Dorothy Mary McClellan passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 87 years.
She was born March 13, 1920 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Norman; son, Jeffrey; daughters: Sandra and Shelley; and grandchildren, Darren, Stephanie, and Elaine.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home; Tim Rowan officiating.
COUTTS, Marie Suzanne (nee Gagnon) - Tuesday, 03 Jul 2007
Marie Suzannne Coutts (nee Gagnon) aged 65, died - Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital.
She was born February 24, 1942 in Kelowna, B.C. to the late Marcel and Suzannne Gagnon.
She graduated from Hope Secondary in 1960 and began nurse’s training at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
In spite of being stricken with mental illness, which she battled courageously for the rest of her life, she managed to work as a secretary and then became co-owner of a beauty salon in Hope.
Her kindness, generosity (there was always someone more in need than herself) and sense of humour helped her through difficult times.
Her passing will leave a gap in our lives. Marie is survived by her daughter Theresa, grandson: Winter Allen, both of Kelowna; her brothers: Ray (Breeda) Gagnon of Hope and Peter (Mary-Susan) Gagnon of Chilliwack; her sister Yvonne (Bill ) Kennedy of Prince George; and her special friend Alain Marchand of Chilliwack. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her nephew Aaron Gagnon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tueday, July 10, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 671 Water Street, Hope B.C. Fr. Claude Noel, celebrant.
Interment at the Catholic Cemetery in Hope.
We would like to thank all of the staff in Psychiatry at Chilliwack Hospital, the Mental Health Support staff, especially Leanne Rudolph and all the staff at Topaz Place for their caring support to Marie.

Frisco Gutierrez passed away suddenly at the age of 63 at the Royal Columbian Hospital. Frisco was born in Agassiz, B.C.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Myra; sons: Reuben (Mary) and Thomas; daughters: Tracey (Laurie) and Mamey (Danny); grandchildren: Joseph, Terrance, Dakoda and Ryan; great-grandchild: Kiera; brother-in-law: Barry; nephews: Jesse (Pam) and Cody; mother, Matilda; father, Alan; brothers, Joe (Kathy), Louie (Wilma), David; sisters: Mary, Delores, Edna (Ritchie), Darlene and Ella; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Frisco is predeceased by brother Martin (Geraldine), Mamey-Rose (sister), Kevin (son), Winkie (sister-in-law) and John (father-in-law)
A memorial service was held Fri., July 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
Our hope is that Friso (Dad) is now resting in peace. We will always remember, miss and love you.
PANCHISHIN, Helen (nee Klulaczkowski) - Monday, 02 Jul 2007

Helen passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital Extended Care Unit in Comox, B.C. She is predeceased by her husband Michael, her son Morris, her daughter Margaret (Caldwell), and son Ronald. She is survived by her sons Edward of Black Creek, B.C., Donald of New Westminster, B.C., and Arthur of Abbotsford, B.C. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Helen was loved and admired by many for her involvement and contributions to church, school and community activities in Nelson, New Westminster, Yale and Abbotsford, B.C.
A funeral service celebrating Helen’s life will be held at 1:00pm, - Thursday, July 12, 2007 in the Holy Spirit Catholic Ukrainian Church in Chilliwack, B.C., Father Myraslav Cryviac officiating. A reception in the Church Hall will follow the burial service.

Charles Louie Sr., late of Chilliwack, passed away on July 2, 2007.
He was born in Vancouver, B.C. on December 12, 1954.
He is survived by his loving family, wife Patty, sons: Alex (Chrissy), Charles Jr. (Yanka) and Cameron; daughters: Tanya (Richard), Julianne (Dion); and nine grandchildren; mother; Bernadette (Louie); mother in-law: Yvonne (Joe); two brothers: John (Karen), and Marlon; sisters: Linda (Jeff), Maggie (Sylvester), Cynthia (Andy), Lenora, and Wanda (Rolf); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Prayers will be held at 46688 Bailey Rd, - Friday, July 6th, 2007 at 7 pm.
There will be a service held at the Tzeachten Hall, on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:00 am.

