Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2002.
Dougald is survived by his wife Mary, sister Sheila (Neil) McLardy, sons Andrew and David (Cindy), granddaughters Mary and Anna and by many family members here and abroad.
He will be greatly missed. A special thank you to Dr. Paul Klimo, Lions Gate Palliative Care and all of his other friends, family and care providers.

Harold was born February 7, 1926 in Portland Oregon.
Harold is survived by his daughter Marla Poling and his three sons, Ricky of Vancouver, B.C., Ronnie and Mark of Riverside, CA.

THOMSON, David.
January 19, 1912 - September 25, 2002.
David died peacefully in the Kiwanis Care Centre, North Vancouver on September 25, 2002.
Born in Ayrshire, Scotland January 19, 1912, he had an exciting career in aviation, first as a flyer and later as an airline representative.
He took part in the Berlin Airlift and the Pakistan Operation.
He trained flight crews in Greece after WWII.
Throughout his life, David was an avid sports fan, card player, a great dancer and a keen fly fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bet, his two sons, Gordon and Craig, two granddaughters, Irene and Candy and three great- grandchildren, Kelsey, Adam and Thomson.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who late in his life took special joy in his great- grandchildren.
The family would like to express special thanks to all the wonderful people at the Kiwanis Care Centre for their excellent care and thoughtfulness.
David will be missed by all of his family and friends but we know he has not left us; he has just gone fishing.

Passed away Saturday, September 28th, 2002 aged 15 years.
Rodney is predeceased by his cousin David, Auntie Cheryl and Grandfather James.

Final viewing will be held at the Church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 10:30 a.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2nd, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cuthberts Anglican Church, 11601- 82nd Avenue, Delta. Cremation.

HEWETT - Verna Eileen.
Passed away on September 25, 2002, in her 81st year at Ladysmith Hospital.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Jim, her children, Bill (Yvonne), Pat (Mel) Turner, Jim (Marje), her grandchildren, Scott, Kevin, Julie, Laura, Daniel, Mark, Alison and her great granddaughter, Ella.
Verna was born and raised in Etzikom, Alberta, served in the Canadian Navy as a Wren nursing sister, married Jim during the war and resided in North and West Vancouver, Mayne Island and Ladysmith.
Verna was a devoted wife and a caring mom and grandma.
She will be remembered for her loving support of her family and her contributions to her children's schools, her community and the Blood Bank.
A memorial service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 309 Buller St., Ladysmith on Thursday, October 3, 2002, at 1:00 pm.

Passed away Thursday September 26, 2002 at Surrey Memorial Hospital at the age of 82.
Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Donna, grandsons Kelly (Nicole), Steve (Nicole), Perry, Randall and Dean (Dawn), great grandchildren Alexis, Justine, Jaydn, Lauren, Connor and another on the way, sisters Stella and Helen; also by other familly members and many loving friends.
Mary was an icon in the Lower Mainland since arriving from Ontario in 1942.
Mary was talented, organized, vibrant, warm and loving to all who knew her.
She gave of herself to many organizations selflessly, too many to mention here.
She loved cooking, dressing welll, games and watching her golf.
Most of all she loved her family and friends to the utmost.
All who knew her sill miss her smile, laughter and baking.
We are comforted in teh thought that she has joined her beloved husband Eddie and her son Barry. Walk with God.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ocean View Fuenral Home, 4000 Imperial st., Burnaby.

Irmgard Maria Spann passed away peacefully at MSA Hospital on June 4, 2003.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years. Thomas and 8 Children, Gunther, Werner, Tom, Marilyn, Gordon, David, Norman and Sylvia along with their respective spouses, 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her parents Johann and Maria Baumgartner and her grandson, Thomas Edward Spann, predeceased her. DOUGLAS Brandan Robert Mathew "Dennis"
Passed away suddenly in a tragic accident on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at the tender age of eight years.
Brandan will be very sadly missed by his loving mother Brenda Lynn Douglas and sister Crystal Diane Douglas as well as his grandmother, Diane Smith and husband Jon, many cousins, aunties, uncles, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather Charlie Douglas. Prayer Services for Brandan were held from his home at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday June 5. Funeral Services took place at 10:00 A.M. on Friday June 6 from the Cheam Community Church with Father Gary Gordon officiating. An interment followed in the Cheam Cemetery with a dinner afterwards in the Cheam Community Hall.

Born September 10, 1918 in Sardis, B.C., passed away May 29, 2003 in Maple Ridge, B.C.
Predeceased by her husband Jim Finch. Survived by her daughters: Pat (Murray) Owen, and Julie Flowerdew, step family: Lael (Dave) McEown, Ken (Jean) Finch and Kathy (Roy) Brown, grandchildren: Mindy, Kate, Deb, Jhenn, Darcy, Margot, Lisa, Clare, and Jason, great grandchildren: Bryce, Dylan, Reid, Jack, Alexa and Layne.
Ollie was an avid gardener, keen bridge player and a persistent golfer.
Her crowning golf achievement was her hole in one.
As co-founder and later sole proprietor of Maple Ridge Travel Agency, she brought the joys of travel within easy reach for residents of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
Her community mindedness extended to being the first woman president (1972) of the Chamber of Commerce, serving on Ridge Meadows Hospital Board and supporting Cythera Transition House.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ridge Meadows Hospital 2 West and TCU; the staff at Willow Manor and especially her physicians Dr. D. Chapman and Dr. M. Terweil for their care giving over the years.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, June 13, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Pitt Meadows Golf Club, 13615 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows, B.C.
