Passed away March 20, 2001, William Albert “Al” Harrison, late of Sechelt, age 75 years.
Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Enid; 3 children: Christine Harrison (Robert Ellerton), Patricia Shtokalko (Gary), and Bill Harrison (Adele Labrie); 5 grandchildren: Zoe, Liam and Aja Ellerton; Alex and Debra Shtokalko; 1 brother Dick Harrison (Irene); 3 sisters: Yvonne Greenwood (Art), Nita Halsall (Harry), and Barbara Side (Al); numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Brian Harrison.
Al had varied interests including flying, photography and music.
Visitation Monday, March 26 from 3-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, Gibsons.
Service Tuesday, March 27 at 3 pm in St. John’s United Church, Davis Bay, Rev. Janice Young officiating.
Cremation. No flowers by request; remembrance donations may be made to the Cancer Society.

Passed away at home on March 17, 2001, André Lucien Michaud, late of Gibsons, age 67 years.
Survived by his loving wife Valdine; 3 daughters: Esther (David) Douglas, Reneé (John) Pollock, Anne-Marie (Gordon) Fallis; 5 grandchildren: Jebril, Lauren, Ellen, Michaela and Callum; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, many nieces and nephews.
André was a log barge loader with Kingcome Navigation for 24 years.
Served with the Royal 22e Regiment (Airborne) in Korea.
Funeral service Thursday, March 22 at 2:30 pm in St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Gibsons, Rev. Sheila Flynn officiating.
Cremation to follow. A reception will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109, Gibsons.

Formerly of Richmond (pre-deceased by husband Fred) passed away Dec. 20, 2001 in England due to complications resulting from being struck by a car.
Eileen died peacefully, surrounded by loving family, including twin sister Peggy and sister Kathleen.

After a year long battle with cancer Bruce died at home peacefully Christmas morning.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters & son-in-laws Nancy & Dan Gauvin, Cathy & Brad Rumball, Janet & Darren Chambers, & Marnie McLeod.
Grandchildren Kristi & Michael Shepherd & Candice & Sean Rumball.
He was predeceased by his first wife Marilyn, his mother Gertrude McLeod from Treherne Manitoba and his sister Audrey Bultink from St Paul Minnesota all in 1991.
Bruce was a member of Teamster Local 155 (movie industry) he was active for over 40 years in the Vintage Car Club of Canada & a founding member of the Abbotsford chapter.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

aged 92 years passed away peacefully on December 20, 2001 at Ridge Meadows Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife Frieda, children, Shirley (Mel) Lepin, Elmer (Annette), Ken (Diane), Arlene (Albert) Gaucher, Karen (Steve) Grohme, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one brother, 3 sisters and many other relatives.
Frank was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2831.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2001. at 1:00 p.m. at Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858 - 216 Street, Maple Ridge.

Born in Kamloops, B.C., January 19, 1913.
Died peacefully on December 22, 2001. Predeceased by his beloved wife Audrey in 1989.
A man of enormous integrity who always put the needs of others before his own.
He and his wonderful smile will be sorely missed by his daughter Barbara Appleton, grandson Andrew Appleton and Andrew's wife Jodi.
He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, his sisters-in-law Phyllis and Joyce and his Latremouille cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C.

Beloved daughter of Kathy Kneale (nee Thain) and John Neeld left us suddenly on Christmas Day.

STEELE - Frank Pettman. Passed away peacefully at his home on February 8, 2002 in the presence of his wife of 55 years, Nancy Mildred (nee Taunton).
Born March 30, 1916 in Vancouver, and raised in Vancouver and North Vancouver, Frank first went to work for the Eastman Kodak Company.
He soon obtained employment as a sales representative for the Royal Crown Soap Company.
In WW11 Frank served as a pilot with the RCAF, and then joined Lever Brothers Canada which had purchased Royal Crown.
He quickly rose to the position of General Manager for Canada for Levers based in Toronto, but chose to return to Vancouver for his family rather than pursue the rewards of high corporate office.
He served as manager of Lever`s operations in Western Canada until his retirement at 65.
After "retirement", he worked for another four years as a consultant for one of Lever`s subsidiaries, Vancouver Fancy Meats.
Following his second retirement, Frank continued his association with the packaged goods industry through his membership in the Phoenix Food Group.
Frank was active in his community and church (St. Christopher`s, West Vancouver).
He was a member of the Rotary Club of Vancouver (Club Secretary 69/70 and President 73/74).
He was honored by the Rotary Club with the award of a Paul Harris Fellowship.
He served as a Director of Youville Residence.
Frank was widely known and respected in the packaged goods industry throughout both British Columbia and Canada.
He will be missed by his wife Nancy; their six children, Michael, Peter, Greg, Janice, Chris and Cathie; eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as by his brothers Pat and Herbert and sister Dorothy Evers.
A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held on Friday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Christophers Anglican Church, 11th Avenue and Inglewood, West Vancouver.

Passed away at Lions Gate Hospital surrounded by his loving family on February 11, 2002.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Jill, Christopher and Emily, as well as numerous other family members.
