1949 and lived in Burnaby, Squamish, Williams Lake, Courtenay and Kamloops.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC.

Stanley Howard Ernst
March 29, 1954 - October 1, 2011
Stanley Howard Ernst of Kamloops passed away on October 1, 2011 at 57 years of age.
He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, children Stacy (Crystal), Travis, grandchildren, Tristan and Aislynn, parents Howard and Bertha Ernst, mother-in-law Juliette Lefaivre, sisters Valerie (John) Sawtazky, Judy (Don) Beskorwayne, Janet Ernst, brother-in-law Leo Lefaivre and Romeo (Marilyn) Lefaivre.
Stan was predeceased by his brother Clarence Ernst, sister-in-law Ella Akers, Diana Russell and father-in-law Hubert Lefaivre.
Stan was born in Prince Albert on March 29, 1954 where he grew up on a farm in Sturgeon Valley Saskatchewan. He started driving truck in Prince Albert right out of high school. He later met Phyllis and were married in 1979 and then in 1988 moved to Kamloops, BC.
Stan enjoyed camping, fishing, dance, playing cards and helping out friends and family
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 8, 2011 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive with Mary Widmer officiating.

Randy Carl Nickerson
July 19, 1960 - March 18, 2008
Randy Carl Nickerson of Port Hardy/Kamloops BC lost his battle with cancer on March 18, 2008 at the age of 47.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Nickerson; children Katie and Rachel of Nanaimo BC, James of Red Deer Alberta, Dee of Toronto Ontario, and Joseph of Brooks Alberta; grandchildren Gabriel (James) and Rachel due in June; parents Betty and Ed McIntyre of Kamloops BC; siblings Chris, Barb (Marty) and Victor (Cathie) Nickerson of Kamloops, Trista (Grant) Williamson, and Tianna (Ryan) Doyle of Port Hardy; and many other relatives, Thor, Troy, Talaina, Teagan, Stephanie, Breanna and Ashley of Kamloops; Brendan, Sydney, Tierra, and Noah of Port Hardy; Chantelle of Red Deer; and Tia Nickerson of Campbell River BC.
Predeceased by his father Carl Harvard Nickerson.
Born in Nelson BC, Randy grew up in the small towns of Vancouver Island, southern BC and Alberta. He then became an honest, generous friend and father. A hard working logger on Vancouver Island and coastal mainland. After a logging injury, he chose to stay in the logging industry, hauling logs, Super B, in central Alberta.
Randy loved to make people laugh and his sense of humour will surely be missed
A special thanks to David and the staff of Kamloops Hospice for trying to make his last hours comfortable; Dr. Avanessian and staff of the Kamloops Cancer Clinic;
Dr. Burris who was always there to help; and to Dr. Michael Barnett and the staff at the Bone Marrow Transplant ward of the Jim Pattison Pavilion in Vancouver.
A Celebration of Randy’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Seagate Wharf in Port Hardy BC.

ADRIENNE MARIE LANOUE
June 18, 1923 - November 5, 2011
Mom passed away peacefully at the Hamlets at Westsyde on November 5, 2011.
She is survived by her loving son Ron (Audrey), grandchildren Kathy (Andrew), Kim, Joanne (Gary), great grandchildren Matthew, Kevin, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Natalie, Michael and Caden. Mom is also survived by her sisters Gabe and Teresa and her brother Paul plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Howard (2009), son Larry (1999) and ten brothers and sisters.
Mom will be missed for her great sense of humor. She could really pump out the jokes. We had a lot of laughs together before she got sick.
We love and miss you dearly mom.
The family would like to thank the Hamlets for their excellent care of mom.
