Peter Daniel - late of Abbotsford, B.C. past away suddenly, March 22, 2003, at the age of 40 years.
Survived by his loving family and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 28, 2003 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford, B.C. Pastor Jake Tilitzky will officiate.

McDONALD, RODERICK - Saturday, 22 Mar 2003
Rod passed away suddenly on March 22, 2003 at his home in Dewdney, B.C. at 64 years of age. Rod was born in Mission on November 28, 1938 and lived his entire life in the Mission area. Rod was a well known towboat captain and commercial fisherman for almost 50 years.
Rod will be sadly missed by his four sons Steve (Fran), Kevin (Elizabeth), Mike (Bonnie), and Stewart (Lesley); and his wife Judy. His joy in life was his grandchildren; Christopher, Mandy, Amanda, Michael, Bradley, Cameron and Abigail.
Rod will also be missed by his younger sister Kathleen, his sister Miriam and Brice MacDougall and their family and by his mother-in-law Vi Inch (Nanny).
Rod was predeceased by his mother Edith (Nana Mac), his father George (Grandpa Mac), his brother Archie, and his father-in-law Jim Inch.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 30th, 2003 at 1:30 p. m. at the Clarke Foundation Theatre at 33700 Prentis Avenue, Mission, B.C.

MELNICK, WILLIAM - Thursday, 20 Mar 2003
William Alexander Melnick, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on March 20, 2003 at the age of 79, surrounded by family and friends in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is greatly missed and will forever be remembered by his devoted family; wife Elizabeth, son Peter, daughter Jennifer (James), grandson Brandon and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held at Henderson's Funeral Home in Abbotsford on March 24, 2003.

DUXBURY, GRACE - Wednesday, 19 Mar 2003
On March 19th, 2003 Grace Veronica May Duxbury died peacefully at her home in Yarrow with her family by her side. Born at Liverpool, England May 28th, 1917. Predeceased by her husband George in 1984.
The Duxbury's emigrated to Canada in 1945 residing in White Rock until 1957 when they moved to Yarrow and established Mountain View Home, a special care home for challenging mentally ill clients.
Grace continued to cook her delicious meals at the facility until January 2003 working with her daughter Katherine and her son-in-law Patrick Newby. Grace worked to develop a unique standard of care, understanding and appreciation for those with psychiatric and medical illnesses. A special lady in a special place.
Grace truly had a zest for life matched by few, her loves included family, friends, travelling and various hobbies. She will be lovingly missed by two daughters Elizabeth Borthwick, Katherine Newby (Patrick), her beloved grandchildren Sarah Teichroeb (Gordon); twin sister Jenny Ryce (Scott); Tristan and Kate Newby and her great-grandchild Darrian Ryce.
No service at her request. All who knew this wonderful lady will miss Gracie. Thank you to friends and caregivers for their kindness.

Isaac, Gerhardt, at MSA Hospital on March 15, 2003, aged 74 years.
Gerhardt is survived by his loving wife Helen, family Harry (Irma) Isaac, Matthew (Lynelle) and Darren, Doris Fast, Charlene (Steve), Jessica Bozzard, Diane, Stephanie, Richard Isaac, Joe and Leanne, Bonita (Wolf) Buddee, Monika and Christopher.
Memorial Service on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 2:00 p. m. in the South Abbotsford Church, 32424 Huntingdon Road, Abbotsford.

GREER, GLORIA - Wednesday, 19 Mar 2003
After a very brief illness, we are sorry to announce Mrs. Gloria Ann Greer, late of Abbotsford passed away on March 19, 2003 at the age of 69 years, at Royal Columbian Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bill, daughter Bev (Frank), son Bob (Chris) and 5 grandsons Luke, Darren, Trevor, Cassidy and Campbell; sisters Olga (Roger), Vicki (Dirk), Adeline, Phyllis and Joyce (Murray); her extended family Morris (Diane), Marg, Violet, Edna (Ken), Gord (Caroline), Ernie (Bea) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Michael (1962) and mother Helen (1991).
She always had a smile for everyone. She sold Avon for 20 years making wonderful friends along the way.
She volunteered for many organizations and was always willing to help out.
A memorial srvice will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 1:30 p. m. from the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, followed by a reception at The Rancho, 35110 Delair Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.

MACDONALD, GORDON - Monday, 17 Mar 2003
Gordon Ralph MacDonald passed away peacefully at M. S. A. Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C. on Monday, March 17th, 2003 at the age of 86 years.
He is survived by his wife Nell, daughters Lynn & Susan; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. There will not be a service or memorial as per his wishes. May he rest in peace.

WIEBE, WILLIAM (BILL) - Monday, 17 Mar 2003
William (Bill) George Wiebe passed away peacefully March 17, 2003 at the MSA Hospital at the age of 90 following a heart attack. Born in Hepburn Sask, Dec. 30, 1012, he grew up in Dalmeny on the family farm. He moved to the Abbotsford area in 1944 with his wife and children. During these years he was involved in sales, most notably for Eaton's of Canada and Peacock Furniture.
He will fondly be remembered for his many community and church involvements.
Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth of 66 years, daughters Dolores (Al) Brandt of San Jose Ca., Elaine (Clark) Allen of Dallas, Oreg., daughter-in-law Shirley Wiebe of Abbotsford. Grandchildren Kimberly Nachman, Sheri Pine, Lori Leander, Kevin Allen, Jeff Wiebe, Jason Wiebe, and Jordon Wiebe; 7 great-grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter. Brothers John, Walter and George; sisters Helen, Mary and Margaret. He was predeceased by his son Ron Wiebe and granddaughter Cinthia Brandt.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday March 21st at 2:00 p. m. at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford. A viewing will be held Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p. m. at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 3070 275A St., Aldergrove, as well as Friday at 9:30 to 10:30 a. m. at Central Heights Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services International.

APPERLOO, HILDA (HILTJE) - Sunday, 16 Mar 2003
Mrs. Hilda (Hiltje) Apperloo, late of Abbotsford, passed away on March 16, 2003 at the age of 87 years, at MSA Hospital.
She is survived by 6 children; Ron (Bea) Apperloos, Tina Rozendal-Bosgra (Jake), Jenny (Clarence) Tuin, Ted (Edith) Apperloo, Gerrit (Lize) Apperloo, Leo (Cindy) Apperloo, 27 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters in The Netherlands.
She was predeceased by husband Simon Apperloo (1980), 1 son, 1 grandson, 1 great-grandchild, 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 son-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 1:00 p. m. from Gateway community Church at 1951 McCallum Road, with Rev. Bert Slofstra officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ebenezer Home in Hilda's memory.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ebenezer Home and the fursing staff on 3 West at MSA Hospital for their excellent care.

March 11, 1923 to March 16, 2003
Beloved "Mom" of Dave (Flo), Ray (Norma), and Robert (Barb).
Predeceased by "Pop" Len, ex RCN 1996. Both will be remembered as lovers of family, friends and all animals.
Mom was a world class knitter for family and friends and those less fortunate, a loyal hospital auxillary volunteer and TOPS member.
The family thanks the staff of Ebenezer Home for their excellent care where Mom felt at "home" and among friends.
Private service to be held later.

John "Tex" Peter Weigel, late of Mission, B.C. passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Maple Ridge Hospital at the age of 69 years.
John was a member of the Horse Racing Commission.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 29, 10:00 a. m. at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission, B.C. with Pastor Darryl Savage officiating.