LOOP, Gilbert John - Monday, 02 Jul 2007
Gilbert John Loop, born Dec. 10, 1920, 250 Maple St, Vancouver, B.C., deceased - Monday, July 2, 2007, Cascade Lodge, Chilliwack.
Gilbert’s gift was socializing. He was proud of his 50+ years of membership in the carpenters’ union. He had many ups and downs in his life, in the end, his helpfulness and goodness prevailed.
He was predeceased by his three bothers: Stanley, Roy, and Bill. Gilbert was also predeceased by two wives who each enriched his life — Jean and Dorothea.
Gilbert is survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Pickering; his daughter, Jane Loop; son: David Loop; nephew: Ray Loop; step-daughter: Doreen Mumford, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Thank you to all the people who helped and cared for Gilbert along the way, especially Teresa and all the caregivers at Cascade Lodge.
No service by request. Give someone a hand with a project. This was Gilbert’s specialty.
Rest in peace Gilbert. You are missed, loved and leave many memories.

Robert “Bob” Arthur Chapman of Hylan Home, Abbotsford passed away peacefully on July 2, 2007 at the age of 67 years at MSA Hospital.
Robert was born on July 8, 1939 in Chilliwack, B.C.
He is survived by his loving wife Angela of 32 years; son, Lloyd; daughter, Susan; sister, Shirley Bellamy; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
A graveside service will be held in Chilliwack at a later date.

Mike took the Lord’s hand on March 17, 2006 and is now at peace in the Arms of the Almighty.
He leaves behind his soulmate and companion of 63 years, Nora Deane, two sons David and Terry Deane; two daughters Wendy Duke and Jillian Murphy and -sister Peggy Farina.
He was the proud Grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mike was a teacher in Swan River, Manitoba and Burnaby, British Columbia for 22 years and left his teaching profession to follow his dream and open “Michael Deane Services”, his own Income Tax Consulting Business in North Vancouver. He was also heavily involved in Air Cadets as Commanding Officer of the 525 Squadron in West Vancouver.
Mike was a giver and never a taker, his smile, jokes and loving way will be sadly missed by all who knew him and his spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 24 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 25th at Henderson’s Funeral Home.

JAGGER, Kenneth Arthur - Thursday, 16 Mar 2006
Kenneth Arthur Jagger, late of Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. passed away in Chilliwack on March 16, 2006 at the age of 62. He was born January 24, 1944 in Toronto, Ontario.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #32 and had served in the military from 1961-1993. He worked at the Cultus Lake Provincial Park in maintenance. He was instrumental in organizing the Emergency Awareness Program in Harrison. He enjoyed golfing, camping and walking his dog “Brandy” and was a friendly person who loved the outdoors.
A Memorial Service was held at the Harrison Hall, Harrison Hot Springs Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Neill McRae officiated.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sally; daughter, Heather (Brad) Ashdown of Chilliwack; daughter, Susan Jagger of Harrison Hot Springs; from his first marriage his daughters, Cathy (Colin) Gandy of St. John‘s N.B.; Leanne (Frank) of California; 2 grandchildren: Breanna and Kaitlyn; sister, Kay (Gord) Beatty of Toronto; nephew, Steven Beatty; niece, Sandra Mazurek; nephew, Doug Beatty and niece, Madison Beatty.

Fritz passed away peacefully at home in Greendale after a short battle when his melonoma returned. He is now in the arms of our heavenly Father and free of pain. He was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Olive and his brother Ron. Fritz is survived by his loving wife Linda, stepson Andrew and many extended family members and cherished friends. Fritz loved his years teaching in the Abbotsford School district and after retirement was passionate about serving the Lord in many ways, including a number of mission trips. Fritz was an inspiration to all who knew him and his love and generosity will continue to touch many lives. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 24th at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of the Nazarene, 9340 Windsor Street, Chilliwack. Pastor Marty Taylor officiating. Mary Lillian Phipps passed away on March 16, 2006 at Heritage Village at the age of 87 years. She was born in Oakville, Manitoba on January 5, 1919 to Minnie Johnson and Roland Thynne.
Mary lived with her family in various towns and cities on the prairies. She returned to Winnipeg in 1962 and after having a stroke in the fall of 2000 she moved to Chilliwack, B.C. to be with her daughter. She was a resident of Parkholm Lodge and upon its closing she moved to Heritage Village.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
She is survived by two daughters: Hilda (Jack) Bergeron of Chilliwack, B.C.; Diana (Steve) Barry of Ottawa, Ont.; a son, Lawrence (Charlotte) of Tillsonburg, Ont.; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva in Calgary, Alta.; a brother, Harold in Kerwood, Ont. and a brother, Orville in Portage la Prairie, Man.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 1982; a granddaughter, Ann Phipps in 1981; brothers, Lawrence Thynne of Sarnia, Ont.; Donald of London, Ont.; and a sister, Hazel Thompson of Westbourne, Man.
She will be missed by her family. She is happy in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
